We stayed here for a night after a cruise. The check in was fast and we had a room on the concierge floor but our room was very hot. I tried to turn the a/c up to no avail. I asked the concierge for help but he spoke very little English as did the maintenance crew. After much to do we were finally moved to what was an upgraded suite. The suite had holes in the tile foyer and you could see where a wall was removed and the hair dryer they provided could not be plugged inti the outlet. Although we did not have time to enjoy it the pool area looked very nice.

When I arrived there was a line of 7 people waiting for check in and only one attendant.
I asked if I could have Internet access to check my mail while waiting in line but none could be provided until I had checked in.
When I finally got to check in, my room was not ready, and had to wait for one hour for it, and at this time they could give me Internet without the check in (don't know why they couldn't do it before).
Installations are ok, the gym is a little two crowded, location is good but service level is not.

The hotel has made changes recently in policies and procedures. First off the restaurant in the past offered omelets and other amenities. That is no longer offered and the staff at El Cid lack direction i.e. coffee and hospitality. The hotel has issues with hot water and cleanliness issues from time to time. When mention to the front desk they act with little concern. Although I am a corporate customer at this hotel I am also a SPG member and know how to treat customers.

Rooms are small and in need of updating. Location is good for access across bridge to vibrant area. Private meals were excellent for our tour group.

Floors in room were soiled, and food not covered by Globus was very expensive (outrageous), and I would never come to your hotel again. I'm also a business executive and I've never seen so many
Sheraton workers doing next to nothing for
so few guest. I suggest you close the hotel.

Pretty good hotel. I didn't have any trouble here, nor do I remember anything standing out. Except for breakfast which was delicious! Room was pretty small but comfortable.

Hot water coming out the cold tape except for 7-8:30 AM was troubling. Maid not noticing the Klenex was out when normally they fold the one in the slot was bad as I don't like blowing my nose with toilet paper. I went from 4 towels in the Bath to 2 then 3 then 2 as the week progressed. Bath floor mat only 2 of the 4 days. Just inconsistancy in the Bath!
Food and service was good except for breakfast coffee service. Consierge was helpful!

Issues: dripping water in bathtub; breakfast outdoors was a little uncomfortable due to cold. Nothing very serious but may be improved. On the other hand very nice welcome letter acknowledging my birthday with complimentary cocktail and SPG recognition in front desk and also in the welcome letter.

Worst SPG property ever, rooms old and dirty, service slow in bar and restaurant, internet service spotty in all areas of hotel. Lobby and pool area decent but deceptive for rest of hotel. Buffet breakfast at pool served watery eggs and undercooked bacon. Warmed food was cold and no coffee service available. Would not recommend as cost provides no value to accommodation. Very unacceptable

Unfortunately upon late night arrival we were provided with a very unsatisfactory room.
As a Lifetime Gold member, i would have expected that more attention would have been given to place us on the Starwood Preferred floor upon check in.
Fortunately the hotel's management provided us with a room change the next day and some complimentary service to make up for the discomfort.

A friendly and nice situated hotel. The staff makes you feel at home.
Breakfast in the garden is lovely, although large groups in the hotel with similar check out times can make it overcrowded.
The internet policies are strange for a business hotel. Too expensive in comparison to other hotels and restaurants, cafes and so on.
The lobby area and adjoining bar are very nice, good atmosphere, nice staff.

the rooms were so small it was difficult to move around, the towels would not be used as rags in any other hotel, the windows were dirty and as for the window coverings I would not tough them as they were so full of dirt. The service was so slow it took over an hour to get a luch order in the main bar and the restaurant was even worse, let me say they were NOT busy.

Checked-in late at night. Was not asked nor recognized as SPG member. Was not informed of the employee strike prior nor at arrival. Was given a dirty room and when given the second room, while the bed and bathroom were made up, the bathroom sink was dirty with shaving residue. Carpets looked old and dirty. Drapery had water stains and air conditioning wasn't working properly.

The restaurant was outstanding! The pool facilities were great and the general appearance and upkeep were very good. I would very much have liked to have had a coffee/tea maker in my room like I've come to expect and TV channel guide would have been nice to have. I did have to call for my room to be cleaned one evening even though I had been gone all day.

Make sure you are not located close to the situation I was in... My room was located on the 3rd floor with two issues:
1. It was directly above the outdoor pool/dinning area.
2. It was close to the third floor walkway that is open to the bar/restaurant below.
The bar/restaurant was very loud at night, either from music being played or from the live singer that was performing. This was very noticeable in my room and irritating.
Noise insulation from outside was very poor, people talking and laughing from the outdoor pool/dinning area was very irritating while trying to take a conference call at night.
The room was average at best from a feature standpoint. Not bad or good.
The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant were very nice. I was able to eat late one night and the wait staff was very helpful/kind.
Overall, my experience was quite tainted from the noise distractions in my room, otherwise it would have been a nice experience/hotel.

The staff was great and the hotel overall is very nice. but the lighting in the bathroom was very poor and the shower went from scalding hot to very cold with out touching the faucet. this was very hard to take any shower as I could not stabilize the water temperature. Also I believe the beds were not the standard beds for a Sheraton hotel.

Very helpful, friendly, and kind Front Desk employees, especially Carlos and Mauricio, and Nicole at the Concierge Desk! Very comfortable club floor room. Beautiful club floor breakfast offering. Lovely pool area, fountains, and fire pits. Nice gym, workout area and spa. Had a wonderful experience at this Sheraton property!

From the moment you check in everyone in the hotel go out of there way to may you feel at home and make sure everything is ok.
The food in the restaurant is amazing, recommend everyone to try it.
Rooms are spotlessly clean and seem to be checked numerous times during the day.

This hotel, although in the city, had the feel of a resort. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Javier in the club lounge was especially helpful, as well as Joel at the Concierge and Juan Carlos and other staff at check in.
The fitness center was great.

I just finished traveling to 3 Countires including Chile but the worse hotel rooms were in Sheraton Santiago. The room didn't smell good, the bathroom is old, the shower didn't run well, etc...
