We were in JAX for a wedding. We had all rooms on 6th floor, most on 5th and others. Showers were okay, but slippery when wet. Armoire was not good for long dresses. No drawers available for articles, but despite these shortcomings the staff were excellent and very responsive. The food was very good, well prepared. This is an excellent hotel for business travelers, but lacks amenities for weddings and personal family travel.

I am an SPG Gold member and have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past years as I travel between South Florida and North Carolina. In my early travels, this was a top notch hotel that even included a “Shula’s” restaurant.
I made reservations via phone to stay there the evening of Friday January 4, 2013. The SPG clerk told me that she could not book a king size bed if the room was occupied by three people (I travel with my wife, seven year old grandson, and a small Dachshund). I have never had a problem sleeping three in a king room in that hotel, but didn’t want to argue and instead booked two beds using my SPG points.
When I arrived at the hotel I identified myself as an SPG member by showing my card. I asked the clerk if there was a king room available and he replied yes. I asked if he could change my reservation to a king room and he said yes. I asked him if there was a club level upgrade available and he said there was (the hotel was less than 50% full). He then advised me that the upgrade would cost me an additional ten dollars. I asked him to verify this as I have never paid for an upgrade as long as there was one available. He insisted that there was a ten dollar charge. I agreed to pay it and proceeded to my room.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. My grandson and I went to the Club Level lounge at approximately 10:30 pm to make two hot chocolates and one coffee, as well as to get three bottles of cold water. The cooler which sometimes has cold water was completely empty (this happens more often than not). My grandson made the three drinks (he likes pushing the buttons on the automatic machine) and we went back to the room. We began to drink the hot chocolate and coffee only to discover a terrible taste. Upon removing the lids, we found that our hot chocolate and coffee was nothing more than warm, tan-colored water.
I left the room at 7:20 am to walk the dog. The Club Level lounge, which serves a small breakfast, had a tray with a couple of scoops of fruit and there were two bagels on a tray. The coffee machine that we tried using the night before, had a “temporarily out of service” sign on it. This is not the first time this happens during our stay. More often than not, it is out of service or being cleaned.
The breakfast, which prior to the ten dollar charge included a hot item such as eggs or French toast, was now only a poor excuse for a small continental breakfast. We grabbed a bowl of cereal and left. I picked up an SPG brochure and notice that it stated that SPG members received a “welcome gift”. I called the desk and the clerk told me we were entitled to drinks at the bar or 250 bonus points. At 10:30 in the morning, the drinks at the bar was not an option, though I certainly could have used one had I know about it after dealing with the clerk at check-in the night before.
It is unfortunate what has happened to this hotel over the years. I am not saying I will never stay there, but it will certainly be a last resort. The hotel shows by its actions that it really doesn’t think much of it’s SPG members.

Stayed here in July of 2013. When in our room we noticed what appeared to be mold on one of the walls. When I asked for a different room the person a the front counter hesitated at first and said that she did not have any rooms. I told her that we were not staying in a room with mold. She then transferred us to a different room. I later asked her what found in the room and she said that is was mold and they were sending a company out to clean it. I am very worried that this hotel would put their customers in danager by having them stay in a room with mold in it. I would have left but were out of options at the time. We will not stay here in the future.

Reservations when you call need to really pay attention to what you want. When we check in this last visit we were suppose to have a suite, got up to the room it was a standard room, with a king bed! We went down stairs, and told them, and they did give us a suite, but uped the price $20, and I told the girl on the phone, are you sure it's a suite for $89, she then booked it!! Last Dec. we were there at check in 3pm, and had to wait 45 minutes to be able to check in! In the room, there was a crack around the air, for such a nice hotel, you wouldn't expect to see the walls all dirty For usually there price being $139 and up, they would keep the hotel up!

I've had the pleasure of staying with the hotel for over 76 days. I have yet to find another hotel that offers such exceptional quality customer service as the Sheraton Jacksonville.
The hotel is very pet friendly and the staff aknowledge both the guest and pet every morning and night. They ensure to make you feel special in every way.
The location is perfect as well as the price. Would recommend to everyone.

This is a great property ideally suited for the frequent business traveler. Next time business takes me to Jacksonville, I will stay here again:

- Beautiful, modern property, with all the right touches
- Great service (although they wouldn't let me check in until 3)
- Great restaurant (and the bar, too!)
- Beautiful rooms with a highly functional bathroom with walk-in shower, an amazing firm bed, and great desk chair.
- In room Starbucks coffee
- GREAT air conditioner perfect for those who like sleeping in polar conditions
- Impressive fitness center
- Sadly, no outdoor pool
I highly recommend this Sheraton and can't wait to stay again.

We frequently stay at this hotel and love the staff there. We feel as if we are being welcomed home. After a long drive to arrive at the hotel, we are instantly comforted by the staff. We enjoy the convenience of the location to all functions in Jacksonville, especially St. John's Town Center where we love to walk around after we check in from the long drive. It helps us get rid of the energy built up by sitting several hours. We are looking forward to our next stay at this hotel, hopefully sooner than later! Our platinum status was recognized with a nice upgrade to the club level floor with continental breakfast and happy hour! We really appreciate the hospitality.

The entire staff are very helpful and friendly.
The location is convenient to great shopping and events, and has a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes.
Parking is free.
Wonderful to have a terrific, convenient hotel and is pet friendly (no odors).

As with most Sheratons, this hotel was clean, comfy beds and friendly staff. Had a major problem with ordering food with the restaurant in the hotel, quality was below par, we were charged a higher price then what was on the room menu, front desk said it was the restaurants fault, restaurant said it was the housekeeping staff's fault. Poor service here. Will never use safe deposit box here again. No one ever checked the name or room number when I accessed it and the box number is on the key. If I had lost the key anyone could have accessed it. Closed the box after the second time I went in it, bad handling for sure.

I have stayed here many times. Always very good, however, I would not remommend stay on the ends.. It was extremely loud in the mornings and evenings. I believe my room 202 is right next to some sort of giant closet.. lots of loud noises (like banging).

The staff at the restaurant over the breakfast hour were terrific.
Found that I received different information about the availability and frequency of the shuttle bus service when I called versus when I arrived. Found the service very helpful, but I had higher expectations of the frequency given what I was told over the phone.
The customer service with some front desk staff was below what I'd expect from a hotel that caters to a business clientele. Recommend providing consistent training on general information. Front desk is more than checking people in, it's about courtesy and providing information.

Although the room were comfortable and the bathrooms nice, we could hear everything through a bath vent so that an argument in another room at 4:30am sounded like it was in our own bathroom.

Stayed here one night as a part of a roadtrip.
Check-in: Friendly. We celebrated a special occasion, which front desk remembered.
Room: As SPG platinums, we got a nice suite upgrade. I would not say it is the largest or most modern suite I have seen, however, it is always great to get some extra space.
Some noise issues: We are not very happy with hotels where you can hear toilet flusing from next door/above or under. Especially when it comes from the wall next to the bed. Was woken up at 6am by the busy businessman next door who was getting ready for work...
In additon, I would probably recommend asking for a room not facing the highway directly, as the traffic noise was not completly blocked out.
Area: Centrally located for visiting most parts of Jacksonville, but being close to two rather large highways, it wasn't exactly secluded or quiet. Not the hotels fault, but we found downtown Jaxville very boring. Probably should have headed to the beach instead.
Lounge: A bit strangely layed out, as you actually come directly into the lounge when entering the top floor. The lounge was kind of dark, for no obvious reason. Plus they should consider some more tables, as eating breakfast in a sofa is not very convinient. Food selection okay.
Check out: Swift. No problems at all.
Something else? Well, we had some trouble getting the correct amount of stay points credited after the stay, but the GM took care it of himself. Impressive. If only all GMs would be that serviceminded
All in all a good Sheraton with great service. Would stay here again.

I checked into the hotel and was greeted nit even greeted, but rather told "I'll be with you in a minute" while he continued finishing the work he was doing.
He checked me in, and gave me my keys. Once I got to my room, I was disappointed. The room did not smell clean. The bed had wrinkled sheets and made up very sloppy. The pillows and bedding looked like they had been slept in
The mattress was indented in the middle. Looked very old.

In general the hotel was fine but the level of service was not up to what I am used to from a Starwood property. There were two issues in particular. The TV was not working properly and would not turn on reliably. There were numerous calls made to the front desk to send someone up to address the issue but no one ever came during our 4 day stay. The other issue was that the room was not cleaned at all on Sunday. The cleaning person came while my daughter was showering so we asked her to come back in about 15 minutes but no one ever came back.

I was not treated as a Starwood Perferred Guest. The first room did not meet the level of Quality that I have experienced at other Starwood properites, Carpet old and needed cleaning, walls dirty, Bathroom not acceptable. I requested to be moved to a different room and it was OK - but I am still very disappointed in my stay in comparison with other Sheraton properities.

Shon, Linda, and DeSean went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant. I visit Jacksonville three times a year and this is my new hotel. Thanks, Sheraton Jacksonville!

Staff was absent - literally. The ones that were there complained about the people that were not (yes to the customers). Multiple visits to the front desk were met with an empty desk and people coming out from the back office eating food after ~5 minutes. Certainly not what I would expect... Pool was cloudy

The pros of this hotel are: location and staff on the concierge floor.
Con: no manager on duty entire weekend,
no maps with locations for restaurants or events, bartender rude: questioned the drink I ordered..and slammed it down when I refused it, Room: Great Bed, furniture dirty and banged up. No drawers to unpack in..only Armoire filled with linens, toilets had mold. mirror was spotted after it was cleaned as was sink. Rooms not tidied up in evening. Not a good choice. This hotel does not live up to its reputation. The concierge floor is not secure..anyone can go there..no security check. We would NOt recommend this hotel.

The website needs to be updated. For a Club room it still states cocktails as included. We were informed during our stay that is no longer true. Also, the club room was closed Thanksgiving. We were not informed, I read it on a memo that was on the counter, covered by other SPG literature. What is the purpose of the club floor if the amenities are nonexistent. Biggest disappointment I have ever experienced, especially since I am an owner at one of your high-end resorts.

The location and restaurant within the hotel were excellent. The room's carpet was not vacuumed thoroughly and had lint and small pieces of tissue on it.
Although the hotel was only 50% booked, they placed us in a room with another booked room right next door. At 1:00am, we were awakened by a man next door yelling at his wife. We called the desk and reported it. Staff immediately stopped the noise. Although, it was difficult to get back to sleep.

Love to stay at this hotel! The location is perfect for shopping, visiting the beach side, and attending activities to the West. We enjoy all that Jacksonville offers and this hotel is a convenient location to everything. Wonderful to go across the street to St John's Town Center and walk around after a long drive. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The atmosphere at this hotel is perfect and the decor is very nice and relaxing.

We were very pleased with the Sheraton and our stay. It was close to the beach, downtown and shopping areas with easy access to all! The room was spacious and comfortable. Our trip was for pleasure and we certainly found it between the hotel, the beach and the city. We would recommend staying at this Sheraton as the staff was very friendly and it was well maintained and the location was perfect!

Plush comfy bedding awaits you here at the Sheraton. Down comforters as well as pillowtop mattresses and large pillows help ease the day away.
This was also our first time staying on the Club floor. Small, intimate but plentiful breakfast buffet in the morning on the Club floor was sufficient.
Easy scoot to St. John's Town Center for a day of shopping and dining.
