Rated 5 out of 5 by BostonPhil Excellent getaway with a view!
I travel often and very rarely have had such a nice stay at a hotel. The room was comfortable and had an excellent view of the river/lake (had one of the King Club Suites).
The breakfast (which comes with the club suites), was pleasant, and the waitstaff was extremely friendly.
I booked through the Sheraton website and was able to get an excellent rate for the evening, which even came with free over-night parking.
I'd suggest this hotel to anyone visiting the Chicago area.

I selected this hotel because of the wifi. It did not work in my room. technical service could not fixed. It was not also working on my phone neither. Im ended working in the lobby.
the heating hummed everytime you turned on. It waked me up everytime it kicked on.
the TV satellite delayed about 3-4 minutes before the signal kicking in.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jimmy First impression is very important!
Dad and I alway stay at this hotel when we visit Chicago as part of our Christmas tradition. This review is for the day on Dec 26, 2011.
At the check-in process, at the front desk, there were 5 staff waiting on the regular guests and ony ONE waiting the golds and plats SPG member line. I waited almost 20 minutes before I asked to speak for the front desk manager to speed up the elite SPG member line.
The five staff waiting on the regular guest lines definitely saw us, and none of them made any efforts to either wave us to their line or ask the front desk manager for more wait staff to our line. Treat your most loyal customer well or they will remember and turn to other hotel chains.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ryan50312 Terrible Stay
I am not overly picky and don't normally write reviews. This hotel is so far from the standard they claim to be that it should be a Days Inn. Our room had mold in the shower and feces on the toilet seat. One may be caused by an oversight, but the mold just shows weeks of neglect and no one caring enough to fix it. Gym equipment was broken, area was neglected, and things weren't stocked.
Is this picky? Yes, if the room was $50 a night. When it is a few hundred, you are not getting what you expect. I have yet to hear from anyone at this hotel even after multiple attempts. Stay elsewhere if you have even medium levels of expectation of quality and cleanliness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jimmy Some improvements but....
This review is for our stay on December 28, 2011.
As per previous review, the GM of hotel did offer to speak to us after the terrible waiting for all golds and plats guests in the check-in line on Dec 26th, 2011.
Our room is small, one of the smallest that I ever received in this hotel. Likely due to the fact that I complained for the terrible long wait. when we checked in.
The upgrade is near to nothing, as per an upgrade for a plats member.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MMK8317 Great Hotel for a Conference!
The hotel staff far exceeded my service expectations. I stayed at this hotel last weekend for a conference. The staff recognized that my membership had lapsed and reactivated it. I know where I will be staying next time I am in Chicago.

Staff goes out of their way to treat loyal guests like their business really means something. Wonderful trip started out with Adam at the front desk. Going out of his way to make sure I felt special. Renee in the Club room was also a treat. The club room was very nice A++ service. This will definatly be my hotel of choice everytime I am in Chicago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by devin85 Good stay, frustrating business
Hotel and staff are overall wonderful. Its frustrating to be charged for wi-fi as a SPG and when you pay for it, it still doesn't allow vpn. I chose to stay with starwood hotels because they are consistent and near my office locations, but the inability to vpn from this one left something to be desired. Emailed staff re. canceling wifi order but haven't heard back yet.
