Rated 4 out of 5 by Fab hotel with computer glitches Love the hotel!! We ate dinner in the diningroom and I was charged someone elses bill--$10.00 more than mine. AND the COMPUTER wouldn't let them correct it. Night person was rude and not helpful. October 7, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has a wonderful breakfast! The breakfast was fabulous, though do request an earlier set up prior if you need breakfast for a sports team as the weekends are set up at 7:00 am, which doesn't always work for early games. May 13, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by The rooms need updating. Stayed in Room 212. No wash cloths, the first night. The room smelled like smoke. The shower drained very slowly. When I got done showering there was 4 inches of water still in the tub. July 13, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sunday breakfast As a baseball team, breakfast serving beginning at 7am didn't help us as we had an 8am game. For future purposes, please reconsider this as it does have an impact on future stays. August 19, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Upgrade failure! I travel a bit for business and have come to have some knowledge in the ammenities afforded most travelers. My wife booked a weekend get away for the family and was excited to inform me that she had recieved an opportunity to upgrade to a Suite from our King room. I was disappointed and surprised to learn that with Sheraton, a Suite definition meant that our King room had a fridge and micro-wave. Items that in my travels are standard in comparable rooms. Staff did adjust us to a proper Suite with seperated lounge and sleep areas. Staff was courterous and made the adjustment promptly, but as a guest to a Sheraton property I should not have been the one to initiate this upgrade. This leads me to believe that Sheraton and Starwood Hotels employ and encourage bait and switch sales tactics amoung staff at booking in the hopes that they can absorb a higher fee from an unsuspected traveler. After this experience I would not recommend Sheraton for other than a business trip where this is my only option, and have expresed to my wife and our extended family that for future such weekend or overnight get aways they seek out other family oriented accomidations. Truely dissappointed and did not live up to the standards of cutomer service I expected from a Sheraton. March 31, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unexpected Pleasure This hotel was great! The staff at check-in were so warm and friendly. The Club breakfast was wonderful! It was a complete breakfast, not just the carb loaded continental breakfast. It was also one of the nicest Sheraton lounges I have seen. There was a slight smell that permeates into the hotel from West Des Moines sewage, but it was tolerable. When I asked what I was smelling, they were honest with me and offerred to move me to another room. We chose to stay put and the smell eventually went away or maybe we just got used to it, because it really wasn't as bad as other reviews mentioned. The thermostat in our room wasn't working and our room was colder than we preferred. They immediately offerred to have maintenance come up. We were ready for bed, so we just opted to have additional blankets. We later realized that we just had to set the thermostat 10 degrees higher to 80 to get to 70, so we were plenty comfortable. There was a gentleman that helped me get milk for my girls before bed. I wish I knew his name, because he was so kind and accomodating and made us feel at home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! January 21, 2013
