Rated 3 out of 5 Not what I expect from Starwood I paid for an upgraded room with club lounge access specifically for the buffet breakfast and evening hors devours. However when my family went up for breakfast, there was none. After calling the front desk they gave us a breakfast voucher for $45 for 4 people to use at the hotel restaurant, which barely covered the cost of 2. The hotel does not have a shuttle, which is surprising because less expensive hotels in the area do. We also had to call an engineer to the room to have the heat turned on. Overall, I don't think you get what you pay for here. April 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sheraton Baltimore city center The hotel is dirty. The bed cover had a ketchup stain that was not new. The club room was filthy. The ability to get a cup of coffee in the am was complicated. When we did get to breakfast. The coffee was cold and the egg white omelet was dr upping with oil. Unedible. When I told the front desk he made a minor adjustment on my bill but barely acknowledged the issue. I am a platinum member. I stay in starwood hotels all over the nation. This was the worst. Rated 2 out of 5 by check in upon checking in no spg recongnition. Front desk agent was not friendly. I asked her about the self parking, no direction to how to get to the parking garage, she didnt even inform me that if I bring in my ticket for the parking garage I will get a discount for staying at the hotel. Which I think is important when u are a guest at the hotel. When I got to my room there was a pair of socks in front of my room. Housekeeping came to the room to bring extra towels and I told them that the socks where here when I checked in. The housekeeper looked at hem and kept walking did not pick them up. Which I think she should have at least picked them up, so no guest would have to see those. Upon check out front desk agents was not friendly at all very rude. April 13, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing I would rate this as an average hotel. Staff was generally courteous. "Disappointing" as I expected an enhanced service level given rates and location. Maid service could never get it right, inconsistent in leaving amenities/towels and stocking me with only decaf coffee despite my notifying guest services X2. I had an extended stay (about 7 nites) and am in dispute over the bill - being charged around $80 / nite more than my confirmation quoted. I was able to clear up erroneous internet charges ($10/day) at checkout but the clerk said he could not help me get the rate corrected and I had to leave to catch a flight. Food was decent in restaurant, but overpriced, as well. When on the road a lot, this is a worse nightmare to now have to call and haggle over a bill. Maybe I should rate Disappointing AND Irritated. Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff went above and beyond Every staff member was incredibly helpful and accommodating -- from the valets to the bell hops to the concierge to the front desk to the waiter, all went above and beyond to meet our needs. We arrived in the midst of terrible traffic due to St. Patricks day parade and needed to deal with our car and get a large quantity of boxes to the convention center. The valet was very helpful. In addition, I want to give a shout out to Kevin, one of the bell hops, who volunteered to wheel all of our materials down to the convention center. He could not have been more good natured and made a stressful situation manageable. Thank you! March 30, 2014
