Rated 1 out of 5 by Rockvillesnotthespot Terrible Sheraton
I've been platinum and stayed over 250 nights in the last four years and this is the worst Sheraton I've ever stayed in by a long shot. The staff here (all the way from Mgmt to housekeeping) were incredibly unprofessional and even a bit rude. I was told I could extend my check out for work purposes until 4pm and made plans accordingly. However, at 12:15 I was told I needed to be out by 1pm. This is unacceptable in my book as we had an agreement. When I arrived, the housekeeping staff was in my room even though I had not packed anything yet. Furthermore, I would not recommend eating the food here. Overall, terrible experience, which doesn't happen often at most SPG hotels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brandon44 Best Hotel experience of the past 2 years!
Jennifer was amazing! Explained everything thoroughly and was extremely hospitable. The smile never left her face and she made me feel like I was the only guest in the entire hotel. Even the smell in the elevator was pleasant. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and built for comfort. The bathroom was roomy, with a big shower, extra towels and even had nice French doors with windows that were frosted for privacy. The weight room was great and had everything essential for a nice workout. The jacuzzi tub was nice as well. Room service was affordable and tasty. Parking is free and not congested. Free wifi worked perfectly. The hotel is 5-10 minutes from just about everything you want and need from restaurants, to bowling, to shopping, and countless other things. Business trip was made pleasant by this hotel stay. I highly recommend this hotel and thank everybody for making my stay great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Greg27 Stay somewhere else
This is the worst Sheraton I've staid at. The staff was unaccommodating, disorganized and unprofessional. The rooms are average at best. If you are in the Rockville area I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Nice staff, especially one of the guys in the restaurant area who remember me from a year ago - amazing!
Unimpressed with the physical hotel. The rooms are good sized and modern but the bed is not that comfortable, the heater / air conditioner is ridiculously loud and woke me up every time it turned on and the TV was slow and many channels didn't work.
The workout facilities have potential but aren't maintained. The TV's on most machines didn't work. I believe there are 8 machines (2 bikes, 3 elliptical, 3 treadmills) only 2 TV's were working.
Has potential but isn't living up to it. I only recommend it b/c it's the only starwood property in the immediate area.

We stay at this hotel frequently, and while I am generally pleased with it, I must comment on the poor condition of the parking lot. It had not been sufficiently snowplowed. The parking spaces had not been done….only the driving area. Many parking spaces were covered in snow. The stairs leading to the upper parking area were shoveled, but not at the bottom, where there was a mound of ice and snow to walk over. We were there for 3 days, and the situation never improved. This kind of a plow job is unacceptable. Also, on our last day, we had half a roll of toilet paper, no extra roll anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charlie1020 Great experience !
My family and I stayed at this hotel 6 days in July 2013 while visiting Washington D.C. from Arizona. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping our room clean and well organized at all times .The hotel it's also located in a very safe and quiet area close to Shady Grove Metro station. There is also a very convenient metro bus service running to/and from BWI airport to Shady Grove metro station. Kudos to the front desk staff. They were at a 5 star level. we specially would like to thank: Evelyn, Vanessa and Jenny. These 3 girls went above and beyond our expectations. Keep up the great work ! overall a very pleasant experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by colls This hotel needs improvement
I am a loyal Sheraton member but was disappointed with this particular facility. I received no housekeeping on my first full day despite having called the front desk to get services. The Club lounge was sparsly staffed and was not set up on time in the evenings. Once the set up started, which was late, it took too much time to get the food and beverages available for customers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by HKbasedexecutive This hotel is the worst Sheraton I have ever stayed at
As a business hotel, it is unacceptable that this hotel has little to no Internet connectivity. The hotel gives 'free Internet' to everyone via WiFi, but by giving this to all, it ends up at peak hours, turning it into Internet service for none. Its completely unacceptable there is no 'paid' Internet option, other than using a 3rd party service such as Boingo Wireless. I have spoken to other colleagues and they have all experienced the same problem at the Sheraton and have stopped staying there.
