Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location, Helpful Staff The hotel is a good place for a conference and has meeting rooms which are convenient to attendees. The banquet food was also much better than usual. January 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great visit Good location just away from Austin night life January 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Barleg Attended concert which was within walking distance. Nice linens, pillows and bed. Pedicabs fun to event. Charges for parking and water excessive. January 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Austin Visit My visit to the Sheraton Austin was average. I selected the green selection as I always do and expected that the same linens would be used, but the bed would be made and towels replaced. The bed was never made, towels not replaced, glasses or water bottles not removed and trash not emptied. I mentioned to the representative at the front desk and was told that this was the hotel's policy. I've stayed at many Starwoods properties and always select the green option and this is the first time I've encountered this. I suggest that you revisit this policy. December 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Austin Front desk staff was awesome and the fitness facilities were great. The room needed a little in house maintenance, but everything was functional. December 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location The hotel is in a great hotel for Austin activities. It is a very nice hotel. We would stay again. December 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by You get what you pay for I arrived at midnight and looked through the menu to order food. The menu table of contents listed a late night menu but nothing was listed within the menu itself. I called the front desk and was told all food service was closed at 11pm...how can a Sheraton hotel not have a late menu?? I was told I could order pizza instead....no thanks, November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Parking and Food Parking in the downtown area is ridiculous. I had a friend meet me and they had to pay to park at the hotel and she was only there a few minutes to pick me up. No complimentary parking even for a few minutes for pickup. The only food besides roomservice available was at the bar. Went to restraunt and had to pay $8 to park. Also no bags provided when items purchased at shops. Who wants to walk around town carrying items..... November 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Room not cleaned Just came back to my room, 826. It is 8.40pm and the room has not been cleaned. I am staying for three nights and am been charged an amount in excess of $2,000 due to some events in town. At this rate not even having the room cleaned is simply unacceptable. November 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great clean hotel, with some needed improvements I stayed here for a few days for a conference and arrived late at night. The staff was quick to help get me in and easily available for services, requests, and room service. The hotel is clean, staff is great and rooms are clean. Room service was timely, delicious and reliable. As for critiques, I had made a club room reservation, which is overrated at this hotel. The club room, while always available, rarely has food in it, other than drinks. The food was sub-par at best and would not warrant the increased rate, which doesn't include any alcohol. So $30 - $50 for sub-par food/breakfast and soda...is unfounded. As for the room service, while it was good, there was a delivery charge (which I never understand since there is no other option to pick up the food yourself) when room service implies a delivery and already included a self-satisfying 20%. Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Great Stay The Austin Sheraton is located perfectly, close to major arteries, but away from the congestion of being right smack downtown. Easy to get anywhere. The property is in great condition, and the staff are helpful and friendly. I hadn't visited the hotel in a few years, and it was just as great as the last time we were there. November 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable hotel Hotel has friendly staff who respond quickly to needs. Swimming pool is great, the swimming area has no clock. Was unable to get any hot water in the shower in the men's locker room. Rooms are not very spacious and can hear the trucks on the interstate even on the 14th floor. November 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everyone is happy and helpful Each day I encountered different staff members and I am always greeted with a smile, a hello, a question - how can I help you. The facility is beautiful and has a great flow - I love using the beautiful staircase to move among the meeting rooms. November 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Exceptional Service I just got married in Austin. We didn’t use the Sheraton for the wedding but we did use the hotel for our wedding room block for our out-of-town guests. The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Our families and friends were very happy with the hotel and its staff. The icing on the cake was the bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in our room after our wedding. November 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel needs a lot of help. The rooms are a disgrace. The furniture is all miss matched pieces. The bathroom is old and dirty. There was mold at the bottom of the bathtub around the caulk. The grab bars had rust and mold around them also. The room we had was so small and when asked to move the told us they were 100% full so we had no choice. I found that funny because the other couple we traveled with started screaming and they got moved. Guess it doesn't pay to be nice. The room is so small there is only one place you could put your clothes it was a tiny little closet behind the sink which only had two drawers. I will never return to this hotel and either will the large group who booked this. November 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by sheraton austin Nice hotel, appreciated the lobby hosts at peak hours to direct me to where i was going. October 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff is outstanding The staff in the hotel bar and breakfast area were outstanding. We had a group of 20 people and we had a great time in the lobby bar. The staff made sure we could still get in the hotel even after 2am! October 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by customer service, excellent The people who work at your hotel are definitely caring individuals who want their guests to have a great experience. From the door man to the desk clerks everyone was nice, friendly and quite helpful. They did their best to manage an out of control wedding after party that lasted until 5am October 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely Place to Stay From the moment you pull up out front of the hotel until the minute you depart the service is impeccable! Every staff member understands the real meaning of "customer service". The one and only issue was the "perfume" they pump into the hotel....not my cup of tea. Beds were incredibly comfortable! A really, lovely place to stay! October 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looking forward to my next visit with Sheraton! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Mike the porter/bellman. Registration was quick and effortless. My room was clean, with plenty of storage for everything. Always love the beds! October 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by convention stay the staff of the Austin Sheriton were great, took care of everything I needed, and were friendly and helpful in every way possible. October 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW customer service Well, the hotel is beautiful and not at all what I expected in downtown... hidden gem. The service truly makes the difference.. just Texas-Friendly and over the top. I would not hesitate to stay here again October 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Staff for a great wedding! I can't say enough about how Adela and the rest of the staff made my stay everything I could have dreamt of. I had lost my wedding ceremony site twice before I realized that the Sheraton had everything I needed. I mean the prices alone were incredible! Adela not only helped coordinate everything onsite (including the people) but also preplanned a fantastic rain-back up when a tropical storm suddenly blew through town. Everyone was so kind and helpful, even when dealing with the insanity of ACL weekend in Austin. And my View WAS AMAZING! So happy I decided to book two nights there in addition to the wedding itself despite being a local. Wow! October 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent hotel at best. Not an ideal property in Austin. Located on the highway, outdated building, in need of cleaning and updating. Staff is responsive at best. October 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well situated I had a great stay near the convention center. The amenities, work out facility and overall room size and comfort were fantastic. October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by SVP, Commercial Real Estate Excellent hotel! Excellent Location! October 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by not impressed I stayed at your facility and have to admit, less than impressed. The room seemed of lower quality than a standard Sheraton; the handle on the sink was broken, the mattress was swaying on one side and the overall ambiance of the room was less than impressive. Especially for greater than $250 for the room. On top of it all, as a platinum member, I was charged for the internet service. October 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by short trip Quick first time visit to Austin. Super location for downtown, capital, UT and close to highway for travel. Courteous helpful staff. October 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice hotel but... Nice hotel. Great location. But they didn't give me a receipt before I left, and it's practically impossible to get anyone on the phone afterward. Also, the air conditioner vent blows right at your head when you're in bed. October 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Awesome Nothing special. High priced, uncomfortable beds and pillows. Everything you do costs extra. Not Austin's Finest. Stuck here for a convention meeting. I'll stay elsewhere next time. Couldn't even park my duelly truck in the garage for the self parking fee, had to use valet, parked on the street the entire convention. October 3, 2013
