This hotel is right in the city centre and makes it so easy to get around. Once you in the room you wouldn't know you were in the city...Very quite. Staff were so very helpful and always said hello. Breakfast was amazing!! (Wexford blue cheese....wow!).

We stayed for 2 nights on our way back from Galway to Dublin. The hotel is very impressive looking - when entering through the underground car park it reminded me of hotels I've stayed in in America. We were ungraded to a room on the 7th foor with views of Athlone. The restaurant was very nice, we both enjoyed out meal and the waitress was excellent. We had drinks in the hotel bar on both nights as there was entertainment. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was excellent-check in service was exceptional as I had just had an accident with my car in the car park-VERY helpful and understanding staff. I had planned the trip for4 months so having a mishap upon arrival was disappointing but the staff and mgr on duty were more than attentive and very helpful in getting things straigntened out. I appreciated that more than I can say......Food choices and quality were excellent as well!! I am already planning a return visit.

Beautiful hotel, very efficient and pleasant staff, however bar food prices were too high for the quality of the food received e.g. nachos on the light bites menu, basically a plate of nachos with chopped tomatoes and spring onions, topped with melted cheese, guacamole NOT fresh!! Disappointing quilt on bed, not only too thin but also too small, only just reached the edge of the bed. Rooms were very clean but did not have a guest info booklet. Overall a pleasant stay but definitely could do better.

I highly recommend this property. I stayed here as a half-way point between Dublin and Galway. I had stayed at another SPG property in Dublin and was hesitant about Athlone because of the points required for redemption. This hotel far exceeded my expectations. They maintain a wonderful property. The front desk staff is outstanding and truly recognized my standing as a Starwood Gold Member. When back in Ireland, I will be sure to stay again!

We have stayed in Sheraton Athlone 3 times now. Our family has grown over time, so finding a spaceous family room for 2 adults, 2 children and a baby can be a challenge. The Sheraton Athlone is the nicest we have stayed in for a family break. Family rooms are so spaceous, decorated lovely and modern and quiet. Hotel pools are a lovely warm temperature when you want to put all children in (including 9 month old). Buffet breakfast has a vast selection of foods for every palate. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Even with me being a coeliac they know whats gluten free for evening dining. Kids really enjoyed the kids club, Harvester Cafe for lunch has a great choice of food. Even location in Athlone is great, very central and love that it's within elevator ride of the Shopping Centre - everybody's happy! Very impressed. Will be back again thanks.

Hi Team:
We spent 2 nights at this hotel...the staff especially Olivia was very helpful and personable...they treated us like family...we felt pampered.
The Bar Manager, Abdullah was also very very attentive to our needs...he personally took the time to chat with us...gave us some tips about the local area etc.
Our room was amazing...the views! We picked Athlone on a whim...very glad we did! Will share with our friends as well.

Have been frequently visiting Athlone over last 4 years and have been staying at sheraton since last 2-3yrs. I am not finding a good reason to change :).
Quality of service has only improved, excellent facilities and staff is always very accommodating. Gym/pool though not big are very refreshing.
Have always visited on business but surely would want to visit with family as athlone is conveniently located both to galway/Dublin.
