As an SPG Gold member, I am used to a welcome gift, priority check-in and an upgrade to the SPG floor. This time, they offered us an upgrade to the Club floor for only $20. Breakfast alone would have cost the two of us more. Access to the Club Lounge was a great addition to a comfortable room with a great view. We took advantage of the Club Lounge to check-in for our flights, grab a snack in the late afternoon and a wonderful breakfast the next morning.
We also appreciated the Breathright strips as a new amenity in the room and the 50% off certificate for a future stay. Wow! We felt the Sheraton Myrtle Beach really went over the top showing their appreciation for our loyalty!

my stay was only 2 days long, but everything was excellent. the staff was very nice and accommodating (especially the sisters in the club lounge). the room was clean, the bed comfortable, fitness center was clean. I was very satisfied.

I ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE SHERATON IN MYRTLE BEACH, THE ROOMS WERE VERY NICE AND CLEAN. I LOVED THE CONVENIENCE OF OUR MEETINGS BEING HELD THERE. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO TRY THE SHERATON.

I needed adjoining rooms since travelling with 2 yng kids. Did reservations by phone to ensure booked that way. Called again a few days before trip to confirm adjoining rooms. When arrived told that no adjoining rooms possible and would be on 2 different floors. Wife and I therefore had to split up and go to bed at kids bed-time. Totally ruined trip regardless of any other features. Would seriously warn any family planning similar trip to avoid this place.

Travel to myrtle beach every year for the last 5 years for dance competition. This year being 8 month pregnant decided to stay at the convention center for convenience since I have 3 dancers. Never again. Elevators not working, waiting for 15-20 minutes to get on one. Pool was nasty. Carpet in room was all stain and it smelled. Rooms are very small, beds very lumpy. No free breakfast, and the paid breakfast was nasty. The noise in the hallways was awful. Had to pay for parking although we were staying there, that is just poor standard, and the parking and elevators were dingy. Not worth my patronage.

Our room had a little of a smoke smell in the foyer area of the door.
Carpet had a few stains
Area for parking for over sized vehicles had small sports cars, even though signs posted stated "over sized vehicles only! Towing will be enforced." After a two days stay sports vehicles where still parked.
This is across the board.....never enough sugar packets in room
Great stay over all!

I booked and paid for a Kind Deluxe room and was given a standard double room. I complained and was flatly told that Sheriton does not guarantee the bed type and that all of the king deluxe rooms had been sold. I paid for my room over two months ago. I feel that Sheriton hotels has stolen from me. I was given a lesser room than what I paid for. On top of that the desk staff was rude and would not allow me to have a late check out even though my meetings (in the hotel) did not end until 12. This forced me to check out at 8 am and wear a suit to travel home. Also, the valet parking attended could not drive a stick so we had to wait 15 minutes each time we wanted to get our car. UNACCEPTABLE!

I was there for the 42nd Annual SC Bluegrass Convention. I always like to stay at the Sheraton because it is super convenient to the convention. Its a very nice place to stay with a friendly staff, clean rooms, and great amenities. My "beef" with the place is that after the days performances my friends and I like to go down to the hotel bar, have a drink and enjoy the jam sessions of the bluegrass artists/hotel guests there for the weekend. The last couple years the same bar tender is there and is always rude and this past year he got into an argument with a lady in a wheelchair and her husband. Plus I asked for one top shelf long island iced tea and he told me that it would cost me $30...needless to say I didn't drink a $30 drink. The drink I did get wasn't all that great. IN CONCLUSION .... I would give this place a 100% rating if it wasn't for that bar tender that has been there for the past several years.

Our room was quite comfortable, though the bed was so soft it was almost TOO soft. We were just a five minute walk to the beach/downtown, a five minute drive to Broadway at the Beach, ten minute drive to great malls, and centrally located to any number of golf courses. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

It was my 1st time in SC, we are coming from Maryland so we arrived super early and the agent (Hana Sullivan) checked us in early because we told her that we haven't slept since we drove 8 hours long. Hotel staff were nice especially the concierge personells were very helpful and informative. The only problem I had was when we asked for housekeeping service, we wanted our sheets and comforter changed but they didn't changed it. We didn't call down since we got back in the hotel tired and a little late.

I have stayed in the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel a number of times for conferences, and the facility is consistently comfortable. Also consistent, however, is the long, slow process for getting breakfast food. The restaurant is not large or fast enough to accommodate conferees who have limited time in the morning, and the Coffee shop is not adequate for the volume of customers who would like to pick up a quick breakfast: the line is always long and tedious, marring an otherwise pleasant experience. Additionally, during my most recent stay, there was an issue of noise past 11 pm all around my room on two consequtive nights, so it seems that courtesy expectations were not enforced.

Was told once and then had message left on room phone ,I had free gift for being SPG member. When got there all it was turned out to be sales pitch for the Plantation timeshare ! Shameless way to use my being member of SPG. That person would help with questions only after sales pitch every time needed something.

Check in was sweetly quick and easy, room was large and with a beautiful view. The staff was very pleasant. The food in the restaurant was wonderful, the server was awesome. Hotel is close to many entertainment venues. Thank you for a great comfortable stay.

Everything was very fine at the hotel. I would have preferred a slightly firmer mattress, but it was fine. Service at the front desk and concierge was excellent. Service at the second floor bar was very poor. The bartenders were very inattentive and slow to respond.

I enjoyed my stay, exactly as I was expecting from my favorite Hotel chain Sheraton.
The only thing I did not like too much is the indoor pool, comparing to the size and the features provided by this hotel the pool is small. Every thing else is good.

Now I know why this is just a cat 2 and not a cat 3 hotel. The service was unsatisfactory. Not only did they not recognize my SPG Gold member status and offer to put me on the SPG floor. I was put on the 3rd floor above the horribly loud giant air conditioner units. When I asked if there was any possibility to move me they wouldn't even check. She was rude and said there was nothing they could do. I asked if this was the way they treated all their Gold SPG members and she said that she could not do a thing to help resolve the situation. I'm generally pleased with Sheraton and that's why I am a vacation owner. But this trip and this hotel was the worst Sheraton experience I've had to date. Not happy. 8/17/2012

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely book future visits. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The proximity to beaches and local attractions was fantastic. Overall a great experience.

Overall, the hotel was very nice. It was quite busy. I noticed the hotel manager literally arguing with several guests/groups on two separate occasions. Seemed kind of unprofessional or something that could be handled in an office rather than the lobby. But the rooms were nice, the view was great, good location. We upgraded to the club level, the evening reception and breakfast foods were the worst offerings I have ever experienced in a club lounge and I usually experience one at least monthly. Word to the wise, if you have to pay for an upgrade-- skip it. Not worth it.

We were extremely disappointed to find out that the hot tub had been removed. After playing golf we always enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Also, to charge for parking every night even when we don't park there is outrageous. We have stayed there 4 visits and I think that was our last.

This is undoubtedly the most unpleasant and chaotic stay I have had in a SPG property.
This is the list of what went wrong during my stay:
No light in bathroom.
Garbage full of trash from previous guests.
Broken lamp/switch missing on bed lamp
No paper to write on nightstand.
Miniature Club Lounge for such a huge hotel was so packed that I just was able to grabbed a coffee.
Additionally, I had to call guest services at 3am because my neighbors were screaming and slamming doors (waking me up).
I emailed the hotel who never cared to replied. Bad service all the way

This hotel went above and beyond my expectations! I was welcomed with huge smiles and greetings from the Front desk staff who seemed very pleased to be checking me in! I was upgraded to an Oceanview room since the hotel wasn't full, and both the room and view were magnificent! The sheraton beds are AMAZINGLY soft and comfortable, I was not ready to get out of it the next morning! We were only here for 1 night, just a pit stop on our way to Charleston but I could have stayed in this hotel all week! The staff was super friendly and courteous during every encounter!

Staff was great. Beds were HORRIBLE. I thought I would disappear in the mattress. Never slept on anything that bad. Mattress must have been 20+ years old.

Only three negative comments for this hotel;
1. the wi-fi was very weak in our room, and we had to continuously re-log in the laptop each time we wanted to get online(no prompt to save password), and the iPhones could not log in at all.
2. There is no direct access from the parking garage into the hotel...you must walk on the access driveway between the garage and the lobby entrance. Even though it is a covered area, we felt this should be addressed to make access safer and more dignified!
3. The tv did not work on the elliptical machine in the exercise room.

This Sheraton is not worth staying at unless absolutely necessary. It is serviceable for a business or convention stay, but even then it really can't keep up with basic requirements. The week I was there 2 of the 4 elevators were out 2 days. Because it was the weekend, they couldn't get the proper repair until Monday. They finally fixed one elevator, but the other one was out for a 3rd day. With a full hotel it was ridiculous -- you had to wait 15 minutes for an elevator, lines in the lobby for the elevator were 20 deep, so files of people were taking the fire escape staircase for a couple of days. Being on the 5th floor, we got quite the workout.
In our room, one drawer was broken and the sink was plugged up.
Last but not least, the restaurant was bad. Not good food. The breakfast and lunch buffets were pathetic.
Only reason to stay here is if you are involved in something at the convention center which it is attached to.

This hotel is co-located with the Myrtyle Beach Convention Center, so it is a very convenient for those attending Convention Center events. The "Broadway at the Beach" amusement park/shopping center is only a few blocks away. The hotel is about three blocks from the beach so the higher level rooms on the ocean side of the building have wonderful views of the coast. But be aware, this is not an ocean front location. All the staff were very pleasant. The hotel bar and restaurant were adequate but not remarkable. The room furnishings were acceptable but somewhat dated. The king sized bed was clean but too soft for comfort. Parking and TV movies were somewhat expensive. The indoor pool was small and not particularly inviting. There was no jacuzzi.
