While I had a great overall experience I had a very embarrassing moment while having breakfast at the hotel. The person who serviced our table made everyone around us turn heads when she grabbed my in law's fork and used it to point to an item from the buffet that she thought it would incur a higher breakfast charge. After much arguing and bringing the waitress to the buffet she realized that she was wrong but rather than to provide our table with an apology she simply charged out and brought our table the revised check. So to avoid this in the future I would recommend that sheraton stops with this dual breakfast option and better train employees to handle sensitive matters in a more inconspicuous manner

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kuau Customer service unsatisfactory
This is my first review of a hotel, as I generally am not picky about small things. However, too many small things went wrong on my most recent trip, so I thought I'd vent. I stayed at this very hotel two months ago and it was exactly what I expected for a category 2 in the suburbs of Boston.
On my most recent trip, I noticed that they did not upgrade me (last time I stayed they upgraded me to the next best room per my gold status which was basically the same room but with club access). I asked if I was going to get club access, and they said it would cost $20. I then asked if I would get a better room, and they said they only did that for platinum members. I asked when that policy began, and they said six months ago and that it was hotel specific. I stayed there too months ago, and I have never heard of any hotel mentioning that it was hotel specific (subject to availability makes sense, but I thought Starwood hotels participated in Starwood rewards).
At 11pm I got a call from the front desk asking me to come to the front desk as there was a mix up with my initial check in. I was already in bed, so I got ready and went back to the desk. They told me that my credit card didn't swipe correctly for incidentals last time, so they had to reswipe (it's a Starwood card and the same one I used two months ago and the one on file for my online reservation). The next day I checked my account and there were two holds on my account, because the swipe did indeed go through both times.
Yes these are small things, but they are the very reason why I book directly with SPG instead of booking through Priceline. If I just wanted a cheap room, I would use Priceline, but I instead choose to pay a bit more to accumulate and take advantage of points and their usually excellent rewards program. But in this case I felt like they did not deliver the gold benefits that I earned through dedication to one hotel chain, and the customer service was very annoying in that they made me get out of bed to swipe an already swiped card.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike1234 Dated hotel
I checked in to the hotel with no recognition as an SPG Gold member. The room they put me in had no hot water and little water pressure to the point where I couldnt even shower. I called the front desk and they asked if I wanted maintenance to come and "look at it". With an hour before I had to be at a dinner party, this was not an option. So I ended up in a tiny room with 2 double beds. Not a pleasant situation for my wife and I on a one night getaway. One other couple traveling with us had also complained about their room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SIR61 Extraordinary Customer Service
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years. For me the location is great, with direct access to the major highways in the Boston areaI. It has one of the very best gym/recreational facilities I've ever experienced at a Starwood property. What truly distinguished the property for me throughout my most recent, relatively long-term stay was the superlative customer service, which is that elusive, most valuable attribute I seek in any company. Amanda, the front desk manager, is a stand out, she's consistently clear-sighted, cheerful, and effective. I travel constantly, the number of times I've received memorably good customer service in the last year is woefully small - Amanda and her team were so helpful that I actually told friends and colleagues how impressed I was (which almost never happens). I'm writing this review amidst too many other things to do because such rare attention to guest services deserves public acknowledgment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NotClean We were disappointed
We recently stayed overnight at this hotel. The entry way was very nice and the staff was friendly upon arrival. However, the room was not good. The wall paper was starting to come off. I then went into the bathroom. It was gross. It had ground in dirt that had clearly built up for years. There were small hairs on the bathroom floor and the towel we requested never came. We were given 3 towels for 4 of us. Since I would never give my kids a bath in that tub I didn't worry about it. I am not a person with germ issues so it had to be really bad for me to feel this way. The beds on the other hand were very comfortable.
