Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Tel Aviv The Hotel is the perfect spot for all level of visitors to Tel Aviv. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are nice and I has a nice view of the beach from my balcony. The beach is easily accessed. There are many restaurants on the beach. I would definitely recommend the Sheraton Tel Aviv. Rated 5 out of 5 by Home away from home! I stay at the Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel each and everytime I visit Tel Aviv. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Henri Levy at the front desk welcomes me like an old friend. Miki Erez and Marylin both made sure that my requests were taken care of on the spot. Michael from the 18th Floor, since there are two Michael's, has a HUGE smile when he sees me in the lounge and always asks me how I'm doing. Devorah is the person who creates the most beautiful flower arrangements for the hotel. She even made me a going away flower arrangement this time around and told me to give her a heads up when I return in September so she can have something for me in the room. What service! Rated 5 out of 5 by tier 1 lounge we stayed in a suite (night award) which was very convenient. was happily surprised by the renovated lounge. i am staying in many lounges across the word and the Sheraton Tel Aviv definitely became part of the leading ones. July 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Disappointing The location on the beach and the view from the room were great. Food and service in the Tower lounge were excellent. However, the Tower Suites concierge was much more interested in the American corporate customers than an independent traveller. In general, my Platinum status was not very important and it proved difficult to get some help from staff. Staff at the front desk were actually rude at times. March 24, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by rude hotel staff tThe room assigned to me was a physically challenged room and the air conditioning did not work. I asked the reception staff to change my room and was met with rudeness! I was told that this is the hotel's busy season and that they were fully booked. My choice was to go to the room and wait for someone to come and see if they could fix the air conditioner. It was late at night and I was tired. the only other option was a room over over the pool area. July 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Changes since the change of GM I have been staying at this property for 30 or so years, 20 - 30 days a year. Until about a year ago, as a platinum SPG member I was always upgraded to a suite, got some gifts in the room (fruit, chocolate, etc) and a welcome letter from the GM. The paper of my choice was always delivered to my door. The last few stays, upgrade was not available (this last time, at 6:30 PM even my not upgraded room was not ready, so after some unpleasantness, suddenly a suite became available) but no fruit and no paper still. I had not known that there was a change in GM and just found out. I guess these are new policies and Platinum guests, who frequent the property for decades are not as important. Too bad. Rated 2 out of 5 by A few inexpensive improvements would go a long way. There are a few inexpensive improvements that would really help improve the stay. 1. Concierge and Front Desk. The staff knows very little about the area, and are not helpful. I asked for help with 3 simple requests, and was given no information, or wrong information. Within 2 days of just walking the neighborhood, I learned what i needed. The staff needs some basic information. 2. HATE THE MINIBAR WEIGHT PADS. If your child picks up one bottle - you are charged even if it is not used. Frustrating and ridiculous. Plus, there is no room in the fridge to put your own drink (unless you pick up a bottle and --- you are charged.) This is a very low-end system and needs to be scrapped. 3. No folding chairs on the terraces? Would it be hard to place a couple of folding chairs on the terrace so someone could sit and enjoy the view? Had to pull the big leather chair out there. 4. What's with the tiny, tiny wastepaper baskets in the bathrooms? Cheap looking. 5. Front Desk staff - iffy. Some nice, some not nice at all. But - I will complement: the maid service. Very nice ladies and good services. And they guys at the desk going out to the beach. All very sweet. And the buffet breakfast was great. Someone from Starwood should stay in one of the rooms for a few nights - and the ways to improve will be obvious. I get the feeling no one from the company has given 5 minutes thought to what this hotel needs. July 7, 2014
