Rated 3 out of 5 by Nipper Worst SPG treatment and stay
Although the hotel the lobby where very nice, and the room a nice view. The treatment and facilites where not up to par.
Had to go to four floors to find a working ice machine.
No hot water in the morning and hotel was not busy it was less than 50% fulll according to the staff, which when I voice any of my concerns they just fell on deaf ears. They also do not honour all the priviledges you are suppose to get with Gold and don't even seem to care, it is just a matter of fact

Rated 1 out of 5 by Horne21 hot rooms and unhelpful staff
We arrived to chaos in the lobby because peoples rooms were not ready and it was after 4pm. Our room the first night was unbearably hot so the 2nd day we immediately contacted guest services and they said that they would send someone up. This went on ALL day....our last request was when we got back to our room at 2am and it was still hot. They came and opened a window...not helpful. The room was not clean..candy on the floor and hair in the bathroom and tub Not a great stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful in answering my questions upon checkin. The room was meticulously clean and spacious with a beautiful city scape view of both Michigan Avenue and the water traffic below.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rambo44 Good times has gone
The welcome was great: customer friendly and we felt really welcome ! The rooms are a bit outdated and so are the floors in general. Rooms are ok but for this amount of money I would have expected more. The whole feeling and impression you get in the lobby isn't confirmed on the sleeping levels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MrsN Why make reservations?
My company had booked a conference months ago but yet when I arrived, I was informed that the bed I booked wasn't available. Then, they stated they would call me the next day as they were certain MY request would be available the next day. I never got a phone call and when I inquired again about the bed I requested, they told me it was "first come first served". Why the heck are reservations REQUIRED then? To make up for the bed issue, they stated I was put in the newly renovated side of the hotel. Hardly. The room was straight out of the 70s. The bathroom shower faucet leaked so that when you took a shower you had to make sure you didn't leave anything on the counter or it would get soaked. Then the iron didn't work. Overall, AWFUL experience. Overpriced and DEFINITELY under whelmed with their hotel. Would NOT book there again.

The hotel is very conveniently located. The wurrounding area is beautiful. Lots of things to do and see are within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable. I was a little disappointed in the niceness of the bathroom. The water faucet in the bathtub shook like it was going to come out of the wall when the water was running. The bathroom door needs to be painted. The light in the floor lamp was burned out.

The housekeeping even when asked did not clean my room by noon. I had to ask teh concierge to call for me. The club is lovely but it is understaffed so it is a mess, dirty container that holds silverware and messed up pillows and dirty plates on tables for a while. The people that are working are working hard but cant accomodate all the crowds....There should be more options for wine as well as a menu with prices in the club lounge.

The layout of the hotel makes this a very easy location to hold a meeting. The food is excellent and the staff is the best I have ever worked with.

Here for a conference. All was great except housekeeping was very skimpy Saturday into Sunday. Did not leave spare kleenex, extra soap (we almost ran out), etc.

- Staff was excellent
- Check in and check out lines were excessive.
- Quality of room furnishing poor, no couch, only one easy chair, very stark.
- The key & lock system DID NOT WORK. Ourselves and others had trouble getting the key to register in the lock.
- Bathroom sink handles lifted OFF!
- Lighting around the mirror was missing the flouresence tube across the top.
- Complimentry Breakfast was poor, Hampton Inns are better. No sugar free or whole wheat offerings..

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissatisfied Nights very loud at this hotel
The room I stayed in was remodeled, which was nice compared to previous stays. However, the walls/door to the hallway were very thin and you could hear EVERYTHING all evening long. I believe the person staying across the hall from me normally worked in another time zone and was on the phone most of the night, making what sounded like business calls. I got very little sleep in 3 days. The hotel staff did not seem to care and offered nothing regarding compensation.

I have never had such a bad experience in ten years! The only good comment is how the manager responded! Bryan really was concerned and offered to make our next stay better! At this point we are not sure we will be back! however, if we do we will make sure to call Bryan!

Rated 4 out of 5 by mct1 Good hotel in Chicago
Enjoyed my stay once I got into my room. Got in about 12:30 p.m. and couldn't check into room until 3:00. At 3:00, room wasn't ready, at 5:30 p.m. I called again and after pushing a little, got into the room by 6. I did get a $30 credit for my trouble but would have rather gotten into the room at an appropriate time. Room nice, spacious and comfy. We did have a meeting room on the lower level but found bathrooms to be quite far away. MIght be a problem with a large meeting. Overall, hotel was fine - workout area was good. Pool looked nice. Limited evening dinner locations in the hotel. An expensive Shula's steak house was all that was available so a walk to a restaurant might be needed but there are many close. I was charged for a minibar item that I did not even open but they took off the charge. Overall, a nice stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Midwesterner19 Nice location but a little dated.
The concierage desk was very helpful with directions and some recommendations. Housekeeping was hit or miss. It could use a little touch up of paint and wallpaper. It is certainly well located along the river and its walking trails.

Rated 3 out of 5 by labday Nice location
We have stayed at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers for the last few years and this time was the worst. Our room felt like someone had just threw things in it so they could put people in it . There was no clock/alarm, one chair, we had to hunt down the glasses and ice bucket. The phone system was the worst. We called for a wake up call and never received a call. If it wasn't for the couple we were traveling with we would have missed our ride to the airport and our flight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah Courteous Front Desk
Wanted to make the most of a normal weekend, flew in early on Saturday and flew out late Sunday. The front desk not only granted us a check-in around 1p on Saturday, but they also allowed for a 4p check out on Sunday. A nice location and a good view of the lake from one of the corner rooms on the 15th floor. The lobby is open and welcoming, room was clean, etc. These courtesies were extended without Gold or Platinum status, which makes them even more appreciated!

The club floor was a really nice benefit with comfortable chairs and good snacks. We really enjoyed exploring Chicago by foot from this location and renting bikes nearby for the lake trail. Lots of great restaurants nearby. This is a fun place for Chicago and Miracle Mile trips.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kathleen64 Sheraton Tower Chicago Xmas week
Seemed understaffed and hotel was under renovation. Thankfully pool was open as it was a hit with the grandkids. When we checked in to 16 floor...halls were littered with food trays and hadn't been swept. Reported on day after check in but wasn't cleaned til late that day (the 27th). Room didn't have all amenities when we checked and room had food odor. Staff that was there were very nice but clearly there were not enough of them in restaurants, front desk, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KerryD EXCELLENT HOTEL
The Sheraton is hands down my favorite hotel in downtown Chicago. I travel weekly to the Windy City and no matter how busy the staff is, they ALWAYS make me feel welcome. I appreciate the attention to detail, the size and the comfort of the rooms. The location is terrific --- downtown without the noise of the city.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AGLZ I was not Impressed
My room was not impressive: actually I thought this room needed a whole fix-up. Everything in it looked old and shabby. The only great thing about the room were the beds.In addition my first night there and after a 9 hour flight I was woken up by very loud guests going to their rooms at late hours, which I did not appreciate. The hotel itself is in a great location but other than that I would never choose it for a holiday vacation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DealHunter Good Value Overall
Spring break a challenge for any busy hotel. Pool exceeding crowded with guests and looked like it was "on its own" from at least the time we arrived at the pool 4p to 10pm close. Used towels, coffee cups, completely wet deck, everywhere. The views make up for it.
Still, good value and great experience, extremely soft linens and yummy beds, renovated rooms, great location.
Lobby's Shula's steak house excellent food and service but pricey for a family budget..

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers is very appealing to the eye upon entering. The floors are clean and shiny. When you enter your room, you are greeted with a pleasant clean smell. The beds look very inviting, bathroom is roomy. Everything is crispy clean. you can see extra care has been given to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GBPaula Nice and Convenient
This hotel is very nice and very convenient. However, why is it that the nicer the hotel, the less complimentary services such as WiFi - expensive WiFi. Expensive breakfast. No Fridge in the room unless you want to pay $25/night for one. This just doesn't make sense to me. A $120 hotel in the suburbs comes with a fridge in the room, free WiFi, free breakfast and sometimes even a Happy Hour with snacks. Pool was very small and SunDeck was even smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuperLobbyist A great business location in Chicago River North
A superb location and excellent service mark this large and very comfortable establishment, in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Staff is engaged and friendly; and appear to be truly concerned about the welfare of guests. Rooms on the club level are well appointed and relatively large. The only off note was the quality and preparation of the evening "snacks" offered in the Club Lounge in the evening; though the continental breakfast in the morning was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ppat Excellent hotel, excellent location
Besides the location which was perfect with most downtown attractions within walking distance and great views (Hancock and Navy Pier in the North, and Willis Tower and Chicago River in the South), we found the hotel staff to be very accommodating and courteous. They checked us in much earlier than normal and extended our check-out time to early evening at our request. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful in charting out a plan for touring Chicago.
