Rated 1 out of 5 by Extremely Unpleasant experience I must be one of the most unfortunate customer to stay in this hotel in Macau, which electiricty and water went out for more than 1 hour in my recent stayon Friday. I know, the electric company in Macau may bear the main responsibility, what irritated me most is the lack of crisis management by your Company. On saturday while I was in hotel room taking a nap, since the day before was out of electricity, some rooms, not my room were no electricity again. The speaker on the ceiling kept on repeating the broadcasting messages of this issue in English, Mandarin and Cantonese that was extremely annoying! Bad PA system, loud noise and lots of feedback noise from behind! There is no point to do it for more than one hour of braodcasting, those customers staying in the rooms without electricity would all gone out, and those those stayed in their rooms are with electricity, this is a crazy decision to braodcast non stop. I called the receptionist to stop that but in vain, I asked for the manager to call back, he did apoloize and saying the announcment is 'one to all' , and cannot separate by floors. He then told me a free breakfast will be granted... that night I called the receptionsit to confirm this arrangment in the club lounge. The following morning when I went to the club lounge, my name was there, but the receptionist there told me the breakfast is catered for my next stay, not this time. I felt like I am begging for breakfast, which is very sickening. Although finally they let me in, yet I am extremely upset and as aSPG loyal customer for years, I must say this is extremely intolerable. May 24, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Just Large but Lack of Details For this review, let me start with a few positive things first: This is not the first time I stayed with this hotel, I had been there at least 3 times. The hotel did recognize the SPG status very well, I was upgraded to a better room every time so far. It is a very large hotel with over 4000 rooms, but it doesn't mean that a room is always available. Believe or not, it is in fact hard to find a room with the lower room rate during the weekend. The shuttle service is quite convenient no matter you arrive Macau by air, sea or ground transportation. There are pretty of famous / high end brand stores in the hotel, assuming you are willing to pay the price of the merchandises. Plus, some other casinos and entertainments right next to the hotel in walking distance. In the other words, you won't be bored. On the other hand, it is not always a pleasure to stay in this hotel. As the hotel is huge, there are a lot of people. The lobby is quite messy with a lot of counters for different clubs or purposes. The hotel's customers can be from all over the world, but I found those from mainland China are among the most. They are not necessary to be polite or well-educated people (I am not discriminating them as I am a Chinese too, and I grew up in Macau before moved oversee), but I just found some of the behaviors quite disturbing. Cigarettes can be found on the non-smoking floors, the room as well as those people in the elevator or next to you by no mean can be smelly, I can continue for writing things like this for a while but in short, what I want to say is that this situation makes the hotel less classy if any at all. Sometimes it is not unusual for a hotel to be crowded, it is actually good for the hotel business. This is absolutely understandable, and as a customer, I want the hotel to have good business otherwise it probably won't stay in business for long which mean I won't be able to stay in there next time. But the key is whether I can even find a quiet place when I want to. The answer is probably "no" in this hotel, even the club lounge is packed with people. Another experience is that the service is very inconsistent each time. One day, I was in the club lounge for the happy hour. As there are a lot of people, and I am not as familiar in this hotel comparing to some others in the region that I stay more often, I asked the waiter to bring me a glass of wine. The waiter told me that I should serve myself for wine or drinks during happy hour. He said that he can do it for me this time, but only this time. This is a quite eye-opening response that I received especially in a SPG club lounge. Don't take it wrong, I actually don't mind to serve myself for drinks or food, in the opposite, I preferred to do so in the club lounges of many other hotels especially those I go often. In this case, it is the response that the waiter from a SPG club lounge surprised me... speechless. Food quality of this hotel is so so... I don't think it can represent the real food special for Macau. All in all, if you are a SPG club member and you absolutely want to stay in a SPG chain, then I guess you don't have much choice in Macau until the St. Regis opens by the end of 2015 or later. Though, I am not sure the St. Regis is going to be better or not, it could be just the quality of the labor market in Macau and/or source of customers for the hotels in Macau May 24, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by you can do better than this The check-in staff were not attentive at all, I don't think trainee is a good excuse anyway. I had room service and buffet in Feast, both were disappointed. Beef was overcooked for my room service order. The food quality and staff attitude at Feast were just speechless (just the cashier is alright). However check-out experience was impressive as the girl (Ms.Lam) had tried to ask how was my overall staying experience and I can feel her sincerity. May 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Service needs improvement We unfortunately are a bit disappointed with the hotel, though it had all the typical amenity of a Sheraton (fairly new one as well), its service does not up to par of what I would have expected. Given it is a holiday weekend and it is on a casino premise, we have expected it to be busy and perhaps a bit less attentative during that period, but the service was consistently horrible. The SPG check-in was more than routine, no recognition what so ever, and check out was even worse, not even a hello or goodbye (too busy apparently). Furthermore, no one seems to have the right information when we tried to eat at the onsite restaurant, first, the price listed on the website is 20% less than what the actual price at the restaurant, apparently the current price has not been updated, the discount for a child is 50% per front desk and 40% per the restaurant. We did not feel like to get into any argument but it is nevertheless disappointing. In addition, one day we were out all day and got back to the hotel at 5pm, and found out the room was still not cleaned, we were told it would be cleaned by the next shift, and guess what when the next shift arrived at 7pm, they insisted we should leave the room asap so they can begin cleaning... As a life time gold memeber, this experience certainly doesnt feel like a gold member or any member at all... May 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Strongly recommend! It's GREAT The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel size is amazing - it is said this is the largest Sharon in the world!!!! The shuttle bus is convenient and very frequent. It's easy to take shuttle bus to airport/port etc... May 1, 2015
