Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad Knew about construction but not about restaurants Only 2 SLOW elevators and access was from the street with no security Terrible bathrooms ----mildew, not nonslip mats low quality towels, amenities not replaced, no vent. Overall felt like a motel. September 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by No next time Aware of construction but not aware of no restaurant. Dirty hallway, terrible bathroom--no vent, mildew on sink and bathtub, not nonslip tub mat, amenities not replenished, no bottled water. Two of four elevators not available. Charge for wifi. Low quality towels. Construction noise. No apparent security when entering at night. Unfriendly staff. Good things---comfortable bed and nice man at guest services. September 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by The construction issue costs guests their time. I don't know where to begin to express the level of frustrations staying at this hotel while it is under construction. The waits for the elevators are lengthy. Lots of wasted time. The fitness hours are posted at 6pm, yet when we arrived at 6, we were told it was 6:30.. Went to get on internet to kill that wasted half hour getting up early, and was told 3X by hotel staff the wrong log in code. We were also told at check in by the bell that took us to our room, that as a Gold member we have access to the 26th concierge floor. Glad to hear this news, we went up to the floor (after another lengthy wait for the elevator) and our key did not work. We called down to the front desk who said that we should not have been told that we could get in the Concierge room...more time wasted....back to waiting on the elevator to go back to our room. The next night we were given a key to the concierge floor. We went up at 5:30 (as posted) for a snack and there was no one in the room. The food and attendant arrived at 6:10 talking about problems with the elevators. More wasted time. We were on a business trip where every minute is valuable to us, we had hours of wasted time and frustrations. I am canceling all future stays at this hotel until they get this mess cleaned up. I would advise others to avoid this frustrating situation. Its simply not a pleasant stay. September 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by construction disruptive The hotel was too warm, fans used to cool down room was super noisy making sleep difficult, elevators were slow and not functioning properly. The staff was fine but the food offered was mediocre at best. This was my first time staying at a Starwood hotel since joining SPG and the experience was not good. September 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by LA 9/16 Hotel was under constructions and I was not inform at time of reservation, also the A/C did not work, it was very hot in the room and needed a fan to be able to sleep September 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stay on March 9. I arrived at the hotel at 3 pm and waited for 30 minutes in line to approach the check in. I was told my room wasn't ready and w would be another hour. I asked the staff to call me in an hour to provide a status. However, an hour and half approached and I still didn't receive a call and was told my room was still not ready. Hotel policy is to the rooms ready by 3pm but as of 5:45 my room still wasn't ready. This made me late for my event because I couldn't get ready for it until i freshened up. I asked if the room could be discounted but they couldn't accommodate my request. I am very unhappy about their service and wouldn't recommend this hotel. March 11, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by 3 words to describe this hotel: What a dump! I am a travel industry professional and am responsible for managing corporate travel programs for Fortune 500 Companies. As a result, I am frequently on the road. Many years ago I stopped staying at Sheraton Hotels, as I saw a decline in the quality. I was booked into the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown by a colleague, mainly due to the location and the discounted industry rate. I was quicky reminded why I vowed not to stay at Sheraton hotels. The Front Desk area was loud and I could barely hear the woman who checked me in, due to excessive noise. I was put in a room on the 3rd floor and attached to a meeting room. The bathroom was dingy, paint peeling by the ceiling, with no washcloths. There was a broken thermostat on the wall and the room was too hot. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the only worthwhile aspect of the room. The wi-fi was additional fee and slow. I could hear people in the hallway, as if they were inside my room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and had I encouraged a client to use the hotel, I would be fired. October 3, 2012
