Rated 4 out of 5 by Rosco2014 Sheraton San Francisco
Rooms are very clean. The window opens to allow fresh air in. The staff are awesome and helped us make great restaurant selections. The coffee shop in the lobby is too expensive. The hotel is right off the main strip of the wharfs so expect lots of noise and activity late into the night. Overall, very good experience.

Starwoods should be embarrassed to have this hotel as part of the system, it is LOUSY. Of course the location is good, but the physial condition of the hotel is poor. Wallpaper was peeling of the wall, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom fixtures were old and not good. I would advise anyone needing to stay in the Pier 39 area to stay anywhere but this hotel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bud1962 Close to Everything
Not a bad place to stay, but not great either. AC in the room was poor, hotel is OK. Is close to everything, so once we had the car parked ($46.00 a night) we did everything else on foot. Location is very good. Not much info. available at the otel on the local places to visit, eat or... Had to venture out and find it ourselves.
Hotel staff was friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pbrmac Fantastic staff
This is convenient to Fisherman's Wharf and walking distance to many SF features. The staff is amazing. Very responsive and pleasant. The one glaring weakness of this hotel is the lack of complimentary WiFi. I would never stay at this location on business travel for this reason alone. However, for vacation it was great

Rated 2 out of 5 by Alext43 Old apartment complex with a facelift....
I was very excited about staying here especially given the multi-million $$ makeover. Sadly I was disappointed with the property - despite new paint and carpet it just felt old. Additionally it was noisy at night because its next to a bus depot and there was construction going on. To boot our shower broke mid-stay.....
All in all a disappointing stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Johnny327 reservation problems left bad taste
Hotel was fine, but reservation was supposed to be for a king/sleeper for $167 a night, but at check in was given two doubles at $252 - not happy checking on line there were rooms for $199 - clerk said they would check to see if we could get that rate - did not.... I know we will not stay at a SPG hotel if at all possible.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by Buchanan Room on small size, though location great
Whilst location was fantastic the room was very small, in particular the bathroom and storage space. No free wi-fi in room which was inconvenient though it was available in lobby. Toiletries kept to a minimum and i had to ask for extra. Overall would say suitable for a couple but not for a family unless suites are available (none free for our stay)

Rated 3 out of 5 by escape76 Great location - staff ok
Location is excellent - hotel has been upgraded inside altho on the outside might not look as pleasant. The rooms are nice. Showers need work. Staff are mediocre. Concierge was not that great - neither were the valet folks. I'm used to high quality SPG staff. They were what I'd find at any other hotel brand. Also the coffee shop QUITE expensive!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Whatever64 This Hotel Needs the SPG Touch
Not recognized as an SPG member when I entered. T.V. set had to be "reset" by maintenance and this is apparently an issue with these new TVs. 2 out 3 main elevators were down during my stay.
$50/day parking on top of that room rate for an SPG Gold member???

Rated 5 out of 5 by zlzoul Excellent Location and Service
This location is soooooo convenient, great for tourism. The breakfast restaurant was quite small, and when there are some tourist groups it may become congested. Fortunately there is no group during christmas :)
The room was awesome! Decorations are quite fashionable.
Front desk, concierge and restaurant staff are very helpful in every aspects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by J123456789 No Club Lounge
I just stayed at the hotel for the Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge and was very dissapointed to find out the hotel has no Club Lounge. And the "breakfast" offered as Platinum Amenity would have been a "boxed breakfast" and not a "sit-down breakfast". Happily the emberassed front desk member warned me about this when I made my decission.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BusinessTravler Convenient hotel
The hotel is well situated to downtown San Francisco and they staff can get you a cab anywhere in the city in short order.
I think that the hotel was acceptable but it is starting to show its age compared to some of the other available hotels in the same price category. The rooms are clean if a little aged and the staff polite and competent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LJH444 Great staff, excellent location
Even though the hotel was quite busy the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is fantastic as it is close to many of the tourist areas. Not the best for business but unbeatable for vacation. Very limited food on premise but close to many restaurants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandy65 Great location, friendly and helpful staff
Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Printed our electronic Alcatraz tickets for free. Valet parking was very responsive, we had our car within 5 minutes of our request. Everyone was willing to take the time to give directions to local attractions. Room was clean and functional. The hotel was within walking distance of many local attractions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Middlesail Service Excellence and location for Fisherman's Wharff
All of the staff we encountered during our overnight stay were excellent. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. Everyone from the front desk, the bellman, parking attendants, maintenance workers, and concierge delivered great service and were very personable. The location was perfect for spending time at the Wharf. Can't get any closer!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mandy44 House keeping needs improvement
We checked into our room in the afternoon then headed out to see some sights.when we returned to our room we found the door had been left open by housekeeping. We were lucky that nothing had been taken. It was 24hours later that we were contacted by management to see if we were missing anything. Not acceptable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brian321 All good but to the end.
Overall a very nice stay, the location is perfect for those who want to travel on foot or grab a cable car. The issue did not come till the end, the valet got vehicle, and once we entered it the distinct and heavy smell of pot filled our lungs. Brand new 2013 Jeep and the entire interior wreaked of the stuff, there goes that new car smell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EspenK OK stay at The Wharf
Centrally located at Fisherman's Whart this is an OK hotel with OK facilities. Being in the SPG group I was a little bit disappointed that the hotel did not live up to those standards, but value for your money is also OK. If you plan to go downtown that is a longer walk or a cab ride away, but the hotel is a good alternative when in SF.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AnneC86 Convenient location
The hotel was a short walk to many attractions in the Fisherman's Wharf area.
The front desk and concierge were very helpful.
Rooms were comfortable; however, the noise from the street below in the early morning hours was loud enough to wake us....and we were on the 4th floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by QRS5 Great Location
We stayed for 7 nights. Location was great and the staff was very friendly. Right next to a Safeway grocery and IHOP to keep meal cost down for a family. Really convenient to the Wharf and lots of other stores. Didn't need a car to get around. They have a car rental office right on site if you need one for the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dc21 Sorry this one seem to have issues with my skin color.
The hotel was OK and most of the staff excellent. Their were a few staff members that had some serious issues. They where rude and disrespectful. I do not pay my money to be treated this way. I feel sorry for the majority of the staff was excellent but for what we pay to stay there I don't expect or appreciate the disrespect I received.

We recently stayed at your Hotel in April 2014. We found it close to everything, and the staff were great especially Jen on the concierge was excellent, she got us Tickets for the Giants Indians baseball game, they were good seats. All so booked a tour for us to Yosemite National Park, it was great, Thank you we enjoyed our stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dosie Very clean, comfortable!
My daughter and I were on a Mom/Daughter trip to San Francisco and stayed at the Sheraton. Our room was very comfortable, crisp and clean, nice decor. Everyone was very helpful. My concern was not enough man power at the concierge desk during the morning/early afternoon hours - we had to leave after waiting at least 20 minutes 3 times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MattLS Need improvement
The staff was very slow to respond to needs, the beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy. The rooms seemed out of date. The highlight of the hotel was its close proximity to the wharf and the fire pits. The value proposition is not there. The room was way overpriced for the service provided.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Omen Parking Garage Sucks
Very bad system. Getting in and out of garage needs to be changed. Way to customer unfriendly. Staff needs to explain in detail how this very poor system works. If you make a mistake you have to make a u-turn in an unsaft manner and then drive the wrong way on a one way lane which almost caused an accident. I will NOT stay here again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AS96 Great Location
We were on holiday so we were excited about how easy it was to get to attractions and fantastic food options. The hotel was comfortable and clean. We didn't rent a car and found that we didn't need to since the buses, trolleys, and taxis were readily available. The fitness room was great since it had a good variety of new equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Maui27 Best Location
My wife and I both greatly enjoyed the perfect location and proximity to public transportation and great restaurants. The staff was supportive and gave us the local insights to make best use of our time in San Francisco. I am not sure when we will be going back to S.F. ,but when we do I am sure we will reserve a room there again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by desertreb too little for the price
Beds and pillow choice were excellent. However, there were no mini-fridges or microwaves or free wi-fi. That coupled with a $50 per day parking that was kept secret till you got there really added unexpected costs and diminished the experience. It this was Joe Crab's hotel, fine, but a Sheraton? Very disappointing. Also no spa.

Other than convenient location I would not stay at this location again. Climate control for room was difficult at best, room was noisy street cars all night. Restaraunts at hotel were overpriced and limited. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Kudos to staff but the hotel needs work and to relook their pricing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ron384 Very expensive
No reading material featuring local sights, etc. Things added to the bill were out of sight !! San Fran has the ability to charge high fees, but seems un-american.. Lobby bar prices get near Piracy. Desk personnel were outstanding. Just an average room, and except for the location to the Wharf, not worth the money !!!
