Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Wharf Escape Thomas, the Concierge, was grand! Helped with full day - from breakfast to dinner and spots in between. Even though quite busy (weekend & football game), they were very helpful & friendly. Arrived late on Fri and first night was only OK, but they kindly called Sat to upgrade me to a grand room in recognition of my Starwood status. Martini was good, but servers did bicker. Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT HOTEL From the minute I arrived at the hotel to the time that I left the hotel, the service was OUTSTANDING! I was checked in right away. The ambiance in the room was very relaxing, lots of room, great coffee and the bed was comfortable. It was very clean throughout the entire hotel as well as in my room (No strange odors). I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you! September 30, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by House keeping needs improvement We checked into our room in the afternoon then headed out to see some sights.when we returned to our room we found the door had been left open by housekeeping. We were lucky that nothing had been taken. It was 24hours later that we were contacted by management to see if we were missing anything. Not acceptable. July 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf This hotel has a GREAT location. It is NOT family friendly in that it does not have free Wi-Fi, no refridgerators in the rooms, no complimentary breakfast & the parking fee is ASTRONOMICAL! It is clean & quiet ! And the staff was nice. August 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room availability i have specifically ordered a room with a purifier /allergen free. the time i have arrived they were trying to convinced me that the room isn't available and i have to take a regular room. If hotel is charging me for allergen free room you would think to keep one available for the guest. if you can't commit to that then don't sale a package that can't be delivered. December 13, 2013

However, the lighting in the bathroom could be different as it lights up the entire room while others are sleeping. July 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Need improvement The staff was very slow to respond to needs, the beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy. The rooms seemed out of date. The highlight of the hotel was its close proximity to the wharf and the fire pits. The value proposition is not there. The room was way overpriced for the service provided. July 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not What I Expected Great location.... however the hotel is old and outdated. I read about a huge remodel that had taken place, but it was not obvious to me. Small rooms, very small and outdated bathrooms, crowded and noisy lobby. I will not stay here again. August 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location We stayed for 7 nights. Location was great and the staff was very friendly. Right next to a Safeway grocery and IHOP to keep meal cost down for a family. Really convenient to the Wharf and lots of other stores. Didn't need a car to get around. They have a car rental office right on site if you need one for the day. June 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible Starwoods should be embarrassed to have this hotel as part of the system, it is LOUSY. Of course the location is good, but the physial condition of the hotel is poor. Wallpaper was peeling of the wall, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom fixtures were old and not good. I would advise anyone needing to stay in the Pier 39 area to stay anywhere but this hotel. Is close to everything, so once we had the car parked ($46.00 a night) we did everything else on foot. Location is very good. Not much info. available at the otel on the local places to visit, eat or... Had to venture out and find it ourselves. Hotel staff was friendly. July 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Old apartment complex with a facelift.... I was very excited about staying here especially given the multi-million $$ makeover. Sadly I was disappointed with the property - despite new paint and carpet it just felt old. Additionally it was noisy at night because its next to a bus depot and there was construction going on. To boot our shower broke mid-stay..... All in all a disappointing stay. July 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room on small size, though location great Whilst location was fantastic the room was very small, in particular the bathroom and storage space. No free wi-fi in room which was inconvenient though it was available in lobby. Toiletries kept to a minimum and i had to ask for extra. Overall would say suitable for a couple but not for a family unless suites are available (none free for our stay) July 31, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location - staff ok Location is excellent - hotel has been upgraded inside altho on the outside might not look as pleasant. The rooms are nice. Showers need work. Staff are mediocre. Concierge was not that great - neither were the valet folks. I'm used to high quality SPG staff. They were what I'd find at any other hotel brand. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Location and Service This location is soooooo convenient, great for tourism. The breakfast restaurant was quite small, and when there are some tourist groups it may become congested. Fortunately there is no group during christmas :) The room was awesome! Decorations are quite fashionable. Front desk, concierge and restaurant staff are very helpful in every aspects. December 26, 2012

We found it close to everything, and the staff were great especially Jen on the concierge was excellent, she got us Tickets for the Giants Indians baseball game, they were good seats. All so booked a tour for us to Yosemite National Park, it was great, Thank you we enjoyed our stay. May 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by No Club Lounge I just stayed at the hotel for the Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge and was very dissapointed to find out the hotel has no Club Lounge. And the "breakfast" offered as Platinum Amenity would have been a "boxed breakfast" and not a "sit-down breakfast". Happily the emberassed front desk member warned me about this when I made my decission. May 31, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Convenient hotel The hotel is well situated to downtown San Francisco and they staff can get you a cab anywhere in the city in short order. I think that the hotel was acceptable but it is starting to show its age compared to some of the other available hotels in the same price category. The rooms are clean if a little aged and the staff polite and competent. February 9, 2013

Frustrating they had no restaurant and had to eat dinner in an area attached to lobby. Great location and we were able to walk to most places. June 18, 2014

Valet parking was very responsive, we had our car within 5 minutes of our request. Everyone was willing to take the time to give directions to local attractions. Room was clean and functional. The hotel was within walking distance of many local attractions. October 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Service Excellence and location for Fisherman's Wharff All of the staff we encountered during our overnight stay were excellent. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. Everyone from the front desk, the bellman, parking attendants, maintenance workers, and concierge delivered great service and were very personable. The location was perfect for spending time at the Wharf. Can't get any closer! December 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by OK stay at The Wharf Centrally located at Fisherman's Whart this is an OK hotel with OK facilities. Being in the SPG group I was a little bit disappointed that the hotel did not live up to those standards, but value for your money is also OK. If you plan to go downtown that is a longer walk or a cab ride away, but the hotel is a good alternative when in SF. March 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by All good but to the end. Overall a very nice stay, the location is perfect for those who want to travel on foot or grab a cable car. The issue did not come till the end, the valet got vehicle, and once we entered it the distinct and heavy smell of pot filled our lungs. Brand new 2013 Jeep and the entire interior wreaked of the stuff, there goes that new car smell. November 7, 2013

They where rude and disrespectful. I do not pay my money to be treated this way. I feel sorry for the majority of the staff was excellent but for what we pay to stay there I don't expect or appreciate the disrespect I received. July 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very clean, comfortable! My daughter and I were on a Mom/Daughter trip to San Francisco and stayed at the Sheraton. Our room was very comfortable, crisp and clean, nice decor. Everyone was very helpful. My concern was not enough man power at the concierge desk during the morning/early afternoon hours - we had to leave after waiting at least 20 minutes 3 times. Rated 3 out of 5 by Parking Garage Sucks Very bad system. Getting in and out of garage needs to be changed. Way to customer unfriendly. Staff needs to explain in detail how this very poor system works. If you make a mistake you have to make a u-turn in an unsaft manner and then drive the wrong way on a one way lane which almost caused an accident. I will NOT stay here again. October 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by great location for tourist activities Just a block off the Wharf & a few more to Pier 39. Lots of stuff to do & see. Easy access to bus, cable car, taxi, or just walk like we did. Hotel is a little older, but has been remodeled tactfully. Rooms are small, but clean. All staff that we interacted with was friendly. June 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location We were on holiday so we were excited about how easy it was to get to attractions and fantastic food options. The hotel was comfortable and clean. We didn't rent a car and found that we didn't need to since the buses, trolleys, and taxis were readily available. The fitness room was great since it had a good variety of new equipment.
