Its very appreciable to find such welcome in a city far from home and on cultural environment. Staff is very nice, as people in Hohhot by the way....eventaxi drivers (a luxury in China) . Fitness is great as well as Italian restaurant. Just missed a cozy barcwith soft music to enjoy wine or spirit t nightvwith a cigar

Nice hotell with modern rooms, friendly staff in an ok location
The restaurant on the other hand was a disappointment both for dinner and breakfast displaying food that looked dry and unappetizing from being on the buffet for too long

The hotel reception area has a very big bunting that advertises the advantages of being an SPG member, but upon check in, nobody asked me if I am an SPG member.
To make matters worse, they didn't register my name to my room at all, even though they made a copy of my passport on check-in date. So, when my friends and family tried to call me at the hotel, they couldn't find my name on their register. Therefore, I had to take my passport and SPG card to the reception to make sure they register my name properly.

I put down a 3 night deposit by credit card at the check-in. After a diner at the hotel charged to the room, I got phone calls from the hotel at the third day during diner time and was told I was short on the deposit. Irratated but with no choice, I put down more deposit, feeling completely distrusted. Walking up to my room, I could not open the door, it was electronically deactivated. Infuriated, I fully realized at that moment that guests are not trustful, not welcome to this hotel, at all!
Having stayed many up-scale hotels around the world, I have, for the first time, expereinced the unprofessional, disgraceful, unrespectful behavious and business practice in this hotel.
Please stop charging the deposit, stop this insulting practice, and start to respect your guests. Without understanding guests' feelings and personal touch, the self-branded-5-star hotel means nothing.
By the way, the buffet food (The Feast) was unbelievably terrible.
