I can't express my gratitude for the kindness of one of the staff. I really wish I would have noted her name. She called me the afternoon before my arrival to confirm sleeping arrangements. She saw that I had listed in the comments that we wouldn't be there until really late. We arrived at 2:30 am after a long day of travel to find a nicely upgraded suite with the sofa made up and the rollaway in place for our 2 children. She also made sure we had plenty of towels. We were so very tired, and to see that everything was taken care of was a wonderful relief.
My only note for improvement was that my key for the club room didn't work. And when I did get in at 8 am there was only one water left, no coke or Pepsi of any kind. They did have a Sparklettes dispenser that I was able to get a cup of cold water. They had hot eggs and potatoes.
Overall I would highly recommend it if you are traveling through and need a comfy place to sleep. Some of the furnishings were stained, but they have posted that they are currently in a renovation. The staff was excellent! Thank you!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by JenPurrs Don't stay here
This old hotel is an embarrassment to SPG. I only stayed here to be close to Tucson Medical Center. Everything looks dingy and run down. Stains on furniture and carpet. Crappy TV channel selections. Coffee maker disgusting. Thin floors so I heard every step the guy above me took at 4 am when he decided to do aerobics. Bed was comfy, and they give lots of toiletries. Those are the only pluses. They have a remodel scheduled to start May 2016, but I saw no sign of it.

I left my king size My PILLOW BEHIND reported it only 8 hours after I left and still know one found it come on I stayed there 3 nights and it was in the bed when I left. Instead of saying I will look into it further, the lady said you could not have left it here. Just so you know I am in the Business, this is no way to treat a guest. Especially at a 3.5 star hotel.

This is my second stay at this property, it works out great for location and to have the size of the guestroom. I know the rooms are going to be remodeled soon which is great, I did notice that the beds were stiff and hope those will be replaced. As well lighting in the rooms could be a little brighter. Other than that I will return. the restaurants food was great and good service. Love being able to walk and close enough to U of A where the wedding was I attended. Thank you!

Obviously this hotel needs a major renovation. Once it is completed, I would recommend it. The staff were great and obviously aware of the changes that need to happen and are just waiting. Which is why I am certain they were kind enough to upgrade us to a nicer room. It was definitely larger and I'm sure much nicer. However, the bathrooms were not clean, part of the problem is the chalking being missing and/or mildewy. There were coffee stains on the tile floor, dents in the walls etc.. I'm sure these will be fixed shortly by the reno. However, the staff definitely made up for these issues.

Nice and well equipped suites. Slow front desk service. Average breakfast buffet. Central location in Tucson

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lucygirl1215 Beautiful lobby, but rooms were dated.
When you walk in, your expectations are raised because of the beautiful lobby, then, disappointment sets in. Hotel looks like it's seen better days. Definitely in need of a facelift. However, the location was good for what I was in Tucson for.
