Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't go there with too high expectations We stayed at this hotel arriving Aug 31st. The check-in staff was very nice and explained that we got an upgrade to a junior suite. Entering the romm we were very disappointed. Yes, the room was bigger than a normal room, but furniture was very old fashioned and a bit dated. The room had only a tiny window, so you need to use light in the midst of day and the location was towards in the inner side, so you see only other guest rooms on the other side of the hotel (hotel is basically a square). The Club lounge was under renovation (which was neither mentioned on the website nor where we informed upfront). so the used one suite as Club lounge. Hardly any food and drinks where available and a group of younger people used the lounge as party place with loud music and heavy drinking. We left after a short while and reported it to reception, who apologized and gave a drink voucher for the bar. Breakfast experience was godd when it come to the food, but the breakfast area is way to small for a hotel this size, you hardly find a table, will be sitting very clode to the next table and the noise level is big. Staff is limited, so cleaning of the tables takes long. Overall nothing special compared to many other SPG Hotels I visited. September 8, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Average hotel, very pricey in a great location This property has positives and negatives. It is in a great location. You can walk everywhere from here. However, parking is ridiculous. Over $50 per day to park your car - so unless your company is paying, don't even think about bringing a car here. The breakfast buffet is average. It definitely could be better, but it will do for a few days. They have a fun bar in the lobby with nice bartenders. Front desk staff are very nice and service oriented, although they do not recognize Platinum status very well. I received no upgrade and even got a room without a view (the inner courtyard views are terrible), while the views of the lake are gorgeous. I've stayed 3 times while Platinum. I was only upgraded to a suite 1x. One time I received the beautiful water view and the other time I received the very poor inner courtyard view. The club lounge is super small (it's basically a converted room). It can get jam packed and simply cannot hold everyone. When this happens, it's super uncomfortable in the room. Club room drinks are nice (wine, beer and spirits), but the food is sparse and rarely veggie friendly. The rooms are ok and definitely decent sized for Europe, although they are beginning to get a bit dated. Internet is a high speed as you can get. In the summer, rates are extremely high here (due to demand) and as such the value proposition of this hotel just doesn't cut it. In the winter the rates are more reasonable and as such it's a good value. March 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simplicity Is Due To Location The Sheraton Stockholm could not be situated in a more convenient location whether you are traveling on business or pleasure. As you exit the facility, dependent on which way you walk, you will find the great historic attraction of Gamla Stan, convenient transportation options at the city's Centralstation, more shopping options than in New York City's Time Square or a myriad of landmark touring options. There is no need to utilize a taxi service while in Stockholm, for this is a dream city to promenade; easy to get around, identifiable mapping systems and the ever so typical Swedish person, always willing to help out with their perfect English communication skills ! Speaking of a helpful Swede- ENTER: Elin....if you are eager enough to stay on the Sheraton's Club Level, this always smiling, sincere, yet professional representative of The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel will happily assist you with all your desires, wants, and needs. She has been working on the seventh floor for many years and even remembered me upon my last visit from times before. As a bonus, she also has children, which means she welcomes them to this elite room as an equal - there is no need to feel uneasy as most Club floors are full of premium members and business adults. For any type of traveler, I do recommend The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel and especially its Club Lounge...for Elin should be demonstrative to her fellow employees on what it means to be ' the face of Sheraton '.....A job extremely well done by The Sheraton Stockholm's manager for entrusting Elin to correspond with not only its most demanding clients, but the easy ones like myself, that are just happy to receive unbelievable support from an impressive team member such as this vibrant, young woman - I will be certain to return ! Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel in a very good location I spent 2 days (1 night) in Sheraton with my brother. The hotel is in a very good location, easy to go to the city centre by walk. Our room was amazing with a beautiful view. We also loved the breakfast selection. I also tried the dinner in the restaurant which was delicious too. The waiter was very helpful and professional and made sure we are enjoying our meal. We were hesitating what to choose from the menu and I trusted his recommendation and loved the food. Unfortunately I forgot his name. However I remember Dimitris from the bar who made the best cocktail I have tried ever! He was very friendly, professional and I was amazed the way he was preparing the drinks and playing with the shaker! WOW! He really impressed us a lot! He was interacting with us and made sure we are having a good time. And yes we did! The only thing I could comment about is the information we have received from the Front Desk. I was looking for the Concierge but they said they dont have any so I was asking for tour recommendation from one of the receptionists. As we only had 2 full days we wanted to see as many thing is possible in Stockholm. Unfortunately we have received wrong information regarding to several activities. The person behind the desk sent us to a wrong location to buy ticket of the boat tour. Also she said that being beginning of April only boat excursion is available which is wrong as the hop on hop off bus was already operating which we really wanted to do. Beside that she advised to go up to the city hall to take some nice pictures of the city but when we arrived there we were informed that during this period the tower is still closed and they didnt let us go up. We were a bit disappointed. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay at the Sheraton and will definitely go back! May 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor Customer Service I have stayed in many Sheraton's all over the world, and was dismayed by the lack of customer service at the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm. The room itself was beautiful and the stay could have been extraordinary had it not been for a few key members of the customer service team. There was a tennis event going on during the period of October 19 to 21, 2012 that may have influenced the lack of attention I felt I was given. One member of your team, outright refused to help me book my boat cruise due to being distracted by a few tennis players. He told me to do it myself by going to the boat terminal early the following morning. I was new to Stockholm and his booking it for me would have helped a great deal and saved me time (further I was told by the Concierge earlier that they would book it for me). I was given old $500 Swedish Krone's by my bank here in Canada before my trip and when I tried to use them in Sweden, I was refused by four different places and had to use my credit card. Being very upset, I turned to the Front Desk for help. The Front Desk Associate was very sympathetic and offered to help. The Concierge was then called and he at first offered to help by exchanging the money at a high exchange rate, which I was very happy to do as I would not be in Sweden on the Monday to go to the bank in person to fix the bills. When I agreed, as this was the only money I had, he changed his mind and refused to do it and did not offer to help me further. I found this to be extremely poor customer service. While I understand there are policies in place, he could have done something to help or at least seemed understanding. I was made to feel by both members of (male) staff on the evening of October 19th that I was more a nuisance that they were forced to endure than a loyal client of the Sheraton. As a result, I will think again before booking with your hotel anywhere in the future. This is all very disappointing as when we checked in, the Front Desk Associate offered us an upgrade to a beautiful room overlooking Gramla Stan which we took -- this being a trip of a lifetime for us. This was somewhat ruined by the two members of your staff who could use a lesson on treating all customers the same way. I may not be a tennis player, but I have spent thousands of dollars at your hotels worldwide over the last few years. I will now turn my loyalty to another brand. October 22, 2012
