We stayed at the Sheraton because of the Myrtle Beach Marathon and when runners asked for a few hours extra checkout time as to shower after the marathon and then checking out we were told it would be an extra $45. Noon checkout compared to 2:00 checkout for $45, very poor customer service, then the Sheraton said they needed the rooms for another group only to find out there was no sell out. Lied to by management, our running club members will find another place next year....Bad..

We stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year. We enjoy that it is NOT on the beach but has a good view of the downtown area (including the new SkyWheel). The hotel almost always upgrades us (without being asked) to the club floor. The breakfast in the club lounge and evening snacks are OK. Could be better and could be worse. The attendant wasn't always in the club but came when called. On our last trip a problem with the sink drain was fixed quickly and well. Staff is friendly and helpful. We'll go back probably next fall. We DON'T go to MB in the summer. Too hot and too many people.

We loved this hotel. We usually stay in condos but this was a great hotel. It was clean and had everything you could need. Some of the special employees were Leslie, Jenny and Milena. Everyone was friendly and willing to help with any thing needed.

I found my stay pleasant except for very poor lighting in the room, although bathroom well lighted. Temperature in room not ideal and thermostat confusing. Otherwise, hotel is loaded with great amenities and easily accessible to convention center.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jechho Nice hotel if you do not need or want beach location
Modern hotel with nice rooms, but probably not somewhere you take you kids for a beach vacation. The hike to the beach was pretty long (especially when its hot!) and there are a lot of hotels smack on the beach in this area. If you are looking for a reasonable deal and comfortable rooms, however, this may be a good choice.
Good Starwood prefered guest recognition, but as always (and irritating) you have to ASK for an upgrade you should be given automatically.
One large minus was the "so called" club lounge. I say "so called" because the lounge was a major let down. At night they only put out some dip - but no chips. Were we supposed to dip our fingers into the bowl? A tad better at breakfast, but the very cold lounge lady seemed like she wanted us out there as soon as possible.
All in all, 3,5 stars.

I reserved my room almost a month in advance and king size beds were available, BUT yet when we checked in we got two doubles? So my husband and I were to sleep in separate beds??? We slept horribly! They don't explain all their hidden taxes and they charge for parking at THEIR own hotel? I thought staying here for the Marine Corps Ball will be best. I would've rather stayed at a rinky dink hotel after staying here!! I will never stay here again or recommend people stay here!

When I tried to check in at the spg counter @ 4:05 pm the front desk clerk tells me my room isn't ready it is being inspected ( which I find hard to believe with everything that went wrong with our room).. so she gives my husband 2 keys for him to park in the garage with while I'm waiting to check in. Well 5 minutes later my husband comes back because the keys aren't working this process takes her forever to fix. Finally when our room was ready we get there and the furnutre is in really bad condition. Especially with it being a junior suite the table looked as if of was gotten from the dumpster and oh yeah there was an old blood stain on the coverlet on the bed. We also requested a rollaway bed and this room had a dbl pull out sofa as well and there were no bedding items for this in our room and when the lady came to drop of the bedding she was rude and said did you even check the closet ... Of course I checked the closet ... Don't recommend this to anyone save your money and points. You are better off paying to stay elsewhere.

Stayed there for Myrtle Beach Marathon. Hotel is conveniently located for this event. From the time I arrived I got a bad impression. To walk from parking to hotel entrance there is no adequate pedestrian walk way and have to walk in drive way where cars are passing - dangerous especially for kids. Room was disappointingly dirty. There was broken cookie on carpet (not vacuumed) and toilet seat had dried up stool on under surface. The shower head was also leaking from the side. Hotel wall seemed paper thin. Could hear neighbors very easily and they were not being excessively loud. Overall for the price I was very disappointed.
