Rated 5 out of 5 by My new first choice for an Erie hotel. I came into town because my father was in the hospital near the hotel. I spent my first night in another hotel in town where the conditions were uninhabitable. I checked on the availability of this hotel last-minute and luckily I got in! The hotel is within very easy walking distance to Hamot Hospital and everything on lower State Street, including my must-have Starbucks. I took advantage of room service several times and the food was excellent. Hotel staff are friendly and when I had an unorthodox request, they went above and beyond to accommodate me. April 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Champagne hotel, beer service. I paid for the room ahead of time and expected it to be fully paid as per my phone conversation with one of your reservation agents.Upon arrival I found out it was going to be $12.00 more to park your car. The man that checked me in was very apologetic and a very nice man but still had to pay the money. I got to the room and opened the window to see lake Erie and the window (on the outside) was filthy. The bed was very comfortable, room was very clean. At 01:42 on the night of my stay the very loud talking in the hallway and the banging of doors continued until approx 03:30. I took my family to your restaurant for breakfast and it cost me $70.00 for 3 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN. Even though it was way overpriced I could have walked out but through our meal our server came over and said she was going to lunch and someone else (no specific person) would take care of us. I had to go and find someone to pay my bill to and there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. As I was leaving my card would not work to get out of the parking garage so I had to park and go back into the hotel. The only bright spot of my stay was the man working the counter gave my grandson a fresh baked warm cookie and a kind word word as we were going to our function the night of our stay. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Sheraton Around! Best Sheraton we've ever stayed at! Very Family Friendly and the Staff is always great when we stay there! Great SPG Gold Benefits! If Possible the Club Floor is worth the Upgrade! The staff on the Club Floor have always been great and helped with all our family needs! Great Pool with a view of Lake Erie! The only down side is having to pay to park in the parking garage but everything else about the hotel makes up for this! Can't wait for our next trip back to the Sheraton Bayfront in Erie! Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT Hotel...GREAT Stay!! My husband and I had a great stay during the weekend of August 2, 2013. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room was great, the staff was professional and courteous, the customer service was superb and the food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic I also loved the citrus water offered in the Lobby. I'm definitely looking forward to my next stay! My only complaint is, I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. Thanks for the great stay! August 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Family Hotel!!! I have been to a lot of Sheraton Properties, by far this is the BEST. The hotel is very nice and clean and smells good, too. The front desk people are nice and very approachable. The restaurant crew are very pleasant and the food taste so great. We will definite come back to check summer time since we came during the winter time. Our stay is so short but very relaxing. March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Business Hotel We've both done a lot of business travel, now our travel is mostly leisure. I realize hotels are going green but some of the changes I'm not too fond of. In particular, no dressers or drawers of any kind in the room. I hate living out of a suitcase. For a 1- or 2-night business traveler, not an issue. We were there just shy of a week and I really hated digging in the suitcase. (There was a nice bench to hold the suitcase, though). Hotel was super clean, staff was super accommodating. Would go back again. Loved the view and proximity to Rum Runners, Smugglers Wharf and the Cove. Didn't like paying addl for parking. June 24, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in. This was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in. I was in room 329. I would suggest you send in a team for top to bottom cleaning. Dust on everything. Dirty heat registers. Dirty carpet. Dirty bathroom. Dirty bathroom doors. No drawers. No refrigerator. I hope my sheets were clean. I hope I never have to stay here again. November 28, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Attractive does not equal functionality A lovely place with great view of Presque Isle. Staff was very competent and helpful. However, whoever designed the rooms obviously did not try to stay in one. There were no drawers for clothes, so while you could hang items, you still had to live out of your suitcase. The sheets slipped off the bed during the night. Pillows were squishy. The bathroom was large, but the oversized sink forces you to enter the shower under the head which I hate. Furthermore, if you forgot your towel, it is waaaaay across the room. I also hate scrounging for the hair drier in a bag under the sink. You will probably not redesign rooms for a while, but I hope that you keep some of these thoughts in mind. November 17, 2014
