I can't say I expected much from Erie, the center of the rust belt. Luckily I was wrong! This is a beautiful downtown core, a AA baseball stadium with excitement, rich academic vibe, great state park, and White Lodging's Sheraton. The staff was top notch across the board, beautiful facility, F&B way above average for a hotel establishment. I highly recommend!

Billing adjustments...charged our credit card three different times...once for reserving room, once for Parking(no free parking at a hotel you stayed the night at that is part of the hotel) and again for the tax adjustment due to the fact their computerized system has not been updated for the tax increase that happened in January and we are into third week of April. We did not have to deal with the staff so cannot say anything about them only that when I called regarding the charges to the credit card they only made excuses saying first it was our credit card company then I asked for the manager and she made more excuses. So watch charges to your credit card from this hotel.

was quoted a price of $109 as a special pool tourney rate. upon arrival was charged $159 + tax. everyone else on my team paid the quoted $109 rate. should have known they had billing problems since while checking in a gentleman came to the front desk asking why he was only staying one night but his credit card was charged almost $500 for a 3 night stay. while the hotel was very nice the deception on the price was unexpected.

Location off the Thruway and views from the rooms make this an exceptional hotel. We were greeted by Rick and had a very pleasant check-in which included the upgrade we requested. Club floor hostess, Linda was super for friendliness and service. Food is excellent at this property! Upon checkout on a Sunday, Ari (I believe a manager) was in lobby greeting customers and thanking them for staying.....what a great touch! We'll be back and hopefully soon!

I do consulting work with Hamot Hospital. Normally I love this facility but my last stay was terrible. I was in room 214 - no paying guest should be forced to stay in this room! It was like being at party central and you can hear every ding of the elevator. My work hours were early and long and this room location was horrible! The room cleanliness was marginal - the breakfast tray remained in the room until I removed it. Very disappointed!

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in.
I was in room 329.
I would suggest you send in a team for top to bottom cleaning.
Dust on everything.
Dirty heat registers.
Dirty carpet.
Dirty bathroom.
Dirty bathroom doors.
No drawers.
No refrigerator.
I hope my sheets were clean.
I hope I never have to stay here again.

There is very little else to compete with this hotel in Erie. But the staff evidently is not complacent. I was amazed at the personalized attention and SPG recognition. The waterfront location is amazing. Erie was a stop on our way to the Niagara falls and it became a highlight of our trip thanks to our hotel stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by inconsiderate Barking Dogs late nite and early A.M.
Beware of the "dog friendly" areas of the hotel. The yappy dog across the hall woke us up 4 times!!!! Very disappointed that a nice hotel would allow dogs to disturb other guests! Especially for the price!
