We stayed at this Sheraton mainly for the location in Midtown. We were very pleased with the decor of the hotel and especially the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Though the hotel is located in a very busy part of Minneapolis, we rarely heard any noise and had no difficulty with parking. Loved that it was next door to the World Market...great place to get a quick muffin or unique lunch items. Will stay again!

The Sheraton is connected to Children's and Abbott by skyway plus they have a shuttle bus! That was VERY helpful for our family and will keep us coming back if needed. It was also very nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. (Although it was very cold in there during our January stay). It was helpful to have a hospital discount rate.

We have been staying at this property for 5 years, and the parking in and out is always a hassle! Sometimes the gate goes up with a room key, other times NOT. Now they have a special "blue" key, but that also had some issues.
Also, when they fill up their lot for parties and special events, hotel guests have to park in an adjacent lot and sometimes wait for a spot there, as well.
Improvement is needed!!!!!

Our stay was over a weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). A wedding party was staying on our floor during our stay. Kids left alone in room next to us playing Wii all hours of the night. Wedding party came and went all night. Finally quiet after 3AM. We needed to be up at 6AM. Called the desk several times during the night. The staff responded but the quiet was only temporary. A drunk wedding party and kids left on their own hopefully were not the norm for this hotel but when I went to talk to the front desk in the morning when I checked out I was completely ignored as she was clearly more interested in carrying on conversation with another guest and checking football scores on her phone. Location was not great., not in a good neighborhood. Charged for parking without telling me. Restaurant in hotel OK. Bartender was also the server so service was slow. Would not stay here again.

I enjoy the quality of Sheraton properties and their high standard in their rooms. The restaurant is exceptional and wonderful soups are offered daily. Close proximity to the hospital allows for walking instead of driving. Disappointed in the lack of choices in the club lounge for breakfast and social hour. Charge for fridge in room. Was charged for parking when I parked at the hospital parking ramp.

Tarid was the best front desk person I have ever worked with. Professional, friendly and worked hard to meet my needs. Baheru & Michael did an excellent job in driving, always trying to meet schedule needs.
Disappointed in the club level. Breakfast was only continential and no drinks at night. The rooms could use dressers espcially for long stays.
Overall a pleasant stay, more because of the staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in. The lounge area was a great place to meet up with friends also staying at the hotel. Room 226 was very quiet even though it faced the bus terminal. It was up-dated and very clean.

Very nice hotel with antiquated internet that is difficult to manage through and lacks capacity. Several times recieved messages indicating maximum number of users reached and try again later. Definately not sufficient for a business traveler. Shuttle to local area was very convienent and useful. Fine hotel for a pleasure traveler. However, the internet alone makes this non-recomendable.

I've stayed here a few times. Location is great (for my business) and the fitness center is pretty decent. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast in the club lounge was quite below average - automated coffee, yougurt and a little bit of bread. I see some other equipment tucked away but it wasn't in operation during my stay. No waffles, bananas, etc.

The nightly rate I paid for this hotel was higher than any hotel I have ever stayed in yet there was not even a refrigerator or microwave in the room. The beds were not secured to the headboard. When one person sat down on the end of the bed, the other end flew up in the air like a seesaw. We were on the Club floor which apparently provides more amenities than other hotel guests. Those amenities seemingly consist of continental breakfast as well as afternoon / evening snacks... both of which were minimal and completely unimpressive. We asked to be placed in a room close to the elevator due to mobility problems and were put in a room at the opposite end of the hall. This is the only time in my life I have complained about my accommodations. All in all the best thing that happened during my stay was when the nice man at the front desk reduced my room rate and brought me a refrigerator at no additional charge.

First l would like the say that I did not have a bad stay by any means. Its just that the little things started to add up. For example just after we checked in we wanted to order room service and there wasn't a menu in the room and it took about 20 minutes to get one sent up. This and a few other minor things just bugged me. I guess I would have expected more from a Sheridan.

We spent two nights and we were impressed by the comfort of the mattress/bedding/pillows. Clean room. Nicely furnished. Great service in lounge/restaurant late one evening by both servers. Friendly front desk.
Negatives: housekeeping took our dirty towels and never replaced even after a phonecall to the front desk asking for more. We were in town for a wedding weekend.

This hotel is very conveniently located near Abbot Northwestern hospital and Minneapolis Children's Hospital, and both of those institutions are accessible via a series of skywalks and tunnels from the hotel: a real advantage in nasty Minnesota winters. We were obligated to travel over Christmas as our child was scheduled to have surgery the morning of 12/26. When the already friendly and helpful staff found out the reason for our trip, they went out of their way to make our stay fun, memorable, and exciting for our two children.
I've always been impressed with the quality of the accommodations, and the proximity to the Global Market with its plethora of fun shops and unique dining options make this a great choice for a stay in Minneapolis.
The only downside to this hotel in general is that the area it is located in seems just a touch on the seedy side. However, I have never worried about my vehicle in the parking area or about my own safety walking to the Global Market after dark.

This hotel has a superb staff. All of its features are great but the employees made this stay memorable. Everyone from the front desk, wait staff, shutttle drivers to the security officers were kind, helpful and warm. By sheer happenstance our daughter ended up in Abbot Northwestern Hospital during our stay. How thankful we were for the close proximity and the shuttle.

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel while at Abbott Northwestern. The staff is great, the accommodations excellent, decor certainly upbeat and uptempo from most, and the restaurant/bar is more than adequate. For convenience to the hospital it doesn't get any better, especially with the indoor walkways to keep you out of the weather most of the way!

Hotel went above and beyond to recognize me as a platinum guest. Upgraded room, handwritten note from the manager and some free drink coupons were all in my room when I arrived.
The location isn't the best for the downtown crowd, but the free shuttle more than makes up for it. Their driver is very friendly and eager to help. Will definitely stay here again.

We come to Minneapolis several times a year. We have tried many different hotels in the city. This was our first stay at the Sheraton Mid-town. The bed was extremely comfortable, the entire hotel was clean, the staff was very helful and it is in a convenient location. I have already made my next 3 reservations back at this hotel. A diamond in the rough....

We had 2 ajoining rooms, one with a king bed, a mini fridge and microwave which came in very handy. The bed was very comfortable, the decor was lovely! We ate dinner downstairs at the small restaraunt and it was very good as well! The club level relaxing area was awesome. We will definately look to stay at this Sheraton location when we visit again!

The location for us is very handy and everything you might need is available in the nearby Global Market. The desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't get a chance to try out the restaurant or bar but there were always people in it and that's a good sign. We were disappointed that we had to pay for parking a block away however.

I had not checked out on two stays. The first time the bed was stripped and the second time I was in the room when the maid came in. I agreed to not changing the linen.Nothing was done except raise the shade. The waste baskets were not emptied, and the coffee was not replaced. It would be nice to have a sink with a plug for a sponge bath.

We stayed at this hotel because it was attached to Abbott and my mother was having surgery. From reservations, to check-in and check-out it was a wonderful experience. We recommended it to my bother and his wife as well as my mom was in the hospital for several days and they said they had the same wonderful experience. Thank you SO much!

My trip was short and sweet, however the staff met or exceeded my EVERY request! The restaurant and bar was extremely attentive, not to mention good! I will absolutely stay again, if need be. My choosing this particular hotel is because it is attached to the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN where my sister had surgery.

This is an excellent hotel... MY only issue is the shade didn't work on the big window... We called and housekeeping was gone for day. They sent security and she didn't know how to lower either as it was stuck..... We were not offered a different room and didn't get a decent nights sleep as the room got light so early..........

Dear Sheraton Management
My father had surgery on Wednesday Oct 23rd. It was a very invasive and hard surgery for him. The doctor wasn’t sure if he would come out of it. So my Mom and I decided to stay at your hotel Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown. In Minneapolis, MN.
It was a very long and stressful time for us. Thankfully my Dad did well with the surgery and is in a Nursing home now mending. He has a long way to go.
The purpose of this letter is to tell you how upset I am with the room we had. We had a very stressful day and had to come back to the room (319), It had a sink that was cracked all the way through. The vent in the bathroom was disgusting with dust. I am allergic to dust besides. I have never had to pay so much for such an awful room. I have pictures so you can see what it was like. Needless to say I will not stay in that hotel again. I can’t believe any hotel can get by with this type of service and cleanliness .

We picked this hotel,because we had a wedding to go to and this one offered shuttle service! I must say that all the service we received was great! From the checking in with Tariq, to the shuttle drivers our experience was a good one! The beds are most comfortable too!! We will stay here again for sure!!! Thanks!!

The front desk people were so helpful. When there were issues getting me connected to the network, printing and important document for my meeting or with my power cable failing on my computer, they were there to help. The staff was so nice and the beds and pillows comfy. I'll be back to visit again for sure.

I have stayed at this location many times before and the staff who was great from the very first time, seems to get better and better with each stay. The staff members at the front desk and lounge treat me like family not just a guest. I always recommend this location to my team members that travel.

Many thanks for your connection to the new Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern. That's the reason I stayed at the Sheraton! You are, however, difficult to get to. Be sure that your reservation staff gives directions for getting to the hotel (NOT off Chicago, although that's your address).

The bed needs replacing...lopsided. Evidently many prior guests slept only on one side of the bed and therefore, my partner nearly rolled out of bed all night as mattress was at an uncomfortable angle and did not have a good nightsd sleep. Otherwise it was nice and beautiful bathroom.

very frustrated experience with the hotel and the reservations department also was lied to about their shuttle service had to pay for a cab to get to my destination and also was lied to about the shuttle pick up times that were displayed on the sheet of paper that I received from their front desk, they never showed up to pick me up and when I called they told me there was no shuttle scheduled I said I have the schedule in front of me and they told me it was wrong I am still upset with this chain and the fact that they made me late for this wedding and the fact it has now gotten everyone at the wedding upset with me because the wedding was held up because of me, I didn't do this I told them this frustration was all caused by the Sheraton Hotel. so thanks again for all the fond memories of the stay with THE Sheraton and the fact that I now have members of my family and people as far away as Japan and Thailand upset with me because of a decision I made back on October 26th 2012 to stay at the Sheraton Hotel
