Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent We just spent 1 night, tried to book a second night but they were totally booked. We asked for a 4pm checkout, of course the answer was yes. At other SPG hotels the request has been granted, but long before 4pm someone would be knocking on the room door multiple times. This time Dalia and Serenia were very polite and allowed us our 4pm checkout without disturbing us! Thank you so much for this courtesy. The hotel was nice, clean, very convenient. Checkin was simple and easy, allowing us to watch the 4th quarter of a good football game. The breakfast in the lounge was more than nice. All around, we were very pleased with ou stay and will return. October 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cozy hideaway in the heart of La Jolla Village We enjoyed our weekend stay here very much. This hotel is a cozy hideaway in the midst of La Jolla Village. Even though it is in close proximity to the excellent shopping center (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc), once you enter the hotel grounds, you feel transported to a private urban retreat that is quiet and convenient. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is not too large, and feels cozy and relaxing. An excellent choice for business travelers, visitors to UCSD, and anyone looking for a brief retreat. Rated 4 out of 5 by bathrooms need updating Bathroom toilet had very little pressure and would not flush. Maintenance person came right away and changed a part in the toilet, unfortunately it malfunctioned once again. August 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel... Kudos to Paul.. Hotel property is decent with comfortable beds and an okay lounge. I really enjoyed relaxing at the pool. What made the difference to me was Paul at the front desk. He went out of his way to take care of my family during the stay. Thanks Paul! August 21, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by If you want the SPG points..... A pretty middle of the road property - fairly outdated decor with a resort feel. Stayed here only because I needed to be in La Jolla and I wanted to collect SPG points. The rooms are clean and I was upgraded to a spacious room. Mixed experiences with the staff. The front desk guy named Joey was really good - friendly, great attitude, and acknowledged me the minute I stepped through the glass door. On the other hand, the Club Lounge was completely different. The woman on staff during my stay had an unpleasant attitude. I went in twice and was not greeted until I said hello. I bussed my own table and received no acknowledgment for doing so...yet of course the tip jar was out in full view. On my check out day on Saturday morning, the lounge wasn't ready at 7:30, no staff. I came back 10 minutes later to find a different woman setting up. When I tried to use the cappuccino machine, I was told "t's not ready yet. I just turned it on." Ok got it. The whole time she was chatting away with what seemed like regular guests and complaining about how the place was left a mess while she was gone. Very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Location in La Jolla I recently stayed at the Sheraton La Jolla, which is a bit farther away than the other major chains, on the other side of the 5. This was my first time staying here, but it won't be my last. The grounds were very nice, and my suite (upgraded by the front desk) was very well maintained. The staff were very nice as well, especially those that work in the Club Lounge which, although it was open odd hours, was quite nice. Given the famous San Diego traffic, I find it odd that the Lounge would open at 7am, which is later than I needed to be on the road. Most other Club Lounges at other Sheratons I stay at open at 6 or 6:30, sometimes even earlier. My only "negative" is that the food at the hotel restaurant, Humphreys, did not live up to the descriptions on the menu. I have seldom had such an underwhelming dinner, as everything was amazingly bland - it's almost as if they were cooking for the geriatric crowd (not that there's anything wrong with that), who did seem to overrun the restaurant. This is very unusual for a hotel restaurant. I'd gladly stay at this hotel again, I'll just be sure I eat elsewhere. May 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Favorite Hotel Would Absolutely Recommend A+ I love this hotel, from the minute you're greeted by the valet, to the friendly maids with wide smiles, this place is first class and amazing value. We've stayed here two weekends in a row, and will probably be back again this weekend. The rooms are spacious, spotless, comfortable and well appointed. The staff anticipate needs, Stacy and Sharon in the restaurants are fantastic ambassadors for Sheraton, they make you feel like they've known you for years. April 6, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Will not stay here again the room was hot. smelled musty. shower handle fell off in my hand. asked to be transferred to another room and was told I had a standard room and there were none left only preferred rooms. the only thing that was good was the food. February 12, 2016
