I stay here a few times a year. Club floor is very nice hotel is very comfortable and staff is very friendly.
They do need to get some bed table lamps with power outlets though as there is no available outlets near bed to plug in my cellhphone

We were overall very pleased with our stay here in Jacksonville. The room was very clean and the bed confortable. The staff was very accomodating as we were traveling with a service dog. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Thanks Sheraton Jacksonville, you guys once again showed me what a wonderful hotel this is. A special thanks to JT and Mary who took us out in the shuttle van, your expertise of the local area was so helpful.
I cannot wait to visit again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Edward787 Very nice with PETS !!!
The staff at this Sheraton Hotel in Jacksonville is very nice but I was specifically surprised how they treated by 2 dogs (and they are big dogs!). All the staff was very kind and my family (included the dogs) felt welcome at every time!

Expectations were fully met. I fully trust all SPG properties - Sheraton is always my first choice.
Food at the restaurant, and breakfast at the Club Lounge could have been better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nomad321 Nice new hotel
Nice hotel close to Southside business area and St. Johns Town Center shopping. The Club Lounge is just the 6th floor elevator foyer - very poor choice, small and not conducive to relaxation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kell DO NOT STAY HERE!!
The staff is very friendly but they cannot make up for the inadequate construction of this property.
There are room air conditioner/heating units that go on and off and are extremely loud. This is understandable in an older hotel but not in one this new.
In addtion, I felt as if the man next door (who talked on his cell phone most of the night) was in my room as opposed to the room next door.
I called the front desk and they said they would call the man and ask him to be a little quieter but there was no security or anything and it continued through the night.
You can hear every cough, toilet flush and shower noise.....
Seriously, find somewhere else to stay.

They take extra care to keep the rooms clean and not the Florida dampness that can creep into hotel rooms. The bar / grill has terrific food; no need to go out if you don't want. And I don't say that about many hotel restaurants; this one is creative, fairly priced and a fun atmosphere. They used to house a Shula's here and many of the restaurant staff remember those recipes! Craft beers also. Terrific location nearly right on top of St. John Towne Center for nearly everything you can think of for food and reasonable shopping too. Very close to Univ. North Florida. Easy to get to any part of Jax or St. Augustine from here.

The air conditioning is in the desk!!! And is way way way too loud! The temperature of the room is strange - if you lower the a/c then it stays on and freezes you out. But if you increase it it stays off and you sweat! Tv remote didnt work... had to unplug it from the wall. Not kid friendly - no tub and (1/2) Okay....your Mum asked me to move some stuff out of their bedroom as floors are going in tomorrow and Traci said that i cant leave her and the baby. Your find disney channel. Bar closes too early. Just overall cheap. However, employee who helped us at breakfast was lovely... There were gnats all over the fruit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lynnied2 Just One Issue
Generally speaking this is a very nice hotel. The rooms are good looking, comfortable and clean. There was a very large desk and chair with a lot of space for work. The bathroom was exceptionally nice. Big lobby with four computers for guests use. There was also a lounge and restaurant.
There was just one thing I noticed. The room had been painted at some point and instead of moving the furniture, the painters left large areas where the furniture came close to the wall unpainted and the colors were quite different. That looked very cheesy. Definitely would not stop me from staying there again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by smitty10 HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE _ HORRIBLE SMELL
Staff at check-in did not provide room that one would expect for Platinum. I wanted king, they gave me double beds. I did not want next to Lounge - they put me across from lounge. They seemed more interested in doing paperwork than opening 2nd line at check-in. I had to force the issue to get them to open 2nd line! Once I got to first room, I had to go back down to get my room changed. Second person who helped me knew what he was doing and was very helpful. Once I got back to the Club Lounge floor and my new room, the hallway spelled of vomit. HORRIBLE. Nothing was done my entire stay to eradicate that smell. AWFUL.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JDRE Well appointed room
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel for a conference. Rooms are very nice and quiet (for the most part). I was a little disappointed to learn they allow pets (found out when our neighbors dog was barking), however, we would stay here again.
Also, if you need a refrigerator &/or microwave, just ask. They were brought right up and it was very nice to have in our room at no extra charge!
NOTE: Breakfast is very expensive for what you get & staff is rather unattentive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by prettylady53 Business hotel with pros and cons
My first stay in the hotel was very uneven, however this recent stay was signifcantly better. the club level had better rooms, quieter a/c, and good food available for breakfast and in the afternoon. while the staff in the restaurant is extremely service oriented and kind, the food in the restaurant is bordering on inedible. fish is cooked like a hocky puck or undercooked. only things with any flavor are fried foods - i ate in the hotel restaurant because i work late, and as i say, the staff was great...but needed to be very selective on what i ate - an annoying feature of an otherwise positive hotel experience

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tim1609 Good spot
Lots to like about this hotel. Staff is smart and accomodating, close to shopping and restaurants, onsite bar/restaurant is above what you would expect, pretty grounds, and the club floor is a lobby style area right out of the elevators on the top floor. Rooms are as expected for a sheraton, might need a bit of an update in a year or so but overall a good place to stay.
Only thing is, don't expect to be downtown, you are 15-20 mins away. Otherwise a nice place if you are passing through or on business.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bearybear Comfortable and great staff, but some quirks
The staff at this location shows great commitment to service: Sean, at the front desk, provided quick and easy check-in after a long day, and Milo attended to an issue with my television remote control with lightning speed. I really liked the design of the room and bathroom, with one exception: it was near-impossible to find (convenient) electrical outlets! There were none near either nightstand, so I had to engineer a wall-to-laptop-to-phone relay to plug my phone in near the bed. And the outlets near the desk were difficult to locate as well. For business travelers, that was a little disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MarieB Last time at this Sheraton
Walls are paper thin at this hotel! Someone's TV kept us up 2 nights in a row. Also, housekeeping is so loud...especially if you are in a corner room near their "office". Beds are comfortable, but noise is so annoying.!!!! It is too bad, as the hotel's location is really convenient, walking distance to Town Center, short drive to beaches...

We had a reservation. We called & confirmed the reservation the AFTERNOON day of our arrival.
Upon check in we had NO room.
The girls at the desk was extremely nice trying to figure out where to put us. Finally my family had to be split in two rooms. Traveling with children and being split up NOT FUN.

This hotel had a fabulous hospitality suite expect no one knows its is there. The food was beyond what I could have expected. None of the staff ever told us it was there on the sixth floor. I had read something about the hospitality suite and kept asking where it was and finally someone came up with the sixth floor. It is not written anywhere on their hotel info in the rooms and no one mentions it at the front desk. Do check it out.
I had a very bad experience of a large 100 pound dog jumping up on me as I exited the elevator. The owner had no control over the animal. I did not realize that animals were allowed. I would prefer hotels where animals do not share the beds with patrons. This just grosses me out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JDRE Room is a little small
My husband and I were here for a seminar Dec 12-16, 2012. King room was nice, but a little small. Bed was VERY comfortable!! Thermostat kept the room at a great temperature. Bathroom was nice and we liked the large stand alone shower. Poor closet space....not enought! Came back to the room one day (after cleaning was done) to find towels fogotten on the carpet floor and bath trash not emptied....but not that big of deal. All other days they were great. Ice maker on our floor NEVER worked! Had to go up or down 1 floor.
Restaurant staff is TERRIFIC! We missed the made to order omlets & waffles of the Hilton Hotels, but food was good...just VERY pricey. Overall we would stay here again.
Nice conference facilities.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Technologist Disappointed in Sheraton
I have stayed at Sheraton hotels since I was a child. This latest stay was a disappointment. My stay was 11 nights. My colleagues stay was 18 nights. There should have automatically been a refrigerator and microwave in our rooms. The breakfast menu included many "instant" food choices (potato pattie instead of actual potatoes.) The hall outside our rooms had the same crumbs for days. Hotel decor very dark and masculine. Women do travel for business!!!
I did appreciate the complimentary WIFI and the staff was very receptive. But, don't think I will stay there again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NicoleSmith180 Unreliable Shuttle
My room was amazing, but when I needed to leave it, it was impossible. The shuttle was always 45 minutes late in picking up from a location and 15 minutes late to leave the hotel. No reason was ever given and the driver was on his cell phone the entire time. It got to the point where we called a cab to go 5 minutes away...

Rated 3 out of 5 by Familytraveller30338 Paper thin walls
If you have trouble sleeping due to noise I would NOT recommend this hotel. We stayed on the concierge floor and the first issue was a loud TV at the end of the hall in the concierge lounge which is located right outside the elevators and is not in a separate room like most hotels. Later the same night I could hear my neighbors TV well past midnight. I don't think they had the volume up too loud, but something in the way the acoustics were working made me feel like I was in the same room. Too bad because this was a fairly nice hotel. I would NOT stay here again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ringo Great Sheraton
This hotel does a great job. Facility is nicely decorated (country clubish decor) and rooms are nice. Beds are wonderful. One of the staff members asked how was my stay and inquired whether there is anything the hotel can do to make it better. Great customer service here. The Club Lounge did an "over and beyond" typical food and beverage selection for hor devour hour. Very impressive club lounge. One small thing is that i could hear the neighbors in the next room who were not being loud at all, dont know if the sound was coming through the wall or what but was a little surprised not more sound proof, not sure if just my room, this floor or whether same in all rooms. Such a great hotel for a Sheraton, though, i still give it 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DLK1947 This hotel has few negatives.
A good location notwithstanding the traffic congestion 3 times per day. Comfortable room and bed with large work surface for business travelers. Wall a bit too thin as one can hear voices and activity in the room next door-through the walls. Noise under the front door of the room is too conspicuous. Personnel through the hotel are top notch and if you are an SPG Platinum the recognition and treatment is first class. Breakfast buffet off lobby can use some reorganization and better oversight. Although the pool is small and indoors it provides a jet stream of water that allows one to swim in place. General housekeeping not too good as on entering the hotel lobby and my floor (5th) there was plenty of debris that required someone to vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by UNFmom Will definitely stay here again
This hotel was an excellent value. The bedding was excellent- fluffy comforter, pillows of different types (not everyone wants the same kind of pillow) and nicely furnished. Onsite bar/restaurant/room service is very convenient. Location was absolutely perfect for UNF visitors. All staff encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Small nits: complimentary coffee or tea in the AM would have gotten you an "A". Our room service menu was outdated, the lamps over the beds were unplugged, and the phone was unplugged. Easy fixes though and would definitely recommend this hotel for UNF families. Also, our room was right next to the elevator. So we heard a lot of noise outside our door. Luckily, we are able to sleep through noise better than some.
