Rated 5 out of 5 by Definetly One Of The Top 3 Starwood In China This hotel is probably the most opulent and even outrageously luxurious that I've been to in China. The entire hotel is gold. Gold everything. The rooms are done up in an over the top "European" style. As a Gold member with about 25 stays this year, I booked with SPG points and was graciously upgraded to a premier room with an amazing river view. There are 2 flat screen tv's in the room, several couches, and the bathroom is as big as some people's apartments. The pool and workout area are beyond my expectations. One of the managers, Paul, even remembered my name and gave excellent and personalized service. Seriously, if you are in Chongqing, do not stay elsewhere. You'll be amazed. August 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mr Lam A good location for business and leisure traveler. Great hotel facilities with a superb indoor pool. Well selected F & B outlet Friendly and well-trained staff in all division (prompt follow up action with solution suggested while problems occurred) Superb comfortable bedding and linen. However, guest room and hotel maintenance is my only concern. I found serval problem in my (xx10) rooms during my stayed. The beautiful sliding door can"t move, TV image is unclear, shower water-tap is not working properly, wardrobe metal stick is broken etc. Reported to the hotel staff immediately with prompt and professional follow-up action. I Will come back to stay at this hotel for sure in the future. Recommended hotel management to focus more on the room maintenance area and rooms check-up before guest check-in the rooms. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel in the middle of nothing The Hotel is absolutely wonderful as you can expect from a Sheraton, but the location is not happy. For everything you need to take a Taxi. Worst thing, in my opinion, was the "international" restaurant, where the only western thing I found was the fork. Most of the offer is Chinese food; the only not Chinese was the meat, but I asked one thing, I received a different one. I Asked "no spicy", I received Spicy! Nice content, service to be improved. The only thing felt uneasy was that the entire hotel was so empty, with very few guests in this cold season. Perhaps Sheraton should cut the price a little bit to attract more guest to fill the emptiness. February 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad Attitudes, Insulting Service, False Advertising Booked a Suite with Business Floor Access as advertised on hotel website.. No Executive Floor Facilities as advertised on booking page Refused Credit Card as they use BOA China No Spa No Hairdressers Swimming Pool safety barrier is plastic and I slipped and fell on floor when trying to use this to help me. No attention to detial.. Plants not watered in Swimming Pool area for at least 1 week... even after reported still not watered Room Service.. Room Service guy demanded I pay in cash.. could not sign to room 2nd Room Service .. also demanded cash only No Hotel Directory in room, just low level printed room service menu Chinese waitress refused to serve me Caffe Latte in breakfast restaurant Refused room service of Tea and biscuits Conceirge gave bad directions to Cable car... No Hotel map of local area Evening Fire Alarm... on way to evacuate... House keeping told us False Alarm.. even Chinese guests pissed off.. Especially when you are walking down from 22 or 48 floor.. Sauna Room broken, not working Whirlpool Broken, not working Shower, no water from all 4 shower heads in changing rooms.. Explained all of above to Hotel Manager Randall Tang... after 3 days none of the above were addressed or facilities improved.. Hotel Manger promised a compensation package and then 10minutes later rang room and changed agreed package to and insult.. explaining that he has to keep the hotel accountant happy... If you only speak English ... good luck... must speak Chinese to get staff to understand your requests which will be refused everytime... Only good thing is Restaurant Manager who tries best to give good service.. Indian Chef all cooks good indian food.. Worst hotel I have stayed in since being a Starwood member since 2005 February 11, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by After my fourth or fifth time since October You have a reputable name and an address with a view, but your rooms are overpriced, your food is moderate at best, and overpriced. Your cocktails are extremely overpriced, I went to the pool at 9:30 PM and was locked up. I tried one of your massages, for $100 I might add, and I can get a better besides sheer in Los Angeles for $30. Checking out? I bought cars quicker than checking out of your hotel. Wide-awake stay there? Because it's literally next door to where my offices. But in the future I will stay an equally nice or nicer hotel and pay the taxi fare. Also, the Appian's of your establishment reminds me of a funeral home. No one there, nothing going on, no real entertainment, a real dead spot and not within walking distance to anything that might have a little more pizzazz. I am my colleagues is spent thousands of dollars there in the last few months. The staff is pleasant and respectful, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. August 18, 2013
