The hotel standards and service were way below par. My first room assigned -- TV did not work. Secondly, I'm an SPG gold member and hotel attendant (in training) put me in room right next to elevator shaft. My associate that works for me who does not have a Gold membership at SPG got a corner room. How is that? It appears to me that the service at the hotel desk was outsourced (possibly temporarily) to a third party company.
Importantly, no warning of construction going on. The assistant manager said that I should have called to check! Who calls a hotel ahead of their stay? Ever heard of the Internet?
I complained about the noise in the room, could hear elevators. Rep they sent said they've called the elevator repair person! It's clearly not because the elevators are malfunctioning. It's because of the room placement.
Overall a terrible experience that is not typical of my stays. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This hotel was awesome, the staff was second to none I would surely recommend to anyone who wants to stay at a great hotel for an awesome price. The pool and hot tub was iconic. I would definitely stay every time I visit San Antonio Texas. Great Job SPG Team....

Overall, very good experience. My only issue was that the noise from a nearby bar kept me up, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep when I had to get up early for a meeting.

My non-smoking room smelled like someone had been smoking in it for weeks. It had one of the best views I've seen of the Capitol in Texas, and it has great potential with the remodel, but good grief I come to expect more.

This is by far my favorite place to stay in Austin. The location. the employees. the rooms. I am in Austin bi weekly and I choose Sheraton over any hotel. I have cheated a few times lately and each time question my actions. Do yourself a favor and stay here....even if its a few dollars higher.

The 1st clue was the giant dumpster blocking the drive into the hotel....then the white poster bard signs guiding you to a make shift entrance. Next was a make shift check in desk. No lobby, no restaurant (make shift as well). The hotel has no business being open under this condition and the LOUD construction noise going on is ridiculous. Starwood should have warned us about this & let us decide BEFORE we got here if we wanted to stay at a hotel like this. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone & with so many other Starwood hotels in Austin....this is the worst. I have been SPG gold or Platinum for years & this is worst experience

i came for my buddys wedding and everytime i come to austin, i stay here. Highly recommend and they are really good at giving you the deserved upgrade

The reason I selected this hotel was due to location and Club Lounge. Upon check in the desk agent advised me of the lounge location without prompt. I went to the lounge, saw the food menu on the wall, but there was no service to be had. I was later advised the lounge was closed on weekends with no service. I was further advised I would be given some extra points. This simply has not happened. I understand the hotel is being remodeled but. This has nothing to do with a promise not being fulfilled nor the fact I was not given correct information at the front deck not on the website
