I had an off experience visiting here from the states. I paid with points b/c the value was amazing. Upon arrival, they were going to give me a double room. I said okay, but non-smoking. I ended up in a room that smelled like smoke.
I got a bit upset, went downstairs, and we ended up waiting another 20 minutes to get another room. We went back and forth for a while, and they said that all other rooms were sold out, so we were stuck with that room. We refused. After some time, they ended up giving us a suite (I'm Platinum).
It was quite a hassle, and I expressed my frustration. We ended up with an amicable discussion where they comped back a decent amount of points, and I left satisfied.
As for the actual hotel, it is very nice inside. The normal rooms are okay, but the suite is very large and impressive. I had an amazing time staying in one of them.
Their Chinese restaurant also is top notch. The price was reasonable (always expensive for a hotel), but the food was very delicious. We came hungry and tired, but left with a full stomach.
Thanks for handling the situation eventually - would recommend the hotel to take quicker action next time.

Ms. Zhang (Jennifer) was extremely helpful in helping me book a room to surprise my wife for a vacation to Changsha.
The room was quite comfortable. The size was good, the bed and pillows were soft. Shower had good pressure.
My wife and I also had access to the lounge on the 31st floor. It was comfortable with drinks and snacks. A breakfast where they would make you additional eggs or noodles. Also there was a 2-hour happy hour with wines and spirits with food.
Our stay was very pleasant, and would gladly stay again.

Club lounge staffs were not trained, never top up empty tray nor have ice cubes. Staffs were not attentive at all at Club Lounge.

The Sheraton Changsha has a very courteous and pleasant staff... everyone from check-in to the club lounge. They are gracious and hospitable. The rooms are very comfortable and the entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel like you are home.

Good location in the center of town. Easy to hail taxis. Excellent service and attitude from hotel staff all around. Spacious gym with equipment in good working condition. Hotel rooms are not necessarily super-luxurious, but are comfortable and appropriately appointed for a Sheraton.
