Entire family stay for wedding. Very accommodating. Shuttle great to and from. Valet service excellent. Breakfast extremely good. Highly recommend this 19th century hotel.

I was billed twice for a room. It has now been over 3 weeks with no resolution. I get nothing but lip service from the location. Columbia S.C.
If this is how they handle their billing issues I will NEVER stay here again.

We arrived very late and had driven a long way. Our family was hungry and although my husband and I were comfortable with eating the prepared sandwiches our son was not. The bartender at the hotel's Vault bar went to the kitchen and made him a sandwich that he would eat. What service. That service was an example of how this hotel accommodates their guests.
We fully enjoyed the club level lounge and the buffet breakfast finding the food tasty and well prepared. The evening buffet was as appetizing. We enjoyed the bar area in the basement and found the Rooftop Bar a wonderful place to see some of the city at night.
We fully intend on returning.

I've stayed in other Starwood Resorts before and have been very pleased. This is the first time I have stayed in a Sheraton (5 star#. I was not impressed whatsoever. The air conditioner would not lower and the bathroom was dirty. There was something blue running down the shower sides and the the tub would not drain #up to my ankles in dirty water). I noted these issues to the staff and left a card with my comments. The bed and the location were the best things about our stay. I was expecting so much more - especially for the price. I've stayed at 3 star hotels that were much cleaner and ejoyable. Very disappointed.

first of all, I will say that the room was fine and the doorman and desk reps were great and it was Sunday evening and restaurant seating was not available. So, we took our drink vouchers and went to the outdoor rooftop lounge. We were only offered bar fare and did not discover later from lobby personnel that we should have been offered the full menu. It was in the 50s and my wife had to ask 2 or 3 times if the bartender would please turn on the heaters. I guess he was too busy talking to his buddies worst experience we had had with a Sheridan

This is a charming property. I was only at the hotel a few hours (arrived late at night and left early the next morning), but I was very impressed. There are several restaurants and bars in the hotel-- each with its own character. The rooftop (open-air) bar was smokey and not my taste, but the basement restaurant and bar decent food and beer on tap. The other venues looked good, but I didn't try them.
The club lounge had drinks and snack 24 hours which was nice. Breakfast didn't start until 7am and I had to leave before then. It looked adequate to good though. The rooms (we had two rooms) were excellent as were the beds. Everything was clean and just what you'd expect. I left wishing that I had more time to spend at this property and the surrounding area. I'd definitely come back.

First the front desk staff at this hotel was great! They were friendly, and always there to answer your questions with a friendly smile. Second the room nice. Large bathroom and plenty of room in the bedroom to work or relax. Unfortunately, I would never recommend anyone eat at the POSH restaurant on the second floor. I have stayed at this hotel twice, and ate at POSH at least one night each stay. Never again. I will gladly stay at this hotel, but I will be eating elsewhere. This last stay I ordered a Cobb Salad. The chicken was dry, the avocado was old, but the worst part was the lettuce was brown and slimy. I was able to return the salad, after hunting down the server, and I ordered another dinner item to go.

I had driven four straight hours prior to my stay and lost my check card so I had no choice but to drive the four hours back. I called SPG and Denise (who was incredible) connected me to the Sheraton Columbia where I not only used my points, but was upgraded so my 7 year-old and I could get something to eat for dinner and breakfast as I had very little cash. Kate at the front desk was amazing. She was so very caring, understanding and professional. The staff in the lounge was great as well. The hotel is amazing. My daughter is a hotel junkie so she kept saying "Oh my gosh". The bed was so comfortable and all the amenities were great. I could go on and on but suffice it to say, this was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had!
