Rated 4 out of 5 by Modern Starwood property in Buenos Aires While in Buenos Aires, this hotel is a good choice in the Starwood line. It's fairly new and updated, and the Club level floors have very comfortable rooms. The Club lounge serves an awesome breakfast and snacks and beverages through out the day. The hotel is full service with a bar, restaurant, pool, gym and spa. The pool seemed very chilly even though it was about 92 F the days I was there - perhaps they don't heat it. The rooms on the river side of the property are slightly smaller than the other side which features a view of the clocktower and San Martin plaza. One major annoyance is that the doors of the rooms all slam loudly when closed. It seems no one knows how to quietly close a door so the slamming and shaking of the walls goes on all day and night. This is a convention center hotel, so it's always bustling with lots of events which creates an exciting vibe in the lobby areas. While not in a particularly trendy neighborhood, the hotel is well located to shopping on Florida street, dining along Puerto Madero, and walking distance to Recoleta. I would definitely stay here again. December 13, 2012

It was clear to me that they did not value my business as a member (new platinum) in the SPG program. Would not recommend this hotel. Outdated, little property investment and a young and inexperienced staff. Worst experience ever to date. December 13, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel but price value has declined In summary, the hotel has everything one could need, in good condition, but the price per night is a bit higher than other similar hotels that are newer and more practical due to their price. i.e save the extra $50usd and enjoy a good Argentine steak in Puerto Madero. Note other hotels I am comparing are executive level with newer facilities. This Sheraton is showing its age. December 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel Beautiful hotel. I stayed 2 nights in early December. Great front desk employees, especially Andres. He was extremely courteous and helpful during my stay. Very nice gym facilities. Loved the nice suite upgrade, beautiful bath area. Also very spacious club room with lots of breakfast choices! December 12, 2012

The internet did not work as well as we hoped but usually we received assistance from either the internet area or the front desk. December 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay in a great City A very nice facility; loved the bed and the view from the high floors - we overlooked the ferry harbor. We were there during some excitement - a port fire and a torrential rain - and the staff handled every thing well. Very convienient location for walking around BsAs. December 11, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by internet issues I was in Buenos Aires for business, so internet access is critical. Although expensive, the Sheraton wifi barely functioned. 2 days it did not work outside of the lobby area. The other days, it was very, very slow and each time my phone or computer went to sleep, I had to repeat the login process. This is just not acceptable for a business-oriented hotel. December 8, 2012

In spite of so many days having elapsed, I do not see any point credited into my SPG account!! Please credit them! Rated 3 out of 5 by Stay in Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center I arrived at the hotel by 2:40 pm the check in is supposed to be at 3:00 pm, but the room was not ready until 4:20 pm. The first night the A/C system was not working propperly and it was draining water, so the carpet got some water on it and the water stainedd the carpet, those stains were not cleaned during a 13 days stay. At the front desk people is not so kind and helpful. Regarding the room service, the only night I asked for room service, it took about 40 minutes to receive the meals I ordered. Finally, at least for me, the internet service is one of the most important complements a hotel can offer, but at this hotel the internet connection is very slow and some times it's just impossible to get in to the internet, I had to go downstairs (to the lobby floor), several times to get into the internet, because in the lobby floor the internet connection was better than in my room. Rated 4 out of 5 by Buenos Aires is Beautiful, Sheraton employees are rude For some reason, the employees treat you as if they are making you a favor when talking to you: In the restaurant if the person that is supposed to welcome you is on a personal call on his cell, he will not even look at you, after the third day we decide to just walk in. We asked to an employee to take us a picture, he look at us like we were crazy, answer “NO” and walk away, walk to another employee and make a joke about us and laugh. The parking service is terrible, there are to booths for payment and or room charge, but they are always out in when you are in looking for them. We had to ask for towels and bathrobes four out of 6 days that we stayed. November 9, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bad room quality I am a SPG member and likes to use Sheraton in Buenos Aires. Unfortunately my last stay in October was a disaster: bad room quality, air conditioning not working. I tried twice to request fixing or changing room but only promises, no action. I will think again if should stay or not in Sheraton Buenos Aires in my next travel. November 3, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not very satisfied The front desk recepcionist was not very kind; she was rude and not very welcoming. I provided my SPG number but the recepcionist did not input into the system and now I have to go on-line and input the information of my stay. The TV didn't work. The room smell like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The transportation from the airport to Tortuguitas and Tortuguitas to the hotel was very expensive (I paid more for transportation than for the room). October 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Club Lounge I’ve stay at this hotel each time I go to Buenos Aires because it’s centrally located, reasonably priced and, it has a great view of the water and of downtown Buenos Aires. Also, this property is located just 1 block from the Manuel Tienda Leon airport shuttle which makes getting to/from EZE a breeze (non-stop). One of my favorite features of this hotel is the breakfast offered in the Club Lounge in the mornings. The buffet is impressive, and it’s complimentary for Platinum guests. Thanks, Sheraton! This hotel is within walking distance to most places in Buenos Aires. OR, you can just jump on the subway which is locate about 4 blocks away. Hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. Rated 3 out of 5 by Inconsistent service - hot & cold Shortly after I started the check in process, I was greeted by an extremely friendly hotel manager who thanked me for staying at their hotel as a gold member. What a great welcome! But I was disappointed shortly thereafter when I went to my room. 1. I reserved a room with a king sized bed and they put me in a lower floor room with two twins. 2. When I went back to the check-in desk to ask for the type of room I reserved, they indicated that a room wasn't ready and that I would have to wait about an hour for it to be cleaned. I offered to stay in the club lounge while my room was being cleaned but was disappointed that it wasn't immediately available. In fact, a bell boy came up to the lounge with my room key within 10 minutes so it could have been worse. 3. Wi-fi internet service is non-existant. It is so slow and inconsistent that I ended up tethering my phone to my laptop to get data service. Roaming charges are expected to exceed CAD$50 but I had no choice. That said, the room I was eventually provided was wonderful and the location and facilities are very good so I would stay here again. October 21, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Below my SPG Expectations! After been attended by an unfriendly staff at check in, I found out that the Internet was a serious problem throughout the hotel. The staff that answered my call was not at all attentive to the problem, just brushed it off. My room was not cleaned until I came back from a long day, and I had to call to make sure that it was done. Service was not at all with the expectations of the SPG brands. On a positive note, the hotel is gorgeous, the installations like the swimming pool and gym seem good. The check out person did a better job at service and I forgot her name. October 17, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by good value ENJOYED OUR STAY - One issue - We stayed in 3 different rooms in 2weeks - we came back to BA two times. Each room had different features some better than others. First room was the best. AC worked the best; had a large hand held mirror; bathtub had no stains. Staff on last weekend were not as nice as all staff as other times. September 24, 2012
