Rated 4 out of 5 by Couple of issues The internet connection speed is terrible. This must be upgraded if you plan to be a serious business hotel in the Augusta area. The lack of a breakfast buffet is also a downside for me - I like to grab and go. The restaurant service was much too slow and leisurely when you need to head out the door to a meeting! The room temperature seemed to be warm or blowing cold air - trying to get a nice moderate temp. could not be done. February 22, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Clean Comfortable and Inviting What an enjoyable three days I spent at the Sheraton in Augusta, GA. Everything, from the room, it's amenities, the food and the friendly, upbeat hospitality of the staff was great. My only suggestion is that the kitchen obtain "fresh" avocados to slice over it's dishes. While this isn't a deterrent from staying at the Sheraton, it would be a plus for the overall dining experience. Otherwise, I look forward to my next visit. February 2, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Check your bill My company has direct bill and I always confirm upon check in and when I go to check out it is never done correctly. Therefore I have to wait for things to get reversed and corrected. So I know when I stay at this hotel to plan extra time to check out. January 24, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs some improvement Overall the hotel is clean and comfortable and is a good place to stay when on business. My issue is that when I mad a reservation for a room and requested a room on the club floor I was told that it was all set. I am a platinum member with over 60 nights last year. When arriving at the hotel I was put on the floor below. This has happened several times and most recently has happened on back to back stays. Given work scheduels and such, there is more of an inconvenience of having to go up and down elevators in the morning for breakfast or even a quick soda. I would not complain, but after being told I was on the floor and then arriving found out I was not was a bit unsettling. I am starting to reconsider my commitment to SPG since there are several new hotels in the immediate vicinity at a comparable rate I can stay at. January 22, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by A REFRESHING CHANGE After a poor experience at a competitive hotel brand down the street (where I am a platinum member and vacation club owner), the Sheraton was highly recommended to me by several co-workers in Augusta. I travel to Augusta twice a month for business with the hospitals in town. As a female business traveler, safety, comfort, cleanliness are extremely important to me and I like an upscale atmosphere. Well, the Sheraton offered it all. With the exception of check-in - where there was a long line and only one person to process in the new guests, everything about the hotel was great. The room was clean and provided a more than adequate working area. The bathroom was immaculate and I really appreciated the toiletry items especially the shower scrungie, the bed was very comfortable and room service and the food were superb! Later this month, I will be traveling with my Regional Manager and have convinced him to forgo his stay at the competitive hotel and give this Sheraton a try. I hope Sheraton doesn't disappoint! As for me, I intend to be a regular guest! Thank you for a great stay! January 12, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stay I use this hotel on a regular basis. I enjoy the features available but a few improvements could make my stay more enjoyable. The bar snacks need to improve as well as the food in the club lounge. Also the beds in the hotel are not as comfortable as those in other Sheratons. January 7, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs improvement For the price I paid I was expecting much more. The comforter and sheets had coffee spilled on them. The mattress was very uncomfortable also. The door leading into the hotel was very difficult to get in with my key card. It left me stuck outside in the rain multiple times. I am usually not one to complain but I felt like I needed to because of my bad experience. December 28, 2012

Kayla is probably the most active and driven server I have met. 70+ nights in hotels and eating out, but I notice when someone is exceptional. Kayla IS exceptional. Thanks again. Food is great! Restaurant was fast and pretty good, although a little pricey. Everything was as close to perfect as you could get! Would definitely stay there, again! Close to I-20.Thanks! December 19, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel Hotel overall was very nice. Wish that they had something in the room to tell you where to locate vending, primarily ice machines. Some floor have washers and dryers which I thought was a great feature. Billing was set up to be direct billed through my company and I confirmed that at check in but gave my credit card for incidentals. My credit card was charged for the room rather than direct billed and I have spent 3 days trying to get this corrected. I have left 3 messages to the same person and have not received a call back and this is who they transfer me to when I ask to speak to someone in accounting. When you come into the location at night very confusing for parking as to who's parking lot is for which hotel. Not much signage December 5, 2012

For the 10$/person your best bet is to skip the breakfast and eat next door at the Waffle House for much less. we had over 15 rooms reserved for the team yet when we wanted to use a room for a celebration dinner, they we not as accomadating. Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel was great Everything was great about this hotel except we asked for an ajoining room and the second room was a handicapped space. Very short & small closet and the seat took up most of the shower and we were not told in advance that it was a handicap room. That wouldn't deter me from staying there again. I believe it's fairly new, but I did stay at this property in 2010 and was very happy then, that's why I returned. (11/22-24/12) November 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 UNMATCHED Sheraton Augusta is unmatched among all other hotels in the Augusta area. Its cleanliness and services provided by its staff are impeccable. The hotel amenities are state of the art and its provision of overall comfort is unmatched. The only downside of my stay is that the staff never provide me with a complimentary upgrade when they have a low occupancy rate; I really look forward to this courtesy during my next stay. Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I had never stayed at a Sheraton before and I travel a lot for work. I was impressed when I first drove up to the hotel. Buyer beware to only schedule only one night because if you reserve more than one night and are unhappy with the hotel/room, they will not let you cancel the subsequent nights in spite of being unhappy. They are not concerned about customer satisfaction. It was my fault for not carefully checking room amenities. I had to drive from Texas for a family event and wanted to make the weekend special for my two young daughters. I didn't realize the room didn't have a mini-fridge, a microwave for pay movies. Rated 1 out of 5 by Incredibly Disappointed I booked the hotel through our corporate travel (Confirmation Number: C785438690) and I was very disappointed to find that my room was no longer available when I arrived at 10:30pm. The front desk clerk told me that I did not have a credit card on file (which is untrue, since we always use our corporate credit card to make reservations when booking travel) and that they couldn't get a hold of me so they gave away my room. She also said that this policy was on the hotel website (I checked and I must be looking at the wrong place because I couldn't find it on the site). After a delayed inbound flight and a long travel day, I did not have enough energy to be irate so I just went to another hotel. This is the first time in my travels that I experienced my room being given away even with a confirmed reservation. November 14, 2012

Our 2-Queen guestroom was very large in comparison to other hotels we've stayed in while traveling to Augusta. We traveled with two children and there was enough space for everyone! The room was very clean, the beds comfy and the staff was very nice! We'll be back! November 7, 2012
