As I was rushing to get ready for a meeting I realized there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room- delaying me about 15 minutes to get to where I needed to be. I found a dirty towel that was not mine under the bed that made me doubt the cleanliness of the entire room. As part of a conference, the catering staff was very accommodating.

Rated 5 out of 5 Sheraton Chicago - Greatest Hotel and Staff in all of Illinois!
The Sheraton staff continues to get better and better. Allison Watson is the greatest coordinator there is! Thank you for bringing her back. She made my job as an event planner very easy. The icing on the cake was working with the rest of the Sheraton team who assisted in pullinng off a very successful event with 750 attendees! GREAT JOB!!

We stayed at this hotel because of the great rate offered to Strictly Sail attendees. Proximity to Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. was terrific. Hotel staff was very helpful and accomondating. Rooms were very well appointed, clean and housekeeping was excellent! We will definately return to this hotel when visiting Chicago.

I am beginning to travel a lot for business and try to stay at SPG properties when possible. Generally I'm please, but not this time. The layout of this hotel for conference attendees is odd. It simply doesn't flow. And finding a decent meal or acceptable cup of coffee on-site? No. Room and bed was far below my other experience with SPG.

The meeting rooms, meals and overal ambiance was great! The concierge was very helpful. My room though lacked cleanliness, the drawers and pullout were very dusty, the bathroom smelled musty and clearly had not been detail cleaned recently. My comforter had stains on it and dirt on the edges. I was also charged for a snack I did not eat.

The Sherton commands an incredible location in central downtown Chicago - close to a Dominick's (Safeway) supermarket, banks, cafes, Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and more, and is only a 15 minute walk from Clark/Lake stop on Blue Line ('L'-train).
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and if you manage to get a room on the river side, the views are wonderful.
Aside from location and essential comforts, however, the Sheraton is very expensive for what you get. Breakfast is not included, the main bar does not host a manager's special/happy hour, all of the on-site restaurants are extremely expensive, wifi costs a minimum of $13.95/night. A block from the Sheraton, in contrast there are options which offer a fantastic included breakfasts and a comped happy hours, and costs less per evening.
This is a great venue for a conference because it is very large and attractive, but do not expect to leave without dropping a lot of money on each meal and luxury.

I wish I knew what brand of mattress you use because I have never had such a perfect bed in any other Hotel chain I have visited. The room was great with a great view of the river and lake. The only concern I had was the room needed to be deep cleaned. The surfaces were clean but the walls, ceilings, nooks and crannies had lots of dust.

Pleasant stay at the Sheraton. As a Platinum, I was upgraded to a beautiful suite with 2 bathrooms, living room, dining area and kitchen. Location of hotel is excellent. Valet parking a bit slow, just plan to call 15-30 minutes prior to arrange for your car. Will definitely stay here again. Shula's is a bit expensive, but well worth it.

clean hotel but understaffed and just unorganized. Food needs to be fresher, hair conditioner should be already in the room, I shouldn't have to ask for it and be clearer about the no service option.

We wanted to use our suite night upgrades, but since the hotel was sold out we could not redeem them. We had booked a traditional room using cash and points and we were upgraded to a deluxe room with a view of the city on one side and Lake Michigan on the other side. The staff was very attentive and our room was wonderfully unexpected.

The staff here are all very friendly and beyond helpful and the hotel location was excellenct!
The room was just okay. The temperature in the room was unstable at best. The bathroom seemed like it had not been cleaned or not cleaned well before we checked in. On the upside, the bed was comfortable. For the most part I enjoyed my stay.

All the staff were very friendly except for my dealings with the front desk. The person who checked me in did not smile. When my key became demagnetized, (I had stored in next to my cell phone), I was made to feel stupid when I went to get a new one. The only person who smiled at me was on check out. Maybe they were glad I was leaving?

Great downtown location and room/bed very comfortable. However, as an SPG Gold member my wife and I always enjoyed the 2 20oz bottled water we've always received at other Sheraton's. I thought that the food vending and stocked fridge with overpriced itmes was unnecessary and should be eliminated from the amenities of this luxury room.

The hotel staff were very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of many attractions in the downtown Chicago area.

We booked 3 rooms in January for a stay in June..did not receive rooms on same floor as expected upon arrival. They moved us on day 2, an inconvenience for sure. Upon checkout 2 rooms had a credit balance which still has not shown on my credit card, but the 3rd room with a balance due has already been charged..i don't understand this.

I had such a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment during my stay with your hotel until we went to the gala dinner. The waitress was rude and impatient. Although we understand this is a quite large event to manage, a bit smile on the face and a responsive answer could make a huge difference. It was clear that the waitress was not happy to come to work to begin with. There was no smile from the beginning. When we simply asked for hot tea, she seemed distrubed by this request and it took 5-6 follow ups to make this happen. It was unbelievable how rude she was during this period, she would cut off you when you were trying to friendly remind her and eventually threw the tea pot to the table and left without even asking everyone who would like to have the tea. I was shocked and quite disappointed. I hope this is one instance off and Sheraton will be able to show that not only it can serve all guests well but also it can handle big events like this well.

This property has an awesome location, secluded enough, but close enough to the heart and vibe of the city.
Service was excellent from the moment of arrival.
SPG recognition was first class. Received automatic upgrade to Club level. Room on the 31st floor, Corner room, awesome view.
SPG is the best program.
Ask and you shall receive.

This hotel was horrible. The room was subpar compared to cheaper hotels in the evening. The room was bare and the everything in the room was cheap. Costs were cut everywhere, leaving an understaffed hotel. They didn't even refill shampoo/conditioner! This is not what you expect from an expensive hotel. I would never stay here again.

These was my second stay at the hotel. First the room was bigger then my first stay and I was so delighted. Second I had a great view to my left I had the lake and to my right was the river ,how cool is that. In my stay I was issued coupons for the bistro brunch and food and service was good. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The staff was incredible, however, I had an incident with the front desk manager basically accusing me (a gold member) of being a liar) after spending nearly $2000 in the hotel and I was only disputing a $36 charge from a restaurant. We were given Sheraton vouchers for a convention that I was attending with my family while the club level was being renovated. The manager basically came out and said that the hotel knows nothing of this and that I was responsible for those charges. I told him that he could've easily verified what I was saying with ANY of the staff from the restaurant. There was over 8000 people at the conference and about 10% of them were using the vouchers in the restaurant, but he told me that it was impossible and that the convention must have set that up. However, I know what my voucher said and it was DEFINITELY a Sheraton voucher. Needless to say, I really didn't appreciate the insinuation that I was lying. It was extremely insulting.

Close to the navy pier yet walking distance of the mag mile too. Concierge desk was wondeful--Paula was a great help. THey also have a shuttle to the Horseshoe casino in Hammond, IN. From our window we could see the various tour boats ride by. Yet this hotel is quiet and not noisy at all. Everyone was so friendly and professional.

This hotel is in the perfect location with a fantasic view of the river. They were friendly and offered us a free upgrade without us asking. Allowed early check in as well. Easy check out.

Check in was terrible. Was told room would be ready at 3pm. Went to front desk at 4pm and still not ready. They were going to have me keep waiting for room until I told them I would not, I was told 3pm so finally found me a different room. Key and tv did not work in room when got there. Twice during stay room key would not work.

Good AV equipment, 2 screens.
Nice bar set-up easy to find people.
Easy access for our off site visit.
My second visit with in 30 days , both
good travel experiences. Front door guys are great!

The hotel is located in a very convenient central Chicago location. All the sites are easily accessible. Customer service, however, was severely lacking. I called different service areas several times at different times of the day and no one answered. Also, to have rooms made up so late (4 p.m.) in the afternoon is problematic.

From the moment I arrived I felt special. The staff was super nice and very helpful. My room had a great view , was very comfortable and clean. We had a great time in the bar area and a excellent breakfast. The location was great for shopping, dining and site seeing. I have stayed in the past and I can not wait to return again.

I had a 1 bedroom suite. On your website it states, "...our one-bedroom, two-bath suites are ideal..." My 1 bedroom suite only had 1 bath and it was not a bath tub, it was a shower. The website also states, "...also equipped with a queen-size Sico® Murphy bed." What we got was a sofa bed but the metal frame of the sofa bed was broken so you had to give me a roll away bed last minute. This was an inconvenient issue at the end of the night to have to deal with. Also the room did not have an extra set of linens for the broken sofa bed. When I called it took 30 minutes and two visits by your staff before you could resolve the problem. First you only brought pillows because you were "out of" fresh linens. I had to call twice to resolve this problem. I only stayed one night yet I found myself without enough towels. My family of 3, but you only had enough shower towels for 2. Between the lack of a set of linens for the sofa bed, not knowing the sofa bed was broken, and the lack of enough towels, this room did not appear to have been properly turned over.

The best thing about my stay here was the bedding. I couldn't believe they didn't offer free Wi Fi. McDonalds offer free Internet service. The staff cleaned my room but there were trays left out in the hallway for 3 days. Drunken guest were allowed to sit in the lobby with beer cases on top of tables. Just an awful experience.

We stayed here for a family trip to Chicago. Hotel was easy to find and centrally located to the attractions we wanted to visit. The hotel staff was awesome! They were very helpful with giving us directions around town. Room was a little smaller than expected but beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. Walking distance to most major attractions downtown. You may need to take a taxi to any one of the CTA subway stops, however. Nice, spacious rooms with views of Lake Michigan. Friendly staff, great SPG program recognition, and all around great service. I would recommend this hotel.
