Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful for wedding accommodations When I chose this hotel for guest accommodations for my wedding night, I didn't know there was a distinction between guests and "club guests". This meant that none of my relatives who booked rooms were given the "complimentary breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres and a variety of beverage options". I was horribly embarrassed that my wedding invitations mentioned features that were only given to guests if they paid for suites. It wasn't clear enough on the website or in my communications with the hotel rep. When I spoke with the hotel staff about it the night of my arrival, they wouldn’t offer anything other than that guests could pay the additional cost for the club level, meaning they would have to pay $30 more per room, would still have their regular rooms but could then have access to the 5th floor for the complimentary items. I also thought a "block of rooms" meant everyone would be on the same floor and had planned on everyone joining me while my hair and makeup was done in my suite on the wedding morning, however, I was on the 5th floor and everyone else was on the 3rd or 4th and the elevators didn't allow guests to go further than the floor that their room was on. Those without a room key couldn't use the elevator at all so when my stylist arrived and then later the photographer, I had to go down and get them (even though I was busy with other things). Then I had to have someone go down to the other floors with my room key every time a family member was ready to come up to my room, so my phone was ringing nonstop. It was a huge hassle and I very much regretted choosing Sheraton during both nights of my stay. Also, the shuttle that I arranged to come pick up guests from the venue at midnight went to the front entrance, but everyone was expecting it at the back entrance (where it had earlier dropped them off), so everyone missed the midnight shuttle and had to wait outside for almost an hour for it to come back. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great club floor This is one of the best Sheraton's I have stayed at. It is a little outside of the city which is OK with me, as it is close enough to the city that 7 min in a car gets you as close as any other hotel. Loved the Club the floor, a light snow was falling upon my arrival I enjoyed sitting by the fire place in the club lounge reading a book. Great fitness center, the hot tub and pool are a little small but I was the only one in there so not to bad. Platinum status was recognized to the club floor but not without special request and approval from another attendant November 17, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel staff not customer friendly. The hotel staff is not at all friendly. Being a platinum member and frequent visitor, everytime I check in, I need to approach the front desk to correct my corporate ID and room rate. Never were given upgrades with reason that we are sold out. Room quality, especially bathroom, shower are below average and do not command the price they ask for. Folio is not sent promptly upon check out and need to call requesting the folio. Charges appear on credit card only after two weeks post stay which makes it increasingly difficult to settle with weekly expense report. Staff needs to learn a lot about courtesy and customer service. A simple smile sometimes does the magic rather than showing emotionless faces everytime October 21, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Things have changed... And not for the better. I have stayed at this Sheraton location at least 15 times over the last 2 years and lately have been disappointed. There are several new front desk employees who are friendly, but not well trained. The food and beverage employees are still and always fantastic, but the food quality does not warrant the new higher prices. They have cut back on the hotel room amenities and are still overdoing it with the water softener. While I would still recommentd this hotel and will continue to go back, I am sincerely hopeful that you will return to the high quality, customer focused facility that you were up until a couple of months ago. Rated 2 out of 5 by Recent stay Overall this hotel is a mediocre experience at best. Following are the specific issues for my recent stay: Ordered the same cocktail from three different employees and was charged three different prices Did not replace soap when used, had to use shampoo to shower The same dirty dishes in the hall during my three day stay Manager discussing cutting hours with employees at the front desk Did not change dirty sheets on my bed Bed was poorly made at best Did not remove dirty cocktail glasses from my room Room has no drawers for clothes, have to live out of your suit case. Rated 3 out of 5 by 4 night stay i realize sheratons are a little higher in price than other chain hotels. The breakfast buffet they serve is just a small step better than what most places offer as a free continental breakfast. The Sheraton charges $15. Absolutely no reason to charge anything for their buffet breakfast. The large comforters on the beds are way to heavy and almost smothering to use. The pillows are so soft you have to wad them up to get any support for your head. Staff was way to late in the day to get the room freshened up . There was supposed to be a shuttle service to an event, there was even a conformation of the shuttle on Hotel stationary and the shuttle never showed up. Check in personal didn't seem to know anything about it even though the paperwork was in the wedding parties file. October 7, 2014
