The hotel was spacious and nicely decorated. The atomosphere was very inviting. The rooms and amenities were very good.

Overall a very good experience. We arrived very late as our flight was delayed. When we arrived to the hotel the restaurant had closed (no problem with that). However, the only option the front desk could offer us was a McDonalds about 10 minutes away (Not an option for my family). We set out to find a place for something light and found Smokey Bones (open until 2AM). My suggestion is that the front desk staff have a list of restaurants in the area and their hours of operation for those unfortunate times when guest have been delayed and famished upon arrival. Having salads at the gift shop would have solved the problem. Ask not to be put in the corner of the hotel, after a very long day & night, we awoke the next morning to the roaring of HVAC units on the roof just above the corner room we had been assigned. Needless to say we moved rooms as we were staying for another 2 days.

Have no complaints other than there was construction going on continuously during my 6 day stay often beginning around 8 am. Lots of banging, etc. No chance of sleeping in even over the weekend. The room was spacious and the staff did what they could to accommodate. Wish we had had the option to change hotels before arriving though. Otherwise, would recommend the hotel under normal circumstances.

Every day, same exact choices, which were not many. I especially disliked the microwave pancakes that were put out. No offer of making your eggs in a different way, or the offer or an omelette or waffle. I ate less and less each day as I just couldn't bear to eat the same thing every day. The buffet came with the room package or I would have passed it up altogether.

I've stayed at this property a number of times now, and always been please with the facilities and the service. It's a great location adjacent to shopping and amenities, with spotless, comfortable rooms, a lovely rooftop pool and workout facility. They were in the middle of a major program to renovate windows when I was there, so I was glad to see them continuing to invest in the property!

This is the best hotel in fort lauderdale for a reasonable price. Especially if you use your aaa membership you get even a better rate. I had a jacuzzi suite and i have to say that everything was clean. A/c was great. No complaints with the room and the price. Location is great not to far from sawgrass,swap shop or beach. At least 15 minute drive to each of them. Everything is in close proximity. The food for breakfast is really basic and they charge for that. I think they shouldnt it reminds of a elementary school breakfast. Thats my only complaint. One thing I was impressed with is that i requested mouthwash,toothbrush,toothpaste and showercap to be brought up to the room. 30 minutes later i received a courtsey call asking if i received all my items in a timely manner. Pool and fitness center is amazing. Its very clean and on located on the roof.Keep up the good work just improve on the breakfast.

I chose this hotel for it's location.Rooms are confortable,although sofa bed in one ocassion had worn down matress and staff said "that's the way they are".
although staff is friendly I have not yet received reply on a refund for a cancelled night.I went back to staff and they kept telling me I would get it but I haven't.
All things considered I would still recommended for it's value.

My SPG status was never mentioned during the check in process and I paid for this stay with points. Before I walked away I asked the woman who checked me in if there was a lounge. She then told me they didn't have one and where I could get complimentary breakfast. Why not tell me all of that when I checked in? My loyalty earned those points and its nice for that the be recognized.

The appearance and friendliness of the staff in person is amazing! However, if you have to call them for any reason, be prepared to wait over 15 minutes for a response. They told me they would shuttle me within 3 miles and I could call to be picked up. However, calling to be picked up BOTH times resulted in wait times of over 15 minutes before I could even talk to someone.

Everything was just superb. My stay was one of the best experiences I have had while staying at a hotel. The front desk staff were incredible. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant was excellent. It was obvious that Sheraton Suites Plantation is an excellently run facility and extremely well maintained. Will definfinely stay there when I return to the area.

I cannot believe this hotel is able to keep its "Sheraton" and "Starwood" status. If I listed the amount of issues I experienced here, I would need two pages, but I will list the main ones:
1- Upon check-in the front desk staff provided me the key to my room, which when I entered was messy and still occupied. It was very uncomfortable.
2- Construction started at around 7:30 AM each morning so I had to deal with loud drilling each morning of my stay. I overheard a couple of other guests complaining about the same issue.
3- Food at the restaurant is poor. Service needs a lot of improvement.
4- The room cleaning staff is very loud. Every morning I was either woken up early by the drilling of the construction or the housekeeping crew screaming to one another from the hallways, or slamming doors outside the rooms. Obviously they are not trained well. I had to tell them to keep it down on three occasions.
6- The hotel front desk staff told me I got Starwood Preferred Member points for the bad experiences, but seemed like they did not care much.

This Sheraton sits between two abandoned buildings, which creates an eery, unattractive feeling. As is, the price should be greatly discounted, but it is not.
In addition, while the room came with the breakfast buffet included, it was entirely unreasonable to expect the guest, me, to sit down, order coffee, wait for the bill when all I wanted was a yogurt or a pastry.

I love this hotel, just disappointed that we had a problem with my credit card on check in on September 20th 2013 and had to us emy sister credit card, and found out that I was unable to get any starwood points.

We enjoyed our stay--the luxury suite was very comfortable, clean, spacious & quiet. The lobby's décor was pleasing to the eye too! The front desk, concierge, house-keeping & breakfast staffs were friendly & most helpful. We would definitely stay there again especially since it was so easy to book online! Keep up the great work!

Upon checking into my room on Thursday @ 1:30 am, I was greeted in the living room area by a large, brown (beetle type) bug on the carpet. Upon inspection it was dead, so given the time of day, my wife and I decided to stay in the room for the evening. Against my better judgment, we also kept the room for our entire stay (4 days). When leaving our room later that morning around 10:30 am (which was prior to the room being cleaned), we left the bug laying exactly where we found it on the carpet. When we returned to our room later that day (around 3:30) and after it had been "supposedly" cleaned for the day, much to our disgust, we found the dead bug lying in exactly the same place "untouched" although the room had been supposedly cleaned, and the bug was in plain sight that anyone walking into the room would have saw it. At that point my wife picked up the dead bug and threw it into the hallway where it was finally picked up the next morning. To top things off, Saturday at approximately 1 pm, my wife and I entered the elevator on the 6th floor only to have the doors get stuck, and they remained so for 45 minutes, until they finally opened after maintenance staff and I believe an asst. mgr. attempted numerous measures to open them. At which point we received an "I'm sorry" from the assistant manager and that was the last we heard about our "adventure"!

This is one of the nicest hotels within this price range. It offers free parking and free wi fi. It has a nice root top pool.
The fitness center is adequate. The staff is OUTSTANDINGH!. This is probably the best value in the Miami Fort Lauderdale area.
I have been a Starwood Preferred Guest member since Feb 2000 and this is a great value.

Extremely friendly staff. From front desk and restaurant staff to the cleaning crew. I travel worldwide and stay mostly on Sheraton hotels. This one is one of the nicest! Why? The Staff! Thanks for making me fell really welcome!

The suites have a comfortable bed with good bedding,
The bathroom is large and comfortable,
The sitting /living room is the best feature, allowing for great space and a feeling of home comfort.

Just as i walked in the lobby doors i was greeted with a burst of fresh clean air. I was amazed how fresh and "new" it smelt at midnight. That was pretty impressive. From the lobby to the hotel room was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall a wonderful experience and I will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Free computer area in bar nice addition. Couldn't get staff attention in restaurant, so went elsewhere for lunch. Room service portions are huge, but quality of food is only average. Rooms are very spacious, but bathroom is old and out-dated. Could use a good renovation throughout.

I was with my family 3 nights. The hotel is good, good facilities, localization and comfortable. The negative were that my SPG points were not charged to my acount and neither received any courtesy at my check in. I have called to SPG 2 times to claim my starpoints. I suggest more tv family and cartoons channels.

The restaurant service was extremely slow if one wanted to order a la carte for breakfast. The front desk staff were at times feisty, non responsive and condescending.
Using the lobby computers to print out a document other than from a website was confusing and time consuming and there was no one able to assist.

This is a nice hotel with and excellent friendly staff that is helpful to all the customer needs. for me it is a home far away from home . Has a nice pool on the top floor as well
the only con is that it is a 20 minutes drive form the beach or from Dtown Fort lauderdale but you can do that quite quickly.

I was looking for a place that provided transportation to and from a cruise ship and found this Sheraton listed as free to from ship and free parking while you're gone. After we arrived, the desk clerk said that they did not provide the services described on the internet. -- Hello? Probably won't be back.

My stay was excellent. The only issue is the availability of carts to assist in the transfer of personal items. After making 5 trips back and forth to my room to take my luggage, no one had brought a cart to my room. Other than that, everything was great.

It is unheard of today not to have wifi in the hotel rooms. Wifi is only available in the lobby and it's spotty at best.
The bathroom door needed replacement; the bottom panel was very obviously chipped. Walls needed painting.
Starwoods needs to keep abreast of quality control.

I was able to book a room at the last minute and at a great price. The suite was updated, comfortable and clean. I was very pleased. The quality of the food was very good and priced reasonably as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
