Hotel property and location are great. Service and professionalism lacking. We arrived early (~10am) to check-in, but the front desk receptionist said that rooms were not inspected yet, thus they could not offer the a room to us yet. Then she goes on to say we could have a room for x $ per hour until the 3pm check in time. I've never experienced such a thing before. The money was not an issue, it was the fact that a room was available ,but was not offered. Other than that, the property itself was nice and the ocean views from the room were excellent.

This hotel is not up to the standards of the Starwood group. I have come to expect exceptional experiences in the Starwood hotel group but the service here was unacceptable. The single star is only for the fact that the views and location are very nice but someone needs to seriously retrain or fire the staff. The registration was completely horrible. The female day manager was rude and actually lied to my companion (in Spanish) that she was the only manager. I had to step in and ask her to call her boss to resolve the issue. Also, the restaurant will also try to add additional tax. I hope the Starwood reps do an on-site review soon.

A lot more was expected from what has been rated as "one of the top three hotels in Vina del Mar." I was disappointed from the moment I stepped into the room. It was convenient to be so close to everything in town, but that meant that we could not enjoy the sound of the ocean because all we could hear was the traffic from the street (a price you pay, I guess). And although the room we requested did indeed have a no smoking sign right outside the door, we still woke up every morning to a very strong smell of cigarette smoke (which we found was coming through a vent in the closet of our room, therefore destroying the purpose of requesting a "smoke-free room"). Also, two of five can lights in our room were not working and although we notified a hotel worker the very first day of our stay, they were never replaced at any point. Lastly, and most disappointing, do not expect to be able to request information about your reservation and have it be accurate. The hotel's system can sometimes "have problems" that cause it to not show accurate details about your reservation which can result in being charged for things that you may have thought came complimentary with your stay.

Beautiful views and friendly food service but this property seriously lacks guest service. I spent four days here, only eating at the hotel and became very ill. I arrived late at night and found a dark lobby with a security guard standing in the corner. For $540 night, I received a broken shower (with only cold water), broken TV, and numerous burnt out lights. The highlight for me was the friendly food service staff. Not what I'm used to from Sheraton...I was really looking forward to experiencing this property. Now I hope I don't have to return.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Miramar hotel in Viña del Mar and have only good things to say about it. The staff were very attentive; from the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. The restaurant had amazing food and very relaxing atmosphere. The bedroom very comfortable and has a beautiful view of the ocean. You feel like you're the only one in the hotel. My husband and I also got massages that were probably one of the best we've ever had. We arrived at the hotel tense and stressed and left relax and rejuvenated. I would definitely come back and would suggest this hotel to other couples!

While the convention service during my event was well handled. The event planning prior was not. Unreturned phone calls and a lack of follow up was cause for concern. An event next door to mine prevented me from using the sound necessary for my presentation. I had to solicit event services outside the hotel because the event manager would not assist.

This was a fabulous stay at your hotel. beginning with a very warm welcome including a birthday treat and nice card, to lucio's continuous assistance with helping us locate a missing wallet at a vineyard, giving us countless directions and overall checking on us. The facilities were great (only suggestion would be a cleaner women's locker room and steam) and we very much enjoyed our
