Rated 4 out of 5 by this hotel has some great staff Very friendly REceptions staff, even when under presure October 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Downtown Chicago Location The Sheraton Hotel is a very good convention or meeting hotel. It can accommodate large groups with ease. The common areas of the facility are very nice and appear to be recently renovated. The rooms are very traditional as this appears to be an older hotel. October 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Conference location This hotel is very good for a conference location. The audio and visual setups in each conference room were good. There is a little coffee shop and restaraunt and water was provided in several locations. October 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding staff very happy and helpful staff at the reservation desk October 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Average Stay I found the hotel to be gorgous, the location to be ideal but there were other aspects that didn't meet my expectations. My bed had things under it from a previous person...the HVAC unit was open revealing insulation and dirt/dust. And when I initially checked in I was told the hotel was overbooked and they tried to move me to another hotel. The staff was extremely nice and did indeed get me into a room (as I'd reserved one months in advance) but it overall wasn't an ideal experience. October 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location While putting myself through college, I worked as a bellman in both convention and luxury resort hotels. So even though I had one bag and could have taken it myself, I tipped the doorman to have the bag taken to my room. I gave my ticket to the front desk and went to my room. I waited for my bag, but it never arrived. So I left more money on the bed and left the room to register for my conference. I then walked the river and made it back to the hotel a couple hours later. The bag had still not been delivered so I went to the lobby. The bellman's response was that they called my room three times but I did not answer. I know they did not deliver the bag to an empty room because they assumed there would be no tip involved. The same thing happened to my colleage in a different room. That's not the way I treated guests when I was in that position and was surprised to have it happen in such a nice hotel. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed and not standard policy. I must add that upon check in, the clerk was very accomodating when I asked for a room with a river view. I was told the room had a walk in shower rather than it being handicapped equiped. Still, the view made up for it, but a better explanation would have prevented the moderate inconvenience. October 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Never ever stay here I'd recommend never staying in this hotel. When I first arrived, it was covered in nail clippings and hair. The sheets, pillows and comforters had stains on them. I would have requested another room, but they were booked. Then a few nights later my room key was inadvertently deactivated, which was not fun to deal with at 10:30 at night. Overall, it was an awful and disgusting stay. Never going back and will have to seriously consider whether or not I want to stay at any other Sheratons in the future. October 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a lot for your money For the price this places charges, the hotel is NOT great. It's dark and gloomy. The bathroom lighting is terrible. There was a long wait at check-in. My friend had to wait 4 hours for a room. No free wi-fi. Best part was the comfort of the bed and pillows. Bell boy says he "cant recommend any place to eat" becuase he has only worked there two years and doesn't know of a good place. He was zero help. October 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed in room Room was substandard compared to other hotels I have visited. Bathroom was very outdated with dirty tile grouting. There was no room service menu in the room - had to call for one. Front desk staff very helpful. Meeting rooms were pretty good but food overall was disappointing. Would not stay in this hotel again. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location, very nice hotel Nice hotel and front desk staff got everything correct with my separate charges. Club room is worth the extra $. October 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay I loved the Sheraton Towers in downtown Chicago. Within two blocks of the Magnificent Mile - it has fantastic views. Suzanne at the Concierge Desk was especially rock star. October 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by My room needed an update I've stayed at the hotel four times over the past two years because of conferences I've attended. I still cannot believe they have a tiny safe on the wall inside the closet. It barely holds anything and I'm continually annoyed they have not updated the safes to hold a laptop. After flushing the toilet it ran for longer than normal and was very loud. It was very annoying when you got up in the middle of night to use it. October 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wedding Our son had his wedding at this location. Our reservations were quite complicated. Linda Homel at this property worked with us and was the most efficient, helpful and understand individual you could ever deal with. She went out of her way to make sure everything went right personally calling several times to make sure there were no problems. Everyone of our guests had positives to say about their stay. The food at the wedding was fantastic as well as the setting outside for the cocktail party. Would recommend this location for your group event. Again Sheraton is lucky to have an associate like Ms. Hormel on on their staff. October 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is appealing. The Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers is very appealing to the eye upon entering. The floors are clean and shiny. When you enter your room, you are greeted with a pleasant clean smell. The beds look very inviting, bathroom is roomy. Everything is crispy clean. you can see extra care has been given to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. October 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has excellent service The service at this hotel was excellent. The staff (concierge, front desk, cleaning personnel, club) went out of their way to help. The hotel is very nice with all the amenities and is beautiful. Great location too. September 30, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by What's with the sensors! This was the first time I had encountered the "sensored" snacks! If I hadn't looked at my bill I would have been charged for virtually everything on the little tray on top of the desk filled with overpriced water and snacks. Apparently, and I hadn't know this, if you pick something up, it charges you for it even if you didn't eat / drink it. Big brother. Can't the maids tell if something is gone? September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this hotel! This was our second stay at this hotel, and we were again reminded why we like it. We tried to check in 30 minutes after check-in time, but our room wasn't ready. So the desk clerk gave us access to the club, where we had soft drinks and hung out for about an hour and got some work done until they called us to tell us our room was ready. Room was on a corner of the club floor, which made it seem much larger than a normal room. We had a great view of the river. At check-IN the desk clerk noticed we are SPG Gold and asked if we would like a late (4:00 p.m.) checkout three days later, which is, in my experience, rare. That was wonderful, as we had a 6:00 p.m. flight home and it was so nice not to have to wait until the day of to find out whether we could remain in the room later or had to be out by the normal check-out time. Parking is exorbitant but likely on par with other Chicago hotels ($49 self park/day; $58 valet/day). All personnel we encountered were very friendly. Concierge had great pre-printed directions whereever we needed to go (South Bend, Gino's East, etc.) All in all, a great experience in a wonderfully located hotel, right on the river just a block off of Michigan Ave. We will return! Rated 4 out of 5 by So much for a romantic weekend getaway! I won a free 2 night stay at this hotel through my work so my husband and I were thrilled to use it as a "babymoon" getaway before our first child is born. When we checked in Friday night, it was a smooth process however we were told that there was only 1 King bedded room available in the whole hotel and it was a smaller room on a lower floor. Not wanting a double bedded room, we took the King Room. The room size was fine for what we needed but it was a little disappointing to look out out window and see a gravel roof and a building under construction, but oh well. The first night was great! The next morning we had a heck of a time trying to follow the signs to find the Bistro for breakfast but eventually found it. The waitress seemed less than thrilled to be at work that day but the food was good! Overpriced for french toast, but good! The Chicago Burger Company was delicious but again, terrible service! No personality from the servers and very slow just to get a pop! The second night of our stay was horrible! The bachelor party that checked into the room next to us was loud and obnoxious and extremely disruptive! They were drinking, shouting, slamming doors, and wrestling in the room. We could hear every word that was being screamed including a TON of profanity! We called Guest Services and were told they would be sending security up. After 1/2 hour and no signs of security, we called again only to be told that they had walked by and heard nothing that warranted a knock on the door. Which clearly demonstrated that they had not even walked by. You could clearly hear the noise from the hallway. They did eventually come up and just told them to be quiet but the security guard seemed more "buddy buddy" with them than authoritative. They did not quiet down but did eventually leave. They came back at 2am louder and drunker. Security was once again called and once again seemed more buddy buddy with them and just told them to quiet down, which they not. After an hour and a half of listening to them, they finally passed out and my husband and I were able to get back to sleep. 9am Sunday morning rolls around and we are awoken by more chatter and talking, thinking it was just passing people in the hallway, we ignored it for a few minutes but then realized it was coming from the air vents. It was other guests in their rooms talking and we could hear every word clearly! So much for sleeping in and relaxing. A few minutes later, the bachelor party woke up too and were right back to their screaming, wrestling, slamming doors, etc... I guess we were up! Very disappointed that this is how our romantic weekend was ending. As a pregnant woman, I will say that the stand up showers were nice to just be able to walk in, but not having a ledge to place my shampoo, soap, etc, was difficult when constantly needing to bend down to pick my things up off the floor in order to bathe. Lastly, when we checked out, there was no folio left for us, so we had to stand in the long line to check out and were not able to utilize the express check out service. Overall it was a great weekend but I left exhausted and very upset by the room and lack of "customer service" from restaurant staff and security. September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chicago Getaway We have never stayed at the Sheraton before but have always admired the hotel from across the river. This time we booked a last minute getaway for one night and thought we would give it a try. We typically get to downtown Chicago 3 -4 times per year and always try different hotels and restaurants. After staying at the Sheraton it will be our first choice from this point forward. Entire experience was great from check-in to exiting the hotel from the self-park area and this hotel has the most comfortable beds and pillows of any we have stayed at in recent past. Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed Our hotel stay was not up to our expectations. There was a hole in the room wall by the door, the room somehow smelled of stale smoke, the fluorescent lighting in the bathroom was very dim and flickering, and we found hair in the bathroom (tub & floor) upon entering the facilities. Unfortunately we had no time to change our room since we were part of a wedding party and the schedule was so tight. We have stayed in hotels at this price range before and have had much better experiences. I hope that the state of our hotel room was an isolated incidence. September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by September wedding in Chicago This location was wonderful, not far from the cathedral. We had a beautiful view of the river and the lake. Staff was very pleasant and genuine. We would stay here again ! September 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great location and views I have stayed at this hotel and location on a previous visit to Chicago. My partner liked it so much I surprised him with another stay. The location and view are the best. I spent over 3 hours just sitting in the hotel lobby and was just great with that. My only issues with this visit was I choose to go GREEN and the room service staff was not nice when it came to just getting more coffee and sugar for the room. But I will stay again September 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice facilities and staff I was there for a conference and the facilities were very nice and the staff was even nicer. Always appreciate friendly helpful staff. Keep it that way! September 28, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chicago Sheraton and Towers Great hotel and location excellent staff made same day reservation treated very well by everyone from doorman, registration and valet. September 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Picturesque location I had a wonderful view of the river, and took advantage of leisurely walks along the river, Navy Pier and nearby restaurants. The decor of the hotel is elegant and inviting. Staff were uniformly friendly and attentive. Incongruous elements in a hotel of this class were the tub spigot pulling out from the tub, a very loose towel rack, chipped and peeling paint at the bottom of the bathroom door, a distinctly musty shower curtain. At breakfast, the fried eggs had a background taste of fish. September 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic stay - can't wait to go back! One word sum-up: Fantastic! The location is excellent, the staff was great, the views were amazing, and the Club Lounge was incredible (and never crowded)! We've stayed at lots of nice hotels in the Chicago area and this is one of our top choices for sure. September 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay forTrue Value Fall Reunion 5 day Stay, Well Rested & Well Fed!! Shula's Steak House is the Best!!! September 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mix up The hotel had us registered for one night instead of two. Our room was not cleaned, coffee renewed or room service trays cleared. The hotel staff were great and apologized. I would still recommend this hotel. September 23, 2013
