Rated 3 out of 5 by Not exactly as expected... We selected this SPG property for "airport proximity" the night before an international flight. We're loyal SPG members and really look for the GOOD in any property in which we stay. HOWEVER...this one was NOT a good choice. The "Club Lounge" was completely VOID of snacks/drinks/food...not even so much as a bottle of water...AND it was not well cleaned. (Crumbs and remnants of whatever they served for the few hours they served it - on the floor and counters). The restaurant had EXTREMELY limited hours of operation, and we had to walk to get to a meal. If you just need a place to sleep coming in or out of IAD - fine. If you need amenities, there are other SPG properties in the area which may be a better choice. September 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very friendly and helpful staff The staff at the reservation desk were very helpful and kind. The hotel is also in close proximity to Dulles Airport, so I would recommend it. My only suggestion is that the club lounge needs improvement. The lounge is right by the elevators and is small. It gets overcrowded at times, particularly during the breakfast, so it needs more room. The evening appetizers were hot and good, but I have seen other Sheraton Club Lounges with much superior evening appetizers. August 15, 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by Check your Bill TWICE The hotel is OK and morning breakfast was OK not that great. The staff got my Bill wrong charged me 2 days extra when I have asked them to check again they said it was correct. When I started to explaining they were arguing and were not ready to listen that's when I had to pull up my reservation and asked them to check that reservation. Never going back for sure. Rated 3 out of 5 by Going down hill I've been staying at this hotel almost monthly for years. Over the last year the quality has declined. During this last trip I was on the club floor but missing some basic amenities. I had 1 bar of soap and no shower gel, 1 washcloth and no bathroom rug. I asked at the front desk and then next day I had a few more items but still not what was expected. When I ran out of kleenex the staff only took the empty box when cleaning my room. They did not provide more kleenex. There is not enough staff in the restaurant so I often experience long waits and cold food. I almost never eat there anymore. There also seems to be a great deal of staff turnover. All of this did not used to be my experience but it has become more common. April 10, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Guilles Staff was friendly, facilities were okay, but: 1) I had to ask twice for a replacement for a broken iron 2) Broken iron was replaced with another broken iron 3) Instead of bringing me working iron after the second broken iron the head housekeeper came to make sure I didn't know how to plug the iron into the wall. 4) The shades in the room are very difficult use or did not function correctly 5) I made sure I checked out at the front desk so I could get a receipt of my stay, they said they would send it, and they did not send it. Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disappointing stay I've had mostly great experiences with all Starwood properties that I've stayed at and much of that has to do with the staff and how they treat their guests with status. I typically stay about 50 nights per year in the Starwood Family. The TV controller in my room was broken and the problem remained unresolved throughout my entire stay. The maintenance staff had to be dispatched twice (they never showed up the first time) and once they were unsuccessful at fixing my problem, they never returned or followed up despite their promise that they were "going to go downstairs to resolve the issue". I understand that things break and I'm a very easy traveler but when someone on the staff says they will do something, and just completely flakes, it is upsetting. My quick stay at a known hotel chain turned into a sour experience. They can do better. February 28, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by In Need of a Little TLC First and foremost, this is an airport hotel. So, it's primary function is to provide a place to sleep. In this respect, the hotel was fine. The facilities are extremely outdated. And, the club lounge was far below standard. The front desk staff were also on their cell phones more than servign customers. So, there's a lot of room for improvement. But, it is still better than the Aloft. January 1, 2016
