Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute Pleasant Stay in the Heart of Lima
I had a quick one-day meeting in Lima, and ended up with a 23-hour stay in the hotel. It was easy to reach and well recognized by the taxi, with about a 20-25 minute drive from the airport late at night.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that it was placed in a historic area of the city, and welcomed into the lobby. Hotel staff were very welcoming, and had everything already prepared for my room - instead of waiting around while they checked for a room for me.
As a Platinum member I was upgraded to a suite on an upper floor of the hotel, which appeared to have been recently renovated (according to the floor room it was supposed to be two separate rooms). It offered a sitting area with a table and separate washroom in the outer room, complete with a TV.
A sliding door separated the inner bedroom, with a spacious bed and an even more spacious bedroom, with a separate shower stall and jacuzzi bath. It also had a glass-enclosed hallway featuring a surplus of closet space.
Overall I was impressed with the appearance - I like the separation of the bedroom with the sliding door, as it masked any sound from the outside hallway.
Speaking of sound, I’ve never been a fan of hotels with a hollow core. They tend to echo and amplify any sound below upwards - but I didn’t notice anything like that in a hotel. There was even a conference going on at the bottom of the hollow core which I could hear from lower floors, but not the upper ones.
On the 18th floor was also a lounge, which featured a full breakfast with hot and cold items, and in the evening cold and hot snacks as well. I was impressed with the offering and service, and never found it too crowded in there.
I noticed that there were some floors that were draped in tarps, from looking out into the hollow core, which appear to be under renovation still.
For options close to the hotel, it’s adjacent to a mall with a supermarket, food court, and for those of us who can’t live without our coffee - two Starbucks within a 3-minute walk.
I’d happily return here again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillRMD TWO SHORT BUT EXCELLENT STAYS
My wife and I (along with another couple who joined us for this portion of our trip) spent two one-night stays at this excellent hotel, one at either end of a 4-day trip to Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. SPG recognition excellent - we particularly appreciated the early checkin on our first stay, and late checkout on our second. Extremely comfortable and quiet junior suite. Fitness facility and pool excellent. Location fine for several museums and much of the old city and sights. Alex Quiroz and Luis Solorzano took good care of us in Club Lounge. Mr. Chavez, Ms. Guzman and Veronica at Reception were efficient, professional and welcoming. Hector and Cesar of the bell staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to our return!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cassi93 Great hotel except for one thing
We recently spent one night at the hotel on a quick trip to Lima. Service was great, was given late checkout to 5pm, room wonderful, help given printing boarding pass, free shuttle to Mira Flores, and free breakfast and drink passes! But there is no shuttle from the airport so took a taxi to hotel. The concierge appeared shocked we only paid 40 soles as hotel taxis cost 100 but felt it was too dangerous. He arranged for a taxi to a museum for us. This driver got lost, drove with 1 hand, and even drove the wrong way on a 1 way street!

Rated 5 out of 5 by supatight80 excellent platinum recognition
Upgraded to Suite as a Platinum100 guest. Got a welcome note signed by the GM himself with a basket of fruits, cheese and crackers platter, and a smoked salmon with caviar platter. So sweet of him.
This is my third stay here so expected the usual. Very comfy bed. But this time around, cant access the balcony. Back in 2013, was able to step out the balcony.
Club lounge brekky was more than adequate but at night, little choices.
If i had to recommend something to improve, front desk should not act so robotic. It doesnt hurt to smile once in awhile you know. Concierge and bellman were excellent however.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Travelalot33 Good location but hotel is dated and elelvators are loud
Good location near old city, park with fountains (Parque de Reserva), Chinatown, and public transportation. Hotel has complimentary shuttle to Larcomar mall in Miraflores that worked well for us. Elevators are too loud for sleeping for rooms near the elevators. Views on Paseo de Republica side of hotel are better than the opposite side. Nice mall with a super market, food court, and restaurants right next door to hotel.
Hotel needs a refurbishment to eliminate the loud elevator noise and seal the room windows to reduce street noise. Breakfast buffet was decent. Evening food in Club Lounge was too light side to make a meal out of. Had to pay for soda, not just alcohol in Club Lounge. Breakfast in Club Lounge looked OK.
Platinum recognition was good. All staff were responsive and helpful

Rated 5 out of 5 by Baru1976 First time in "old Lima" and great experience
My room had an incredible view of the Palacio de Justicia (High Court) and the big square that runs in front of it, and it was spectacular both day and night. Excellent view also of the mountains at the distance... great if you don't get too much fog.
The hotel was very good, a nice and cool bar and breakfast was also very good, with lots of options! If you are staying in this part of Lima, this is a great option!
