Rated 4 out of 5 by Vmunoz Hotel has decreased in quality
Hotel has been excellent in the past. I ate at the restaurant twice. The server was not professional or prepared. The food was very poor quality on both occasions. The restaurant seemed very disorganized. The mattress in the room was very lumpy and the coils could be felt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LRanda31 Good Location & Comfortable Rooms
The location is great if you are on the southside of town and looking for something with a decent fitness area. Rooms are clean and big enough so you dont feel tight.
Front desk staff could be a bit more helpful as I had issues with reservations who continued to refer me to the manager to rectify.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ringo Nice Hotel But Doesn't Honor Plat Status
Nice new hotel and really nice Club lounge, one of nicest for Sheraton in the chain in Southeast. Platinum and Gold SPG should avoid this hotel, however, if looking for SPG loyalty. Just requested 4:00 pm late checkout and front desk refused stating must be requested at time of check in ( which is not mentioned in SPG rules) . I then asked whether the hotel is full or will be full due to the late check out perk being subject to availability and the desk clerk said "yes". I hung up, checked online to see if rooms available and disappointingly there are standard, accessible and club rooms available for the night. If the hotel cannot honor SPG privileges it needs to remove itself from SPG's website. Our plane doesn't leave until 5:00; thus the late check out was needed.

Staff was great. Shuttle available within 5 mile radius of hotel. Stayed on the Club Level. Room was clean, however, walls were in desperate need of painting, carpets stained, bed was old, furniture was scratched, old and tired. The Club area lounge was small and the elevator access is in the lounge making it difficult to even get to the elevator when the lounge is busy. Guests from other floors were enjoying the free breakfast and snacks that were supposed to be for the club floor only. Would not stay here again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fab14 Nice Hotel
Hotel was clean and I was on the top floor so that was super nice. Problem was that the room was a little small for all the furniture that was in it. Housekeeping did not clean the room... And the walls are too thin. You can hear the ppl in the hallway.
After reading all this one might say "wow that's a lot of negative things!" Mind you that was my experience. And it still was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Good job Sheraton. That was one of my best hotel experiences. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sofie6 not up to Sheraton expectations
The reception clerk was surly and arrogant. When I asked why our room wasn't serviced he said that the staff only makes 1 pass by and if the do not disturb sign is out they do not come by again. The club lounge was the lobby off the elevator on the 6th floor. Continental breakfast was wheeled in. Water or soda were not available during the day on that floor. The rooms had no glasses, not a dresser for clothes storage (2 shelves at the bottom of an armoire). The entire experience was totally unsatisfactory!

Rated 5 out of 5 by doglover Jacksonville Univ. campus visit
Was visiting our son attending Jacksonville University. Hotel was about 15 minutes from campus and had very nice shopping and restaurants in the area. We ate at the restaurant inside the hotel th first night and the food and service was wonderful. Staff was courteous and offered tips on where to visit while in town and were readily available to answer any questions we had as well as print out directions. Everyone working there was smiling so it seemed like they enjoyed it there. would highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CleanlinessMustImprove Friendly Staff/Terrible Cleanliness
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the restroom and couch. There was hair all over the restroom floor and walls. Both scalp hair and other type everywhere. The shower itself had build up and there was some kind of foam around the shower head that was likely from a sloppy repair. There were also stains on the sofa cushions (both sides) which I was disgusted to even specualte as to what may have caused it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jen2215 Seems to be going downhill
I stay at this hotel all the time and this was the second time I got up to my room to find out it was not ready and had to lug all of my stuff back downstairs to get another room assigned. The floors in the halls didn't look like they had been vacuumed in a while and the bed had a indentation in the mattress where people must typically lay. I will continue staying at this hotel but mostly out of convenience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shanaeb2000 Unsatisfied
I checked in the hotel on Saturday night this was supposed to be the final night of our honeymooon. Lindsey was ok but when we go to the room there was an odor. I requested to change rooms but apparently there was not one available. At about 1am we were startled by loud slamming sounds and people running and speaking loud outside our room. There was nothing done by staff to resolve this issue so I basically wasted my preferred guest points for a room that I did not use to sleep.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FLSL make sure you get the right room
Overall, this hotel is very nice for the price. The bartender is wonderful. The staff and delightful when things are going well. The shuttle to the Town Center is very convenient and a nice touch. Beds are comfortable. But I got talked into an upgrade to the club floor, and regret it. They put my in a room that backed onto the lounge. At 6:30 they start setting up breakfast and it sounds like they are setting up IN your room. And it goes on for 20+ minutes, to there's not tuning it out and going back to sleep. I asked to talk to the manager when i checked out. Someone came out that basically only said "sorry" and then said "I'll tell my boss", so clearly it was NOT the manager. So, great hotel if you don't have issues. Ask for a room at the end of the hall. Oh, and watch your step. The tub is super slippery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrea15 Good hotel but needs better communication
The Sheraton was very clean and the staff at the front desk were quite friendly. My main disappointment was with the communication regarding breakfast on the club level. There are signs stating that breakfast is served at 7:00 am and when I went there at 7:05 there was nothing there. I called the front desk and they said they didn't know what happened and didn't offer to resolve the issue. Finally, one of the managers came up to fix the coffee machine but nothing else.

I stayed for one night for business. The hotel bar was very nice and reasonably priced. My room was nice however they need to add bed table lamps to plug in phone chargers every hotel needs to have enough power outlets. Only major issue I had was the walls are very thin at the hotel. I could hear both rooms on either side of me and they were not being overly loud. I am a heavy sleeper so I didn't bother me but if your a very light sleeper this hotel may not be for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by wigstheome Decent, Newer Sheraton
A solidly dependable more recent vintage Sheraton. Plenty of free parking in front and to the sides of the hotel. Fast and efficient checkin, with Starwood recognition. However, the hotel floor plate has few suites, so the availability of upgrades is limited. Rooms are reasonably sized, albeit not huge, but are clean and comfortable. The in-room HVAC system is louder than ideal, but capable of chilling the room. Reasonable gym facilities and serviceable restaurant.

Rated 1 out of 5 One Big Mess!
During my stay I had so much confusion with my room charges it was crazy! I have my two niece's with me, one is 13 and the other 14 and they charged me $10.00 additional on my card for them with out any notification. Now I'm on vacation trying to get all this mess straight. On top of that the beds looked like the staff made them then rolled around on the sheets. I did not get my free breakfast as promised... I will never stay with Sheraton again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by gg48 Staff does not know the meaning of costumer service service
We travel often for my sons and daughters travel teams. We recently stayed at the Sheraton in Jacksonville. My daughter, and mom and I felt we were putting the staff "out" from the moment we walked through the door. We had dinner at the hotel after driving over 6 hours in the rain. The food and service was terrible. We asked for bread with our meal and the waitress looked bothered. I had wine. Ask for Merlot and I am pretty sure it was cab.. Never offered another glass or water. The room was dusty, especially near the beds. No tissues in the room. Elevator was not in use. Drunk guy in lobby yelling. Garbage overflowing from trash cans outside hotel. Our stay was a mix between the twilight zone and Jerry Springer. I have never wrote a complaint before but felt the need in this case. Beds were comfy though. service was terrible.

The Sheraton Jacksonville met all our expectations. The room was comfortable and the beds were excellent. We had the handicapped room 328 and it was perfect, especially the roll in shower. The staff was friendly and responsible. We had use of the club lounge and the staff and food was extremely good. We would recommend this hotel. It was convenient to the Mayo Clinic which we had to attend for three days.

The staff at this hotel was exceptional! Kudo's to Cathy in Housekeeping, Denise on the Club Level Floor on Saturday, and Megan at the Front Desk. They were excellent in their exhibition of superb customer service and all three went above and beyond in their servicing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by CJM2013 Hope you are not hungry
First night room service was delivered promptly. The wedge salad was good but the nachos were mediocre.
However in the morning, I could not order room service as no one ever answered the phone. I called the front desk repeatedly and advised them that no one was picking up at the grill, but they just kept transferring me. After 20 minutes of ringing with no answer and repeated attempts we checked out and went to Starbucks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Coolfamily13 This hotel dates were wrong and too pet friendly
The hotel dates were wrong and were adjusted to my family needs. Thanks. Still a bit confused about the pet friendly rules. Lots of barking thru out the night. As I was checking out on Sunday noticed a lady with a medium size dog on the hotel sofa in the lobby. Also at breakfast on Sunday morning on the 6th floor my family and I notice a very large dog leaving a room to get on the elevator. Are these Pet Friendly Rooms only?

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nothappy42012 Not what I ordered
Made a reservation for a club floor. Did not get because hotel is full and they say I did not book that room. Asked for a room with a bathtub. Only double bed rooms have them. I asked to be switched. None available. I asked for a bellman and got hesitation from front desk. I told them never mind. First room was not acceptable so they had another room even though there were none because they were sold out. Not staying here again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by patriot Needs attention to detail.
1. Gave me a room next to a family with several small children and loud noise...parents yelling at kids, kids fighting. I am a regular customer on business. You need to respect need for business travelers to have quiet section of the hotel.
2. Don't think the floor was ever vacuumed during my 4-night stay. Same debris along the wall there the entire time.
3. Didn't replace soap. Don't like the 'gel and sponge.' Prefer bar soap.

This hotel did not have the credit card authorization sent from my company on file. A long process ensued to correct this. Once corrected I verbally instructed them and it was stipulated on the cc authorization not charge incidentals to the auth and I gave them a different credit card for this. The next day my room service was on the folio under the atuh card and not incidental card.
Also, room service omelette was greasy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sheratonjacksonvilleguest excellent experience - will definitely return for future business trips
Staff was incredibly accommodating! There was some confusion during the booking process and upon arrival at this property, only one of the rooms I had originally requested was available, but when I informed the staff of the mix-up they were immediately helpful, taking care of all of the necessary details in sorting out my room reservations while I waited. Within 15 minutes, I had 2 club level rooms, next door to each other, at the correct rate. The rooms were clean & comfortable, and the customer service was excellent every step of the way. Overall, the property and the customer service exceeded my expectations. Because of that, I plan to stay at the property again when I return to Jacksonville next month.
*** Particularly helpful were Lucas (hotel reservations) and Shon (hotel manager) who both went out of their way to assist me in with the reservations mixup.
Sheraton Jacksonville has their act together!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jaxcline5 Too Many Dogs
I counted at least three different dog type barks going on throughout the night on the CLUB LEVEL, which is meant for preferred guests. The dog in the adjaent room was a yapper and apparently the walls are very thin. I heard the TV next door on the entire night as they tried to keep their dog calm. If this is how Preferred Guests are treated, I do not want to be a normal guest. The pool is too small and there was no spa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mrandmrs great location
My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at this Sheraton hotel. It was the perfect location because all we wanted to do was shop, relax and eat. The hotel is close to the St. Johns shopping area, which has all the stores and eating places. We were able to relax in our club level room. The hotel staff were friendly. The rooms are spacious and the complimentary food was a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 1unhappytraveler Avoid so called "club" floor
Don't bother paying extra for the club/ lounge floor for you will neither find it relaxing or enjoyable. What we found was a stuffy, cramped area with families filling up on food as if it were their last meal. It seemed that anyone from a different floor was privy to the club floor and invited for dinner. On arriving by six in the evening there was not one morsel of an hors d'oeuvre to be had.

I was disappointed overall. I chose one of the club floor rooms b/c I thought there would be something special about it. My room seemed smaller than the room I had previously. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work and the alarm clock issued a higher pitch tone when in alarm set mode. I did let the front desk know of the alarm clock. The keyboard of one of the computers in the main lobby would not type out an "S" and one of the other computers when moving the mouse to bring it to life the screen went black. So when a younger person was on scrolling his facebook account and another younger person was searching his facebook acct I could not access important documents I needed to print out for a work meeting the following day despite it being 10 PM. The printer on the club floor was out of commission as well. I was just really disappointed despite liking the hotel in the past.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LB501 Hair everywhere, and it wasn't mine
The hotel was fairly nice, however, my experience was completely clouded due to the amount of hair throughout my room. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom. There was hair all over several towels as well. So that simple fact ruined my stay, and there was nothing the staff could've done to mske my stay better. And let me add that this was my 2nd stay and the first wasnt really much better.
