Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved the location and ambience of this hotel. I stayed at this hotel for four nights for a conference in a neighboring hotel. It felt like a home away from home with the club lounge open and welcoming at the beginning and end of each day. Rvery staff member was friendly and eager to be of service, from reception to the lounge staff. Exercise facilities were great and the location superb. Fun walk across the river each day for the conference. June 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs improvement Shower did not drain stood in water, had to manually hold drain open. asked for extra coffee creamers to be left in room, did not happen. Told by registration desk that emailed bill would be final no need to stand in line to check out (confirmed this night before departure). Reviewed bill saw no balance due assumed it was final. My staff was not aware of what I had been told,stood in line to check out were told that 115.00 was due on each room. I would recommend staff education, so at least every guest is told the same thing. November 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointing Service level fits a much less expensive hotel. Large, convention hotel yet the 2 restaurants are an overpriced steakhouse and a small hamburger cafeteria. FOX News - yes; MSNBC-no. Always a turn-off. The room was dark and the bathroom lighting was weak as well. My final invoice listed a higher nightly rate than my confirmation. Was anything terrible? Rated 2 out of 5 by Mediocre at best I was disappointed by my stay in this hotel. For the name Sheraton and the price I paid, I would expect my towels to be softer than sandpaper and bedding not to make plastic noise. I also didn't enjoy hearing my neighbors every conversation. I chose to "go green", but had to personally request the voucher every day because the staff forgot to deliver it. The view was nice. November 1, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by A great place to stay! This is one of my favorite Sheratons. I actually live in the area but always plan at least one weekend getaway each year to stay here. The location is great, very near shopping and dining and right on the river with beautiful views of the city and lakefront. Rooms are a bit small but well appointed and fresh looking. Staff very friendly and attentive. September 18, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Conference follow up I stayed at the hotel while attending a large conference at their conference center. The conference staff was excellent and the event ran smoothly. The rest of the hotel, however, seemed ill equipped to handle the volume of people present. The restaurants did not have food available to meet the capacity of demand during the short lunches. There were multiple issues with housekeeping in the rooms. Since this hotel IS advertised as a conference center, I would recommend bringing the hotel staff in line with the excellence of service provided at the conference center. November 3, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Check in expeerience ever For the last 30 years I have been booking blocks of rooms (at least 5) at least once and sometimes twice a year. When I checked in this time, the agent and manager gave me two options. 1) I can stay in the room they give me but I will need to move tomorrow or 2) They can get me a room at another hotel. My loyalty meant absolutely nothing. March 15, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by GirlsWeekend Although the hotel lobby was very well presented, our room had some issues that would deter me from staying here a second time. The bathroom toilet was not flushing appropriately and we actually fixed this ourselves while there. And also, there was extensive mold in the bathroom shower, around tiles and top of tub. Rated 5 out of 5 by February 2013 Arrived at hotel in the midst of a snow & ice storm and loved the heaters out front to warm you as you were going in & out of the hotel. Check in was simple & easy no long lines, my room was newly renovated on the club level; loved the big bathroom. A girl has to have space. Our meeting space was great and quite so business was conducted without interruption. Service in the Bistro, Shula's and lobby bar was very good. Our server at the lobby bar has been with the hotel for 20+ yrs. and was quite a delight to talk with. Suzanne at the Concerige desk was a dream, she helped us with dinner reservation we shouldn't have been able to get as it was Food Week. She recommended a tour of the town that turned about to be fantastic. She gave me great suggestions for when we have a conference there next year. This was my 2nd time to stay at this hotel and both have been very enjoyable. The location is perfect to shopping, dinning, the Navy Pier and much more. February 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A hotel room without light switches!? The stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. I particularly liked the option of not having room service in exchange for a voucher. This allows for more privacy. The negative was the fact that there are no light switches in the room. There is a switch right at the entrance (for a fairly dim light). After that you have to walk all the way to the bed to find the table lamps with switches at the base of the lamps. Very odd. Furthermore, the lights cannot be turned on and off with the electronic key, which would be very convenient. November 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location The hotel is in a great location for visiting the Magnificent Mile. Clean and quiet. Within walking distance to many activities and restaurants. The only thing we found that needed improvement was the restaurant for breakfast. Expensive, food cold and toast was just bread. The service was not very good, didn't get asked for a refill for coffee until we were ready to leave. The fact that if you even so much as knock over the snacks in your room you will be charged for them is a little ridiculous. We picked up to read the ingredients and then called the front desk to make sure we wouldn't be charged and they removed the charge from our account. August 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Hotel, Great Staff This hotel was horrible. The room was subpar compared to cheaper hotels in the evening. The room was bare and the everything in the room was cheap. Costs were cut everywhere, leaving an understaffed hotel. They didn't even refill shampoo/conditioner! This is not what you expect from an expensive hotel. I would never stay here again. June 1, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Broken plumbing; poorly trained staff Bah! Huge disappointment. Only good comment is for the courteous and professional conduct of the fellow that delivered my one and only room service order. I am sure he wasn’t responsible for the grimy tableware. I couldn’t believe it when I discovered the toilet was not bolted to the floor. I will not go back to this hotel. November 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Staff As a Senior traveling with daughter and 10 year old grandson, I could not have been happier with the friendliness, warmth, and helpfulness of your bellmen/reception/checkout staff. They treated all of us with respect and kindness and were warm and fun in responding to my grandson. Kudos to you for your customer service!!!!! April 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel is a huge dissapointent Hotel is average in comfort and cleanliness but service is horrible. Ordered coffee @ 6:30 am received @8:00 when i was leaving for conference. Called room service for a wine key in the afternoon waited over an hour two calls later went to the front desk and finally someone brought one to my room. Remote was not working had to wait over an hour to have a new one brought to the room. Staff did not seem to care from the bar to room service. I would expect to pay about 100.00 per night for this kind of hotel. very dissapointing. December 7, 2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by Reason I don't stay at USA Sheraton Hotels The worst experience at a Starwood hotel, ever! Although my check in was good, my two other guest arrivals were terrible. 2 1/2 hiurs check in after 5:00pm with no rooms ready to access was terrible. Charles MOD did the best he could but your late check out of 4:00pm with a convention in house is unadvisable. March 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel, one issue. The hotel is beautiful, the only problem was my room had a very strange odor. I did mention it to the front desk and they did offer to move me, but I had already unpacked, etc. ( a lot of stuff for a 4 day conference) so I decided to stay. Never could get used to the smell. Staff was great, prices were pretty high for everything including parking. Coffee everywhere at this hotel is VERY STRONG! November 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Why make a reservation? Requested reservation of 2 beds not available despite hotel's 2 econfirming e-mails. Excruciatingly slow check in. Promised roll away bed never delivered. Freezing cold dusty room with one kleenex tissue propped on top of empty box. Check-out so slow I just left. Never again! U have my permission to publish. February 18, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs work For the price of $199.99 a night I would have thought I would of had a better experience. -The comforter smelled -The drain in the shower was plugged -No room service menu -When I went to front desk to request one, I was told will be delivered in 15 min. to my room. 45 min. later I received it. - November 4, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Responsive Staff I wish to thank the entire staff at the hotel for a wonderful stay. Each and every person I interacted with was very pleasant and cordial (from the housekeeping, concierge, right through to the front desk). I especially want to note the understanding with respect to my last minute reservation changes due to a cancelled flight late in the evening. My reservation was secured in spite of conditions beyond my control. It's such understanding and flexibility offered by the hotel that will ensure next time I'm in Chicago, I will book the Towers hotel. Thank you for a great stay. Rated 2 out of 5 by No Newspaper I'm not sure what it is with me but, the Sheraton in Chicago, no one can seem to deliver newspapers to the room. I know I'm talking about something as trivial as the newspaper, but when you have an expectation and the expectation is not met day after day, it is very disappointing. I was very specific upon check-in about having the newspaper delivered to my room. (I work in advertising, so it is very important I see how my work runs in the morning paper.) First morning, no newspaper - I went to the lobby to inquire with the same person who checked me and I received the following answer, "It is in the system." And my response was the same - "You seem to have a problem moving from the system to actually delivery." The second morning, to my MUCH AMAZEMENT - NO NEWSPAPER. Shame on me for the first time, but shame on your for the second time. It is unacceptable, especially as a Platinum SPG member. Once again, "I don't understand why it wasn't delivered." My response - "Neither do I." I will give it one more chance. April 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A good experience We were there on end of March which was a good Friday, holiday weekend. The hotel was very busy but I found out the stuff are very patient and nice. They can identify guests need and try their best to prepare for guests. This is one of the best Sheraton I stayed in US. April 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 This Hotel Was not Great We were told the hotel was within walking distance of the event we were in town for. It was not, so we incurred about $50 in taxi fees. Also, the maid started cleaning before we checked out and used one of our carry on bags as a garbage can. Thus, we had no bag for personal items and had to incur an extra baggage charge because we had to check another bag. We chose to save $5 by not using housekeeping but than when we used the coupon were told no change would be given so in reality we only saved $3. November 11, 2014
