Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel at the heart of Columbia If you are looking at visiting Columbia and having everything at walking distance, then you should stay in this hotel. Me and my friends stayed there and restaurant/bar hopped almost every place on main strait. We also visited the state house which is just a minutes walk away. Overall would recommend the hotel. Only minus to the hotel right now is that there is some construction going on next to the hotel and you can hear the construction noise inside your room. The construction starts in the morning probably around 8am. If you wake up usually at 8am anyways, then this won't be a problem :). August 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Columbia SC Sheraton Review Awful experience; took 2 - 3minutes of ringing to get hotel operator to answer. had to get operator to transfer me to inroom dining as they didn't answer their phone either. dinner was 30 minutes late in delivery. tried to call valet parking to bring my car to door but no one answered any phone number at all. Had to go down to lobby to get service. August 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not up to Sheraton standards It seemed several things were being "remodeled" or otherwise disorganized. Most noticeable was the club lounge which was relocated next to the POSH dining room. The setting was less than posh -- but since it was raining we made the mistake of having dinner there -- no wine list -- told we could go down to the Vault Lounge if we wanted to see a selection other than the "one dry white" provided. Food was less than mediocre with the TV show "Jeopardy" blaring near us. The server tried his best but seemed overwhelmed. August 6, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not at all what I expected I've stayed in other Starwood Resorts before and have been very pleased. This is the first time I have stayed in a Sheraton (5 star#. I was not impressed whatsoever. The air conditioner would not lower and the bathroom was dirty. There was something blue running down the shower sides and the the tub would not drain #up to my ankles in dirty water). I noted these issues to the staff and left a card with my comments. The bed and the location were the best things about our stay. I was expecting so much more - especially for the price. I've stayed at 3 star hotels that were much cleaner and ejoyable. Very disappointed. September 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A wonderful experience We arrived very late and had driven a long way. Our family was hungry and although my husband and I were comfortable with eating the prepared sandwiches our son was not. The bartender at the hotel's Vault bar went to the kitchen and made him a sandwich that he would eat. What service. That service was an example of how this hotel accommodates their guests. We fully enjoyed the club level lounge and the buffet breakfast finding the food tasty and well prepared. The evening buffet was as appetizing. We enjoyed the bar area in the basement and found the Rooftop Bar a wonderful place to see some of the city at night. We fully intend on returning. January 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Columbia's service keeps getting better The Sheraton Columbia's service keeps getting better and better, with a few minor adjustments, it could be top notch. The bar has been raised with Cedric in the club lounge. Cedric should teach classes to all of us in the service industry. Now, with the addition of Chef Rick, the food is delicious. Yes, they now charge 6.00 for wine in the lounge, but it's worth the price. Matt at the front desk was very nice. Valet is still slow and expensive, engineering never fixed 3 broken items that I told the front desk about twice, and the rooms are little worn. All that is trumped by the quality of service and pride from the employees. July 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good aesthetics, bad cleaning... The aesthetics of the hotel were good however the room wasn't cleaned well. The shower area wasn't cleaned well. The bed seemed like an old spring mattress that creaked badly when you moved on it. August 6, 2014
