OMG the beds at this hotel. I slept like a baby. The room is quiet and comfortable a really great hotel in the center of the city.

Staff did not recognize my Gold status. Gave me a room with two beds that in fact had only one murphy bed. Upon requesting for a roll-over bed or mattress, staff brought me one after one hour. It was 12:30 am before the extra mattress was brought over. Really poor customer service. Also, front desk staff mentioned that they would upgrade me to a better room, but room was just normal not an upgrade.

Overall the stay was excellent. Brian, the Guest Services Supervisor, Rene, Club Level Associate and Kenyada, the early morning Guest Service Agent who heled with my departure. These individuals were all great!
My only constructive criticism is the room temperature never got cooler then 70 degrees. I ended up requesting a fan which thy brought up within 15 minutes

Rated 2 out of 5 by John Not the Sheraton expected
I stayed 3 days in the Sheraton in Chicago and the disappointment started already with the check-in, where had to make a long line since there were only 2 employees while an important conference started that day in the Hotel.
The employees at the check-in counter didn't make a very competent impression.
The bed was just a folding bed, which wasn't a comfortable as expected from a Sheraton bed.

Hotel is renovating rooms; however, we stayed in a room that hadn't been remodeled. Very slow check-in, arrived on Friday night around 1130 pm and had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes, I was second in line among 6 other guests. I asked for two rooms next to each other, front desk clerk said I would have to wait, they were still cleaning one room, at 1130pm!! So, we opted for another room on another floor.
I just wonder is hotel is short staffed or they try and run it with minimal staff. We had two rooms, one on 29th floor and other on 31st floor. I saw the same housekeeping staff on both floors at different times. I will say I felt bad for them, they work hard and worked late into evening.
Rooms had a lot of dust around furniture. Average cleanliness.
Housekeepers very friendly and front desk very friendly.
I would consider staying there again, I only stayed there because of my SPG points.

Rated 1 out of 5 by neveragain072513 Arrogant staff, mediocre rooms, overpriced.
This hotel has a beautiful lobby, but somewhat dated and shabby rooms. The staff are pleasant, but not inclined to go out of their way to help much. Our room key didn't work properly -- you'd have to try it over and over, maybe 15 or 20 times before it would work. We replaced the keys twice, same problem. They said they'd get someone right on it, but it never happened.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Teshiya28 This hotel will not have rooms ready when you arrive
When we got to the hotel, parking was ridiculous. We parked on site and it was awful trying to park in their garage.
When we went to check in the hotel at 5pm our room was not ready! Which to me was unacceptable being that late in the evening. We didn't even get the room we had reserved. My husband, 3 children, and myself had to pile into a small (1) King bed room. We paid extra to have access to the lounge for breakfast, snacks, etc. There was not a very good selection of food, not only that but they didn't keep it stocked so food ran out quickly. Overall the bed was comfortable, however there weren't even washcloths or hand towels in the room I had to call and ask for them. Wifi is not free at this location either it is $15 do be able to use your computer which again I feel is ridiculous especially in the city. The view wasn't bad, the pool was nice, and it isn't far from many attractions.

The elevator could be heard from my room continually. There were few outlets for plugging in computer , phone, etc. Shower was medicore too.I was not offerd points for being "green" like Westin offers. Location near Univ of Chicago would be the only reason for me to select this hotel next time. One positive -- Late checkout for SPG status -- was very much appreciated so hotel staff was great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Filomena50 Great location, great breakfast buffet
We received an incredible view room with a panoramic view of Navy Pier and surrounding area. It was beautiful. The buffet was incredible. Crepes and Omeletes made to order, great bakery items. The only complaint is that they needed to check the strawberries for freshness. There were some moldy ones, which I found strange since we had been there before and never had a problem. Also the steakhouse was delicious but way overpriced. A dinner for 2 with no alcohol was $136. Lucky we let our son split our meal. The price above actually included a 20% discount. They need another restaurant that is not so expensive.
Also while the view was incredible and room very nice location, the mattress was surprisingly hard. For a hotel of this caliber, they need more comfortable mattresses. Finally, I don't expect the pool to be large, and it wasn't, but I do expect a whirlpool in the pool area. There was none.

My overall stay was very pleasant. The room, amenities, location and staff were great. One of the things I did not enjoy were my towels getting picked up every day. I hung my towels each day for reuse, but they were replaced with new ones! That defeats the purpose of the program. I also was not offered the voucher to forgo housekeeping. I wish would of been offered at check-in.

The room was small with 2 double beds which were not comfortable with our 2 children. The bathroom was old and in desperate need of updating. Not what I would expect in Chicago. The location was great but when we asked to check out 45 minutes late, they said NO. Not very service oriented, when you are a Starwood Member. Bring your own bottled water or expect to pay $7+ for each in the room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NotMyBO Bad start, but they did try.
It didn't start off well when I had to wait over 2 hours for my room to be made ready (or "cleaned") even though it was 45 minutes into the start of check-in time already (1530 hrs). The hotel was not forthcoming with concessions, so I had to ask, but to their credit they did give something. I was given access to the Club Lounge, but just for the time I had to wait. After complaining about waiting for 2 hours I coaxed more concessions, but they were not very freely giving either. Nonetheless they did give concessions, a couple of breakfast vouchers, and a $30 room credit, which really was just $25.77 in credit in the end. Prices in general were very high, especially at an in-hotel cafe, and the quality was sub-par for the price.
The worst part was that I had waited 2 hours for my room to be "cleaned" and the bed smelled like B.O.
Overall it was an ok stay, but they could really do much better.

One word sum-up: Fantastic! The location is excellent, the staff was great, the views were amazing, and the Club Lounge was incredible (and never crowded)! We've stayed at lots of nice hotels in the Chicago area and this is one of our top choices for sure.

We were in town for my cousin's wedding and after the first night I was doubting if I should have attended. We were kept up most of the night by a neighboring bridal party who were very chatty all night. After repeated atttempts to ask them to quiet down myself I finally had to call the front desk. Security was sent up & they were quiet briefly, but started gabbing again 'til the wee hours of the morning.
The next morning I went to the front desk to ask for a room change if the girls were going to stay next to us again that night. To say Tori was phenominal would be an understatement. She took such good care of us that she turned an extremely unpleasant experience into the experience of a lifetime. She couldn't have been more apologetic and accommodating. We even got an upgrade to the most amazing suite I've ever seen. It made the suffering from the first night seem worth it! Thanks Tori. You are the BEST!

We stayed at the Sheraton on the river in Chicago with our two grandchildren for one night. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the decor fashionalble with the times. The children enjoyed the pool. We had a room on a high floor overlooking the river which was great. The hotel is located centrally between Michigan and Wacker, so we could walk everywhere.

There never seemed to be enough valet staff to park cars or bring the car in a timely manner. There was always a crowd in the waiting area for the cars and at times it was as if the staff had never done this before. There was times I parked on the street and paid twice for the parking just to avoid dealing with the hotel valet. For $51/night and at a Starwood property I expect a lot more.

My wife & I returned to the Sheraton for a 4day R&R. We wanted to be pampered and see the city again. We got both. The location of the Sheraton is perfect to see Chicago. We had a great view of the river and could see the lake, too. We could walk to most of the things we wanted to see & visit and cabs were easy for other locations. The staff was it's usual welcoming friendly crew.

This isn't the first time my wife and I've stayed at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers and it won't be the last. We like to be active when we're in Chicago; we walk a lot, shop, dine, see theatre, art, and music. The location of the Sheraton allows all of these things easily. The hotel is a comfortable center and it's easy to move in all directions for whatever activity we choose.

I was very impressed with the service at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel. They did an outstanding job taking care of me during my 3 day stay. The location is excellent. Just a short walk to the pier, the beaches, and Grant Park. This is also in a very nice area of Chicago. Very safe and comfortable walking around at night. I highly recommend this place.

Great hotel, staff, location. Upon departure from the labrynth self parking garage I was unable to exit. My ticket was invalid despite paying the $45 per night parking. Very frustrating and time consuming. The call button provided no assistance at the gate. Re-park, re-enter hotel, wait to speak w/mgr on duty and discuss with Roarke Mgr. I am hoping this was resolved w/a few points.

I wish I knew what brand of mattress you use because I have never had such a perfect bed in any other Hotel chain I have visited. The room was great with a great view of the river and lake. The only concern I had was the room needed to be deep cleaned. The surfaces were clean but the walls, ceilings, nooks and crannies had lots of dust.
