Rated 3 out of 5 by Horrible Internet Very nice hotel with antiquated internet that is difficult to manage through and lacks capacity. Several times recieved messages indicating maximum number of users reached and try again later. Definately not sufficient for a business traveler. Shuttle to local area was very convienent and useful. Fine hotel for a pleasure traveler. However, the internet alone makes this non-recomendable. July 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel - club level mediocre... I've stayed here a few times. Location is great (for my business) and the fitness center is pretty decent. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast in the club lounge was quite below average - automated coffee, yougurt and a little bit of bread. I see some other equipment tucked away but it wasn't in operation during my stay. No waffles, bananas, etc. July 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 Greatly Disappointed The nightly rate I paid for this hotel was higher than any hotel I have ever stayed in yet there was not even a refrigerator or microwave in the room. The beds were not secured to the headboard. When one person sat down on the end of the bed, the other end flew up in the air like a seesaw. We were on the Club floor which apparently provides more amenities than other hotel guests. Those amenities seemingly consist of continental breakfast as well as afternoon / evening snacks... both of which were minimal and completely unimpressive. We asked to be placed in a room close to the elevator due to mobility problems and were put in a room at the opposite end of the hall. This is the only time in my life I have complained about my accommodations. All in all the best thing that happened during my stay was when the nice man at the front desk reduced my room rate and brought me a refrigerator at no additional charge. July 2, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by I expected little more bit overall good stay First l would like the say that I did not have a bad stay by any means. Its just that the little things started to add up. For example just after we checked in we wanted to order room service and there wasn't a menu in the room and it took about 20 minutes to get one sent up. This and a few other minor things just bugged me. I guess I would have expected more from a Sheridan. August 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has a superb staff This hotel has a superb staff. All of its features are great but the employees made this stay memorable. Everyone from the front desk, wait staff, shutttle drivers to the security officers were kind, helpful and warm. By sheer happenstance our daughter ended up in Abbot Northwestern Hospital during our stay. How thankful we were for the close proximity and the shuttle. November 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Most comfortable mattress/bedding/pillows We spent two nights and we were impressed by the comfort of the mattress/bedding/pillows. Clean room. Nicely furnished. Great service in lounge/restaurant late one evening by both servers. Friendly front desk. Negatives: housekeeping took our dirty towels and never replaced even after a phonecall to the front desk asking for more. We were in town for a wedding weekend. September 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Night staff's behavior needs improvement The night staff -- a Mr. Kristian was the one I dealt with -- could try showing a bit more understanding toward guests whose sleep is disturbed by noisy people wandering the halls at length late at night, instead of lecturing those who bring them to his attention. Another improvement might be for the staff to confirm the facts of a situation before taking action. May 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Staff Service A dead battery on my van (left lights on) could have prevented us from getting to a wedding rehearsal in time but Jude at the Reservations Desk drove his personal car over for a jump and we were on our way. That's service!!! Brunch was delicious; the staff making it an enjoyable meal! They were friendly and efficient! My 3 & 5 yr olds were given the royal treatment. March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel For Business or Hospital Stay This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel while at Abbott Northwestern. The staff is great, the accommodations excellent, decor certainly upbeat and uptempo from most, and the restaurant/bar is more than adequate. For convenience to the hospital it doesn't get any better, especially with the indoor walkways to keep you out of the weather most of the way! January 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everything we needed and more From the time we walked in the door and were greeted by Jude everything went smoothly. Jude has a great attitude and went above and beyond to meet our needs and make sure we were treated like the most important guests of the year. The room was perfect, very comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay there again. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great loation for medical services, excellent staff This was a top notch room which met our needs well. All Staff were great! The only concern was the room lacked a dresser style cabinet to store clothes, socks, etc. It only had a wardrobe cabinet for hanging shirts, pants, etc. but no drawers. We had to place all of our non-hanging clothing on the desk and table under the TV. A rather un-functional setting?? March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Service Hotel went above and beyond to recognize me as a platinum guest. Upgraded room, handwritten note from the manager and some free drink coupons were all in my room when I arrived. The location isn't the best for the downtown crowd, but the free shuttle more than makes up for it. Their driver is very friendly and eager to help. Will definitely stay here again. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel but room for improvement The hotel is a nice facility and we found the people working there nice. Some more competent than others. Check in was lacking and room service didn't show up but on the other hand the customer service of the lady during breakfast was outstanding! Check with the desk for restaurant/bar hours as they were not as posted on the website. July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Hotel in Minneapolis We come to Minneapolis several times a year. We have tried many different hotels in the city. This was our first stay at the Sheraton Mid-town. The bed was extremely comfortable, the entire hotel was clean, the staff was very helful and it is in a convenient location. I have already made my next 3 reservations back at this hotel. Pleased with club and service Suggest beer and wine available in club rather than running for it. Detraction was the carpet throughout the facility needs to be replaced. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice rooms! We had 2 ajoining rooms, one with a king bed, a mini fridge and microwave which came in very handy. The bed was very comfortable, the decor was lovely! We ate dinner downstairs at the small restaraunt and it was very good as well! The club level relaxing area was awesome. We will definately look to stay at this Sheraton location when we visit again! Rated 3 out of 5 by Minneapolis Midtown - Okay The hotel was pretty nice as far as features and appearance. The parking lot was often very full, though. I had an issue with the club level lounge, which I reported to the manager, and they took prompt action. Nice location next to the Midtown Exchange, lots of variety in food and some shopping. Although, my room was not cleaned the one day, I believe there may have been a language barrier with the housekeeping staff. In any event, I was given a coupon for a free breakfast. When I checked in, I was also given a free upgrade on my room to the club level. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. June 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by 1st time at the Sheration near Global Market in Minneapolis The location for us is very handy and everything you might need is available in the nearby Global Market. The desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't get a chance to try out the restaurant or bar but there were always people in it and that's a good sign. We were disappointed that we had to pay for parking a block away however. August 26, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mrs. I had not checked out on two stays. The first time the bed was stripped and the second time I was in the room when the maid came in. I agreed to not changing the linen.Nothing was done except raise the shade. The waste baskets were not emptied, and the coffee was not replaced. It would be nice to have a sink with a plug for a sponge bath. September 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel staff and hotel were FANTASTIC! We stayed at this hotel because it was attached to Abbott and my mother was having surgery. From reservations, to check-in and check-out it was a wonderful experience. We recommended it to my bother and his wife as well as my mom was in the hospital for several days and they said they had the same wonderful experience. Thank you SO much! April 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by convienent for hospital access! The Sheraton is connected to Children's and Abbott by skyway plus they have a shuttle bus! That was VERY helpful for our family and will keep us coming back if needed. It was also very nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. (Although it was very cold in there during our January stay). It was helpful to have a hospital discount rate. January 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Hotel My trip was short and sweet, however the staff met or exceeded my EVERY request! The restaurant and bar was extremely attentive, not to mention good! I will absolutely stay again, if need be. My choosing this particular hotel is because it is attached to the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN where my sister had surgery. Rated 4 out of 5 by Not up to Sheraton standards I stayed on the Club Level (4th floor) and was surprised at how dirty the carpets were on this level (shouldn't be like that on any level). There were many carpet stains on the way to my room. The complimentary Club Level breakfast was sub-par. I have stayed in many Club Level Sheratons and this was by far the worst. Others had hot cooked eggs kwith sausage or bacon, better fruit, oatmeal. This breakfast was a cold breakfast. The day we arrived, there was a note saying the coffee machine was broken and a thermos of coffee was in its place. This was fine b/c this coffee came from the kitchen. Then the next day the coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine was back. What a joke. The machine made very weak coffee and the espresso button made about 3 oz. The machine was extremely slow so it took too long for multiple guests to get a cup of coffee. The young lady who worked on the floor smartly had a thermos of coffee from the kitchen which was better. The breakfast needs an overhaul. July 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by shade didn't work This is an excellent hotel... MY only issue is the shade didn't work on the big window... We called and housekeeping was gone for day. They sent security and she didn't know how to lower either as it was stuck..... We were not offered a different room and didn't get a decent nights sleep as the room got light so early.......... Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable Place to Stay Everything about the Hotel was great except we only had 2 bath towels in our room. I use two just for me, so I thought that was a little odd. I have always seen 4 in a room, so maybe this was just a housekeeping error. The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. All in all, I thought it was wonderful for the price! Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful experience!! We picked this hotel,because we had a wedding to go to and this one offered shuttle service! I must say that all the service we received was great! From the checking in with Tariq, to the shuttle drivers our experience was a good one! The beds are most comfortable too!! We will stay here again for sure!!! Thanks!! October 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Place to Stay This hotel has all the amenities - great rooms, fantastic service, and delicious food. I had free wifi, a large desk to spread my paperwork upon, a the Club floor that I stayed on had a healthy offering for both evening and breakfast. Rated 3 out of 5 by average stay The hotel was average which is fine. Two problems occurred. I was overcharged for a bar tab. I did not realize it until the next day when I ordered the smae two items at a completely different price. Lastly, my room was never made up on Saturday night. Rated 3 out of 5 by Location This hotel was chosen because of the proximity to family. Did not expect a bus center in the same lot. I know it has been a long, cold winter but the outside grounds had a lot of trash laying around. Staff friendly but should have been more forthcoming about pet policy on the phone when I made reservations. March 31, 2014
