The hotel is rather tired and my rooms are never the same. Some times there is a coffee machine other times no. My last stay the coffee machine still had coffee in it and mold growing in the pot. That tells me it was not cleaned for days, not good
The room often has bulbs burnt out or missing. just very tired

Rated 3 out of 5 by Decemberdissatisfaction My worst stay in years
I have stayed at this hotel before; I am very disappointed. The room was not even ready and smell badly. Humidity was high, I reported to the staff, they tried to bring a humidifier to my room and it was broken and I could not change room, the other room was even worst.
There was not an Internet cable. I had to ask for one.
They used to place notepad and pens. There was none at this time.
It was a nightmare, I was so tire and I could not rest because the room was very uncomfortable.

For the price, there are other hotels that have better rooms. First, I was told that the room will not be ready until 3pm then when I finally got a room, I was given a room, that all the doors were sticking, the bathroom light was blinking, there was no refrigerator in the room. Then when I complained, I was given a room on the higher floor and the staff made a point that this is a SPG Preferred - well in this preferred room was a painting that the frame and glass were broken. The TV didn't work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Disgruntledguest Superb Staff
The staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful. The front desk staff in particular went out of their way to help out. Stephanie on night shift is so pleasant and calm, always smiling, and the type of employee that Sheraton should be very proud of. All the staff at this hotel are professional and far better than at other hotels I have stayed at.
While my nickname or handle here is "disgruntled guest" , for this hotel I would change it to: "Impressed!"

This was second stay in this hotel, during the first one there was no power in the night from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM on the weekend for some emergency repair. I understood and accepted this one. But during my second stay same problem no power on the weekend between the same time. I was not able to sleep the whole night. When i complained there was no reaction from the staff. Also the room AC are very noisy.

I have been to this hotel 4 times in the past two years and the elevators that are in the back/side of this property, of the three that are there only one ever has worked! Other than that, this is a fine property.
Oh, also don't expect the front desk to exchange US dollars to Pesos, they only accept Euros.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Takis Overall good, but...
Overall we had a good experience. The staff was helpful and professional. Our only complaint, but an important one, is about billing. Upon check-in, we thought we'd get an upgrade for a one-time charge of $40 to include, for our entire stay, internet usage in the room, buffet breakfast and $10/day allowance at the bar. We should've thought it was too good to be true then because, at check-out, we found out that it was $40/day, not total. The offer hadn't been clearly articulated. Also, on checkout, there were a couple of mysterious fees that we're still trying to clear up.
The hotel seems to be used mostly by business people with expense accounts, so they may not be watching their expenditures as closely as people with their own hard-earned money might. So make sure you understand all the financial terms, listen to the staff closely, and question them! We didn't do enough and got blindsided.
On a lighter note, we found the pool to be delightful. Anyone complaining that it's too small is spoiled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Guest An excellent experience
I have stayed at the Maria Isabel on numerous occasions over the years, and the experience has always been great. The location is ideal, and the management and staff are very attentive and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Mexico City.

Rated 1 out of 5 This hotel is so old - not worth the money
The hotel is old and dirty. Even the room I stayed in on Platinium level was totalky worned out. Not a 4 or 5 star hotel. I had to move to another hotel down the road.
