Rated 3 out of 5 by tale of two stories I stay here two to three times a year and each stay is unique. Overall, the rooms are in need of some major updating from carpet, to bathroom. On this last visit the climate control system was broken so the room was extremely hot during the day and cold at night. I called the desk upon check in and they said someone would come right up. An hour later I called again and they said they would take care of it right away. No visit, no call back. I mentioned this the next morning and the manager handled the situation well by offering up starpoints for the inconvenience. The club lounge is adequate but in a strange location on the 2nd floor. Not really convenient to stay on a high floor club room and have to take the elevator down to the lounge. Lastly, the pool and gym are a partnership with a local sports club so expect a drive to get there. Overall, I jsut don't know what to expect from visit to visit so I think the two to three star rating is appropriate. November 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Cash+points rate is a great value. Hotel is just off I95, between I93 and State1, easy to drive downtown or to shopping plazas. Room was simple but clean and funtional. We ate the buffet breakfast in the restaurant, it was great and good value too. Staff were nice and helpful. This is a good hotel for holiday travel. Rated 3 out of 5 by older Sheraton, but clean This is an older Sheraton, but with new features of the Sheraton like the link. No more than one person in the bathroom at a time, so the extra vanity sink is needed, which they have. The location is great if you want too be near Boston, Salem. Gloucester, etc. .. The only improvement is the morning front desk staff. They are not very helpful at all. July 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs some improvement Overall my stay was satisfactory. The building and rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. However, the two issues I had were 1) the wireless internet was spotty and prevented me from doing work I needed to do the night before, and 2) the iron in my room didn't work. Because of those two issues, I would rate my stay average to slightly below. January 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great customer service I stayed here with my daughter. I booked a room for her and her friends to stay over for her birthday. Instead of feeling like the requests I asked for were a nuisance (bathrobes, etc) I felt like the staff enjoyed helping me out. The hotel is very friendly and accomodating. I will go back again. The ONLY negative is that the pool isn't on site. January 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable, Clean and Great Service! My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for the past three weeks while we work on a project nearby. Even the very best of hotels can get tiring after weeks of being away from home. However, the people at this hotel do so much to make sure your every need is met, we feel right at home! Rated 4 out of 5 by Needs some updating Clean, comfortable room, but needed updating. Carpet frayed in spots; some towels threadbare; bathroom wallpaper needed replacing and bath ceiling painted too many times. Helpful, friendly staff, but failed to accommodate without reregistering a two day stay which was booked as two separate registrations (at Sheraton request). October 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great I stayed at Sheraton Colonnial on June 21st. We had gone out to dinner and came back with no power at the hotel. The girls at the desk were wonderful with any information they could give. Too bad the customers didnt have any consideration to them. The girls did the best they could do under the circumstances. i will go to this hotel often. June 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Colonial Boston This is a very nice hotel, but I wish the bathrooms were a little larger. The room was clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. The hotel has a shopping mall within walking distance with many nice stores and restaurants. Wakefield is a nice town with a beautiful common and lake to walk around. December 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Could not ask for more We were lucky enough to chose The Sheraton Colonial in Wakefield for 2 free nights using our SPG points. And lucky we were! Thanks to ALL the staff, from the front desk, to the bar and housekeeping. Could not have been more accommodating. Will recommend to all. Rated 1 out of 5 by Worse SPG Hotel I been in This is worse SPG Hotel i been, you should pay extra to use the club room, . the first room they give me was so small which I thought I am going to closet.Sec. room i had was next to highway, it will be hard to sleep here and have little bit peace and they told be most of room will be like that. Rated 3 out of 5 by Club level Although I am a gold card member and paid to be upgraded to the club level I felt like I didn't receive much of an upgrade. Our room had some empty boxes under the bed left by a prior guest. So the staff is doing a rush job when cleaning. The first night I stayed the club lounge was so crowded and there wasn't any food left. August 29, 2012

Staff were exceptionally professional, accommodating, and patient with needs and glitches that arose - very imppressed and pleased. Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Hotel In the World My flight was cancelled on June 30th, so the airline sent us to the Sheraton Hotel. I was very annoyed, but from the moment I sat on the bed, I immediately smiled, sighed, and went to heaven, no exaggeration. The room was amazing, and I really appreciate the lounges with Wifi. I was able to stay up late and register for my classes in the fall, snagging the last seat in the chemistry class I wanted to take. But best of all is the staff. I left my iPod Touch in the computer lounge the next morning and this really nice girl named Fleura (I hope I'm spelling her name right) found it and kept it safe for me. I was already at the train station, so she packaged it and mailed it to my house. That is literally the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. Fleura deserves a promotion and a raise for her amazing compassion. She's a really good person. Thank you Fleura and Sheraton Hotels; I am forever in debt to you. You were the best thing that happened on my trip to Boston. July 11, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Watch2013 During my stay at the Boston Sheraton. My card was over charged. Not by $20.00 but >$620.00, when I advised the front desk at 5:15 pm, she denied charging my entire stay to my credit card instead of charging $50.00. I frequently visit at the Boston location my company has a corporate account. However when I discussed the issue with the Director at 5:50pm, she was somewhat helpful. But when I arrived back to provide her with the bank information and advise the bank stated to fax over the error in the Shearton letter head, she did not fax it back to my bank until 9:50 that evening. To make a long story short I contacted my bank back in the morning and they reversed the charge that was not approved. I was extended a courtesy as I'm sorry this happened. Instead the reason provided was it was probably a fluke of some sort. The accounting department at the Sheraton I called her and she attempted to contact the bank.. I had already taken care of the over charging to my account. August 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs Updating The room itself was fine and the beds were quite comfortable, however the bathroom was in severe need of updating. The grout was black in places and the ceiling paint and the wallpaper were peeling. When I went to retrieve something I dropped under the sink, I was horrified by how dirty the walls were under there. June 25, 2012

I truly felt recognized and like a valued memeber for my continued loyalty. September 1, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not the hotel for a good nights sleep! The "sweet sleeper" bed was anything but sweet! Not comfortable at all....pillows were too soft (no neck support) and could hear every little noise in hallway. Carpets needed to be vacuumed better and baseboards were very, very dusty. I was very disappointed and would not book for another stay. :( September 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Old Hotel - Pool NOT on premises The lobby and lounge of this hotel are great and updated but the rooms are so old the doors don't shut properly. I checked with spg and they assured me the pool was on the premises but its NOT. Its in the BSC in another building so you have to travel outside to get to the pool and walk up a hill. Michelle at the front desk was so nice and so friendly, I was never missing anything she was always ready to help. The hotel and rooms are very clean and it had a comfortable atmosphere. Parking and wifi are also included. Can't wait to go back. July 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by sheraton colonial We stayed a night 1 week ago. It was a free night thanks to the hotel. I like going there because it is close to everything I look for. The only down side was how far away the room was. I had forgotton to ask the front desk for a tower room. Be sure to ask for a tower room or you will be in the boonies. September 19, 2012

The elevator walls were dirty, the furniture worn, stain on the bedroom wall, no towel holder in bathroom, bathroom door was swollen & wouldn't shut without slamming it. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Easy access to highway. June 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel This was a great hotel. The restaurant was nicely priced for a family and the food was good. The only downside was that the pool and fitness center were not on site, but at another location down the road which upset me that I could not work out at night or take my son swimming for just a quick swim. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel The Colonial is a very nice hotel. The staff is very accommodating. We needed to extend the check-out time, and there was no problem with that. I called the front desk for something, and it was immediately addressed. The food is good. We have stayed here before, and we probably will stay again. August 11, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Forget this hotel from my room The Room was so far away from the front desk that it took a good 10 minutes to walk to it. Only one way into to this hotel. The front The Bathroom was so small and boy do I mean small if you sat there you could not close the door to it. I would notRecommend this hotel on what I stay in July 15, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boston stay with family The staff was always expectand of my needs, kept on asking if I needed anything. My wife came in late and they were waiting for me, it was a snowy night. I know the staff for at least 14 years long, and they´ve always been kind to me and my family when we stay there. November 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by feature improvements The room I stayed in faced the interstate so the noise from the traffice did not allow me to sleep well. The noise can be reduced by installing double or triple paned windows and by removing the window a.c./heating unit. I killed a cockaroach that was on my bed. October 23, 2012

I arrived late and only stayed one night, however the bar/lounge was open for both food & drink (great food!) and it may have been the best hotel bed I've slept on in many years. Staff was welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. First class all the way. June 29, 2012
