Service by staff and concierge was amongst the best I have ever experienced. They got us matched up for last minute trips to macchu pichu and other fabulous sights. Service great. Will come back

I and my wife had a wonderful experience last weekend in Sheraton Lima. From check in to check out we were very well treated by all the staff. They were always available to help us out or answer questions. Room was very comfortable with a nice view of the city. Very good shower as well. Breakfast had so many options to choose from (local and foreign food) and was so well prepared. A plus is that it's walking distance from historic downtown and they also have free shuttle if you want to go to Miraflores district.

The central location is both its greatest strentgth, and its weakness. If you have business in the center, or if you want to visit central Lima, it’s well worth staying here for one night. However, if you are planning on staying a few days here for leisure, I would say go elsewhere as you will be spending a lot of time stuck in traffic, and will have to contend with the fact that the immediate vicinity is quite run down and unsafe after dark, and has no good restaurants. The Sheraton seems to cater mainly to business travellers, airline staff, and tour groups. Having said that, the hotel itself is quite nice, and it is especially good value on points.
Check in was ok, but expect long waits if you are behind a large group. No upgrade given other than Club Level room, but as we were just staying one night, it didn’t matter. Room is ok, a little dated, and aircon quite old. Split bathroom, with sink area outside, but shower area very dark. Club lounge was too warm to spend more than 5 minutes, although evening snack selection was ok. On that basis, we avoided it for breakfast and headed straight to the main restaurant where we had the most thorough buffet ever: complete with hot Japanese dishes, chicharrones, lomo saltado, etc. served until 10:30AM.
The bar wasn’t so nice, as its dark and has massive TV screens, and I waited a long time to be served despite it not being very full at all; drinks were way overpriced. Concierge was quite nice and helpful. There is a shopping mall attached to the building, with supermarket, and some US chain restaurants. And a taxi rank just outside the hotel, although bell staff will always try to steer you towards the hotel’s premium taxi service.

The room carpeting had numerous stains. It needs to be cleaned. The curtains could not be opened by the curtain rope.

The Sheraton in Lima is a great place to stop and rest for myself, to continue traveling in Peru.
All personnel are friendly and ready to provide their best.
