The hotel is not ideally located close to the city centers and the airport shuttle only goes about 5-6 times a day,which is not ideal for those transiting. The only thing it is located close to is the Marina and a not so interesting mall across the street. The indoor pool is fairly small for a hotel so large, although the staff at the spa and gym are very pleasant and friendly. We were quoted 50 Euro/each for the breakfast, which seems quite extraordinary. For a $350 room, it just does not live up to expectation and would be more reasonable at half the cost.

Stayed there for one night in April to attend a fair. As I arrived late in the evening, I enjoyed the short ride from IST airport. Check-in was smooth, but - even though I stayed there before - they were not aware of my Platinum Status.
Nobody expained me the Platinum benefits to be recived at this hotel.
Rooms were ok, but no suite upgrade offered.
Breakfast was decent, but nothing special. Check-Out smooth without any problems.
Again, if you wanna stay close to the airport the hotel is fine. However its far from the city (considering Istanbul traffic)

ı am an spg member for 10 years and for one decade I was never been so humılıated ın receptıon because I dıd not know I undergraded to Gold member because for 4 years I was Platınum.
So somebody at receptıon named Kazım started to make jokes ın Turkısh language and dıdı not ınformed me I could stay ın Club lounge for a fee.Thıs person prefered to humılıate me ınstead of gıvıng me the ınformatıon.I found out I could stay at Club loung for a fee ONLY by phone wıth guest relatıon. It ıs a shame to Sheraton and starwood to have emploees such lıke thıs one.

no executive FL. it seems that house keeping is not controlling insect such as mosquitoes. had to wake up middle of the night asking for repellent. called GRO and nobody was avail to help. staff English should be improved. property was ok but little bit old inside. airport pick up request was transferred to other private agency and failed to show up at the airport. only good thing here is close to galleria mall with food court. house keeping and GRO should improve English and services.

Stayed here on vacation. Hotel was empty but no upgrade offered. Lounge food was sub par. Minimal help in English. Would not stay here again.

I am a big fan of this Sheraton property. I was recently stranded at midnight at the airport and had to find a place to stay. While this property is sometimes called an airport hotel, don’t let that mislead you – this is not your average airport hotel. It is close and convenient to the airport and other attractions. It is a beautiful hotel with yummy food and great service. I arrived at midnight and the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped me get checked in an apologized for the wait. They upgraded me to a beautiful suite on the 24th floor that looked out on the water. The view was spectacular! The suite was perfect and had a great bathroom with separate tub and shower.

I have spent 3 nights at this hotel in March 2013. At check-in, my rate booked through spg.com that included free internet was not honoured and had to argue with the front desk until they finally accepted to give free internet. They also requested me to send my case on email so that they can investigate. I never got a reply.
The hotel location has some advantages and major disadvantages as well. There is a nice view from the hotel rooms to the sea and a nearby marina. It is also close (but not too close) to the airport. However, to get to the city, you will need to go by taxi, which can be very cumbersome in peak hours. There is also a shuttle service, but I only discovered after checking-out, as they failed to give us this information, although we requested guidance from them on how to get to the metro station and the city center.
As a Gold member, I was not recognized by other than the minimum benefits (choice of welcome gifts). No higher floor, corner or other type of enhanced room was offered at check-in.
All in all, I would only recommend this hotel if you have business in the area or need to be close to the airport.

I stayed at this hotel from October 22nd thru 25th. Nights were very cold. Heater did not work and room was very cold during the nights. We talk to reception twice the answer ,they can not do anything because they did not turn on heating yet. Which surprised me very much for a 5 star hotel. Also room smell like sewer smell was coming from shower , they must have sewer problem. Food was terrible at the restaurant. Restaurant service was good.
