Stayed several times in this hotel which has all the facilities that may think of. But in detail things fall behind expectations. To mention some: In the area of bathroom the cleanness could be better, some fittings tend to be broken (door lock, shower knobs).
And especially internet speed is very slow.

The Shanghai Sheraton PuDong is always my first choice when my business brings me back to Shanghai. The location, facilities, great staff and competitive prices have consistently provided me with an excellent home away from home since my first stay back in 2007. I continue to return whenever my travels take me to shanghai.

I stayed here in 2014 as a gold member and paid for the room, which was on very high floor (30ish) and very nice. I stayed here again in May as a platinum member and paid it with a cash/point combination. The "upgraded" room was on the 12th ------ it was TERRIBLE; tables/chairs were broken or worn; and it was not clean. Request a regular room on a higher floor, which will be much better.

This is my hands-down favorite hotel in Pudong. In 25 trips to Pudong, the hotel has been my automatic home-from-home. Everything about the hotel breathes excellence (except perhaps dinner which is a notch down). As well as the responsiveness of staff (always a key element), the location is great - the subway entrance for Tangqiao station (Line 4 - Purple line) is right outside the front door, and the hotel is short taxi ride from the Maglev train from the airport.

The room is good. Quite big. I have a nice sleep. The bathroom is big too. But the bathing pool is so dirty that I can't even try to use. Some details like free-smoking card is too old. The most unacceptable part of this hotel is the attitude of waitress. Terrible experience. I'm the coorpate preferred guest but the waitress refused to enhance my room. So terrible!

Placed an order for in-room dining at 9PM that DID NOT arrive AT ALL. Called at 945PM to check on order and nobody have the courtesy to update nor return my second call. Third call at 10:15PM to cancel order and requested investigation to reprimand all those involve for such poor standard of service not to mention poor standard of English. Desite placing order a different order at 10:15PM, food did not arrive as I am writing this at 11PM. Worst Sheraton experience ever.

Should avoid this propoerty if they are hosting a big group. Most of the staff have a massive attitude problem. They behave like you owe them a living. Went to conceirge to ask for recommendations for a chinese restaurant. Was asked to go to the mall next door. When I went there, there was only 1 restaurant located on the 4th floor and difficult to locate. When asked for further information, was given the guide book to look at and decide for myself.
When to the restaurant next morning for breakfast. When ask for cutlery was asked to go and get myself. At check-out receptionist was extremely irritable.

The room was very nice and comfortable, I loved the bathroom and the bed.
The restaurant experience was very bad, bad quality of food, terrible service.
I spoke to one of the staff at the reception and the Guest Service Manager and they were attentive and found an alternative option for me after the terrible breakfast buffet experience.
Overall, a beautiful and comfortable hotel that needs to improve its F&B services
