Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has many positive features. I travelled here with my daughter for a holiday. The staff are very friendly and helpful from check in to check out The lounge offers a variety of choices at breakfast and evening times. We went to restaurants a few times (the portions are very generous), but when we wanted lighter fare we ate in the lounge and enjoyed what was offered. The lounge staff was excellent. We received a very nice upgrade into a junior suite, so my daughter had her own loft with an en suite. She also had a massage in the spa which she found to be very good. The fitness center has a good selection of equipment. The hotel is close to tram and subway connections and Wenseslas square, the trains station, opera, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square are all within easy walking distance. May 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice staff, pricey extras. Our recent stay at the Sheraton Prague was great. The hotel is located within walking distance of public transport and the Wenceslas Square area. The staff was friendly and mostly helpful. Our room was always clean, but there was lots of noise from the hallway (you always knew when someone was out there). My biggest gripe was the prices for breakfast, which was way out of line with local restaurant prices. Other than that, a nice clean place. May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice and good hotel The Hotel is well located near the central historic area but at the same time in an area easily reachable by car and other transportations. The service is very good and the rooms are nice. May 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beware of Suite Night Awards I used SPG Suite Night Awards to upgrade a 5 night stay but the design and maintenance of the room made it feel like a downgrade and resulted in 4 nights of uncomfortable sleep. The cooling unit in the sleeping area was broken and that area became unbearably hot at night. Management finally relented with a move to a proper suite on the last night but only after raising my voice at the front desk and threatening to call SPG. The "suite" was an attic room with no window, only 6 very small skylights and no view. The bed was located on a narrow ledge above the sitting area. There was no daylight in the very dark sleeping area and the slope of the roof was such that you hit your head if you did not duck when approaching the bed. The bed was far below Sheraton Sweet Sleeper standard with just a rough gauze underpad. Searches on SPG.com evidenced that proper suite rooms were available but each day I complained management insisted that was not so. In exasperation, on the 4th day I showed the receptionist the SPG search results on my iPad and loudly complained that I had not had a decent sleep for 4 nights and was not going to tolerate that for the last night of my vacation. Mysteriously a new room was "found" and it looked just like the suites on the hotel website! Suite Night Awards are portrayed as an upgrade benefit earned by SPG Platinum members but in practice that may not be the case. Members should not have to fight to get decent accommodation and the hotel management should take responsibility for the hotel's shortcomings instead of hovering in the background and leaving the front desk staff to fend off the customers. May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic stay We had a great time in Prague. Really enjoyed this Sheraton. Ckeck in was the best one we ever experienced. All Staff was very friendliy and helpful. Stayed in a Spacious suite - loved the bathroom! The only little downside: Cocktails at the bar where disappointing. May 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best Sheraton As a Sheraton this hotel is really outstanding. Friendly and efficient service,in almost all aspects, housekeeping, club lounge, reception. Staff is well trained and with a smile. The concierge could be better, but for a Sheraton is o.k. Food is o.k. If you want to eat inside, but with so many good restaurants around is better to taste real Czech flavours around. Overall the hotel is perfect for business, but but has a big disadvantage for holidays. Its location. It is around 20-25 minutes walking from the old town and in the middle of nowhere as touristic attractions are relatively far, exept some particular night clubs that they are around....
