Rated 4 out of 5 by Amie1 Geat location!
The hotel is well situated if you are visiting the region, especially Stanford campus. It is at a walking distance from several good restaurants. It is just far enough for a nice walk to build up an appetite and then shed some of the calories after a scrumptious ethnic food…

Rated 5 out of 5 Sarah is exceptional
In a very trying time, family at Stanford hospital, Sarah helped ease the stress by going above and beyond in arranging a room for us and welcoming us. I cannot thank her enough. The room was quiet and the restaurant staff were very attentive.
I will stay again thanks to Sarah.

Rated 5 out of 5 by soosh I loved staying here
The location is excellent: easy access to downtown PA and Stanford and to hiking, biking and walking/funning trails.
The grounds are beautiful and the bed-linen and pillows are a dream. Free bottled water and in-room coffee and tea service add to the pleasure of this place.

Interior design of the hotel facilities and especially the rooms are outdated. Carpet and furnishings are much too dark. Furniture seemed a bit warn.
A hotel of this ostensible repute should not charge Starwood members for internet. Outrageous.
Self parking is a hassle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jayhawk1 Worst experience in a club room anywhere
Clubroom attendant was extremely rude.
The hotel management did a good job of addressing the problem, but hard feelings still linger.
I will return to this hotel, but expect a much better club room experience.
Will wait until that time to recommend Sheraton Palo Alto.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Martin77 Needs refurbishing
This is the hotel where I always stay when I go to Palo Alto but I am increasingly more frustrated by it. The rooms badly need refurbishing (they feel very "tired" and cheap) and the service is not great - the front desk staff is not very knowledgeable and helpful.

I was lucky for having chances for booking the Hotel. At first there was no room available for that time. So my friend let me know the availability. Why don't you accept alarming system to the guests for the availability of setting time especially promoted rate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Martha1500 Great place to stay!
A pleasant experience as always at Sheraton Palo Alto. Employees are very friendly and professional. Always a smile and recognition to guests. Go Green program very confusing to us and we would not participate again. We do not feel pool toys should be allowed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rabbit60 If you want to sleep at night stay elsewhere
Room 3031 is 2 doors from the lift hence the room suffers from noise due to inconsiderate guests entering and exiting the lifts and even when the guests are quiet all you can hear is the whir and operation of the lifts, which once you're awake keep you awake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pipino90 Great Location, average all the rest
The location is great, however facilities are not good at all. The hotel is very noisy, the bathroom is terrible and the room space terrible (bureau drawer wont open because of a couch, closet door wont open because of the bureau).
The amenities are good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandra25 Professional, Friendly Service
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and considerate--very professional. The pool area courtyard is fun and the walkways and fish ponds are so peaceful. I loved everything I ordered--especially the raspberry sorbet! I had it twice.

The service and hospitality of the Sheraton Hotel was more than what I expected. It was simply excellent and most enjoyable. Keep up the great work and I look forward to returning again very soon. I will also gladly recommend my family and friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DarrellT Nice Hotel / Great Location
I've stayed at the hotel several times. It is convenient to Stanford. My only complaint is with the toilets. They are very loud and sound like airplane toilets when you flush them. Unfortunately it will effect my staying at the hotel in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PGary55 Accessible room.
here's couple of suggestions to make it easier for the disabled:
take the spring off the bathroom door. the way it is now makes wheelchair access difficult.
the tiny switches on the bedside lamps are hard to find and difficult to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bill5555 Not the best
First room overlooked the pool and was very noisy, with loud party at 1:00 AM. Moved to a second room, where the toilet was plugged.
Also, at this time (and in the heart of silicon valley!) internet should be free, like light or television.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mams This hotel met our needs perfectly.
We stayed at the Sheraton because it was close to PAMF where I was having out patient surgery. Our room location was great, the bar and resaurant outstanding and the staff very cooperative in letting me have a late checkout after my surgery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by James Central location to Palo Alto
We stay at the Sheraton quite often, great staff, great restaurant if you don't want to leave the hotel and we usually stay in the Club House. Only one recommendation: new mattresses, other than we love our stays when are visiting Palo Alto.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wilson89 Great location, bad Wifi
Should be Free WiFi in rooms. Computers and printer in lobby are outdated and constantly malfunctioning, making it hard to get travel info or print airplane boarding passes.
Halls and public areas could stand to be renovated and cleaned up.

Front desk staff would have a cab ready for me for a 645am departure for a job interview at stanford medical center. instead i was told to go out front and hail one of the cabs sitting out there. i ended up in cab that drove me around for 20 minutes (making me late to my interview)and charged me $20 for a ride from the hotel to the stanford cancer center. from my past experience, that is a 5 min drive, costing $5-7. can't help but wonder if the front desk had helped me out, maybe i could've gotten a reasonable ride. mentioned this to a couple of staff at the sheraton front desk already.
also, i noticed that i could hear my next door neighbor on conference call at 530am as well as every time he used his bathroom as though he was standing in my own room.
i had better memories of the sheraton palo alto. even outside of my prior experiences, i would have expected more for the price.
this is very conveniently located for business at stanford but there are other hotels close by as well. i will definitely look at other places to stay next time i am in town.

This seems like a very tired/old slightly depressing property. The good location is a feature but other than that I'd skip it. Also, a VERY tiny gym... Couldn't get on equipment or use the 1 mat since they all were taken.

Rated 3 out of 5 by notimpressed Loud Air-conditioner
The air-conditioner kicked on every 3 minutes all night long. It kept me awake through the night. I've seen this kind of window unit air-conditioners in cheap motels, but you would expect better equipment from Sheraton.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JDRBoston Great hotel in Palo Alto
I usually come twice a year to Palo Alto for business and always try to stay at the Sheraton. Their service staff are excellent- always giving service with a smile. Rooms are a reasonable rate, and the location is perfect for my business needs. A few minor quibbles- you have to go through the pool area with your luggage in tow to get to your room. That makes it kinda awkward, especially with patio bar seating also in the same area. (Hard to have a quite drink outdoors while kids are splashing in the pool.), but not really a big deal.
I get annoyed that Sheraton doesn't have shower caps in the bathroom automatically. (Not friendly for women travellers). But, I guess most hotels have stopped providing shower caps. Oh well!
They also seem to have a continuing problem with their television service. The TV goes "no signal" quite often. Kinda annoying- thought this would have been fixed since I complained on my last visit in January.
But, great service, fabulous location, nice rooms and good price keep me coming back. Their events/banquet staff are especially terrific.

I stayed here for 10 days while having to be at Stanford University Hospital every day for my son. The location is perfect to the hospital, the campus, and downtown. Room was just renovated, so it was nice and clean.

(a) I received my final statement 4 emails. (b) First night, the room has a spider on bed, and a bug on the carpet. We were tired and did not have time to request for room change. (c) Breakfast buffet was overprice.

I love this hotel and it's proximity to Stanford's Campus. The staff was and always is extremely helpful. We were granted a late check out on Sunday which is very helpful for the red-eye flights we take back east.
