Rated 5 out of 5 by The Sheraton Mid-Town was horrible SPG customer service was awesome I had multiple neg. issues with the Sheraton Mid-Town and the General Manager was not that helpful. But the Customer Service from the SPG support was awesome and very willing to help me out. So impressed SPG customer service they get a 5+++++++ from me July 14, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by So disappointed in this Sheraton Hotel The lobby is very appealing but once you get up to the floors the carpeting is filthy not just in the Hallways but also in the rooms. Over all the place was not appealing for the money they charged. Sent a email to corporate stating my concerns. Received a email back that basically said they were aware of the problems but it was due to previous management. Then when I checked my bank they over charged me by $14.35 then what my statement from them said. It's not much money but it wasn't worth what I paid in the first place let alone more then what they claimed they were charging. I would never recommend this hotel. July 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing as usual! This is my third stay at Midtown and it continues to be my favorite place to stay when visiting the city! The staff was great including the front desk, shuttle and particularly the F&B staff. Our server on Friday, who was also our bartender on Saturday, was funny and provided great service. Our bartender on Friday was also amazing! The shuttle service was seamless and our driver, Dan, was a pleasure. We even had a great conversation with the security guard "Sgt Love!" I could go on, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Minneapolis area. Thank you! June 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Will Never Return I expected much more from a Sheraton. The hotel was extremely dirty. From the moment we walked in I noticed a very unpleasant smell and feeling that the hotel was not clean. The carpet in the hallways was absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe that this is acceptable from the Sheraton Hotel grouping. There must be a regional Manager who tours hotels to make sure they are meeting expectations. Where is he/she? This hotel is far from acceptable. Also needs remodeling desperately. it should be closed or remodeled, but is not suitable to be open for business as it is now. May 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay! So I am from the Minneapolis area and I wanted to give my buddy a great stay for his bachelor party. I chose this hotel because of the proximity to downtown and uptown. However I knew that growing up this used to be a rougher side of town. Once we stepped into the hotel it was as if we were stepping to a totally different location. Everything inside was beautiful. We stayed in a gorgeous suite with all the amenities. The next morning we wanted to work out and went to the gym downstairs. It had huge windows with a gorgeous view of a trail where bikers and runners are flying by. Afterwards we relaxed in the club which is nice that its right there when you get off the elevator instead of going to a locked room out of the way of your room. We definitely had the time of our lives and everyone (eapecially the groom) was just blown away by this little gem in the odd side of town. May 9, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Never Before In my stays with SPG hotels, I always recommended staying in the hotels I've stayed in. This is the first time I don't do that. The reason: this hotel has seen much better days. This was my hotel of choice for years. It had, and still has, one of the best deals in Minneapolis. The price is great because some people may be worried of the area in which the hotel is located. For me, I don't care. But, I do care when I see carpets with spots and dirty. I do care when my heater in the room did not work. I do care when I am staying in a Sheraton, and not a budget hotel, yet I find plastic cups in the bathroom. I do care when the elevators look and feel so old. When this hotel first opened up, it was a gem. Not anymore. It will take a lot of work to get back to its glorious self. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Confusing policy We found the housekeeping policy somewhat confusing. While we certainly want to conserve water and towels, etc., placing the white card on the door handle should not mean that you get NO housekeeping services at all. Ideally the room should be straightened up, the bed made up (using the same sheets), the bathroom cleaned and only towels on the floor replaced. It shouldn't mean that nobody comes in at all. Your card does not give an option for that: general housekeeping but only replace towels left on the floor. It implied all or nothing. If we chose nothing (by placing the card on the door), we came back to a messy room that had not been cleaned at all. If we didn't place the card, we were not participating in your "green" efforts. It was a difficult decision. You should have an option in between. Other than that, everything was excellent and very hospitable. We were very grateful for the wonderful shuttle service to the hospital. March 17, 2016
